SCREENING FOR AND MONITORING A CONDITION
A computer-implemented method and system for screening for and monitoring a condition are provided. In a method conducted at a communication device a virtual environment is provided which is output to a user via one or more output components of the communication device. The user is required to interact with the environment by way of a series of instructions input into the communication device. The virtual environment includes a number of environment-based discriminators which, based on a user's interaction relative thereto, facilitate discrimination between a user with and without a condition. Data points relating to the user's interaction in relation to each of the number of environment-based discriminators are recorded and compiled into a payload including a user identifier. The payload is output for input into a machine learning component configured to discriminate between users with and without the condition by identifying patterns in the data points.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
[Object] To provide an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program capable of recognizing a state of a brain function of the user through a natural interaction with the user. [Solution] An information processing device including: an acquisition unit configured to acquire a response of a user to a question regarding personal information or action information of the user; a determination unit configured to determine true or false of the response; and a storage unit configured to store the question, the response, and a determination result in association with each other.
System and signatures for the multi-modal physiological stimulation and assessment of brain health
A system for assessing brain health of a user includes an electronics module including an active brainwave sensor that collects channels of electroencephalography (EEG) brainwave data, a plurality of biological sensors, and a stimulation device. The biological sensors include a microphone that captures verbal responses of the subject during a battery of tasks, an image sensor that records eye positions, eye saccade and other biometric identification information, an accelerometer, a gyrometer, a thermometer, a pulse oximetry sensor, a dermal skin conductance sensor, and key strokes, mouse clicks or touch events to measure cognitive data of the user. The stimulation device applies a battery of tasks including a visual or photic stimulant, an auditory stimulant, a gastronomic stimulant, an olfactory stimulant, a touch stimulant, and a cognitive challenge stimulant to the user. The plurality of biological sensors simultaneously measure the body's response to stimulants for recordation by the electronics module.
MRI method for in vivo detection of amyloid and pathology in the Alzheimer brain
Disclosed are systems, biomarkers, and methods for the diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease.
SEARCHING SYSTEM FOR BIOSIGNATURE EXTRACTION AND BIOMARKER DISCOVERY
An automated system and method is provided for biotype extraction and biomarker discovery from task-based fMRI imaging data. The system and method may include automatically mapping a localizome, such as a task-condition/contrast/population-specific brain functional localizome, based on fMRI data and automatically selecting and sorting brain regions or brain nodes to produce a subset of functional brain regions or brain nodes. A report may then be generated indicating that the subject has a particular brain circuit pattern of activity and connectivity associated with one or more symptoms of the given mental disorder, treatments, or associated with normal brain functions, based upon the extracted biosignatures by searching for the optimal multivariate classifier with least dimensionality in the brain functional localizome. These biosignatures and biomarkers that reveal hidden, implicit, and latent brain circuit patterns provoked by fMRI tasks, can also provide for the development of non-invasive diagnostics and targeted therapeutics in neuropsychiatric diseases.
Medication Enhancement Systems and Methods for Cognitive Benefit
Systems and methods for providing cognitive therapy to a patient are provided, which include a head mounted device wearable by the patient, a display configured to present one or more cognitive game scenes to the patient, one or more controllers for interacting with the cognitive training scenes, a cognitive engagement detection device configured to detect cognitive engagement of the patient and generate data indicative of the cognitive engagement of the patient, and a processor. The processor determines a level of cognitive engagement of the patient based at least in part on the data generated by the cognitive engagement detection device, determines performance of the patient interacting with the one or more cognitive training scenes based on information received from the one or more controllers, and determines cognitive improvement of the patient based on the cognitive engagement, cognitive medication taken, and the performance of the patient.
LEARNING METHOD, ESTIMATING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A learning method performed by a computer the learning method includes obtaining a posture of a target person and characteristics of external factors of the target person; generating a time series model related to the characteristics of the external factors based on the obtained characteristics of the external factors at different time points; and determining whether the target person has a disorder of an internal factor based on the obtained posture and the generated time series model.
Systems, Devices, and Methods of Determining Data Associated with a Persons Eyes
A system may detect a neurological impairment of a patient based, at least in part, on optical data. The system may include a computing device including a display to present visual information to a patient and an optical sensor to capture optical data of eyes and facial muscles surround the eyes of the patient. The computing device may further include a processor to generate data indicative of impairment based on the optical data.
METHODS OF EVALUATING CEREBROVASCULAR REACTIVITY USING TRANSCRANIAL DOPPLER
Provided here are methods of detecting compromised cerebrovascular reactivity in a subject and treating such subject. The method includes acquiring transcranial Doppler signals and cardiac measurements from the subject following a breath-hold maneuver and recording a test set of CBFV measurements. A breath-hold acceleration index is calculated based on a linear regression correlation of temporal variations of the mean velocity across all cardiac cycles during the breath-hold maneuver. The presence of compromised cerebrovascular reactivity in the subject is detected in response to variations in the breath-hold acceleration index of the subject as compared to a healthy individual performing breath-hold maneuver under similar conditions. If the subject has compromised cerebrovascular reactivity, a therapeutically effective compound is administered to the subject along with provision of behavioral modification regimen.
Methods and systems for the detection of disease
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for the detection of alterations in glucose metabolism in a subject. The disclosed methods and systems provide, in certain embodiments, administering a first eye test to the subject when the subject is in a normal state, obtaining a first set of one or more images of the first eye test of the subject, administering a second eye test to the subject and obtaining a second set of one or more images of the second eye test of the subject. The methods further provide for analyzing one or more differences identified between the first set of one or more images and the second set of one or more images.
