SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTRACAVITARY TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT AND MONITORING
Systems and methods for measuring and monitoring intracavitary tissue temperature. The system may include a catheter shaft with a circuit board disposed therein, the circuit board having an array of sensors disposed thereon. The catheter shaft may have an opening and an expandable structure surrounding the opening to provide a field of view of the intracavitary tissue for the array of sensors through the opening. The system may include a software-based programming system run on a computer such that a clinician may review information indicative of temperature of the intracavitary tissue, and be alerted if the temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold.
Multi-Channel Catheter Connection for Anatomical Manometry
An anatomical manometry catheter system, comprising a plurality of balloons on the distal end and being configured to be inflatable and/or deflatable. The system includes a connector assembly coaxially aligned with the catheter assembly, the connector assembly being connectable to the proximal end of the catheter. The connector assembly may have a connector interface connected to the proximal end of the catheter. The connector assembly may include a manifold comprising a plurality of channels configured to deliver the pressure transmission medium therethrough toward a respective catheter lumen for inflating one or more balloons. The connector assembly may include a charging mechanism fluidly coupled to the catheter that facilitates inflating each balloon of the plurality of balloons by a common actuating mechanism so as to simultaneously charge each balloon of the plurality of balloons.
LARYNGEAL MECHANOSENSOR STIMULATOR
This invention is a device that provides feedback controlled pressure output that delivers a highly controlled and accurate air stimulus into the larynx for diagnostic use. The device is designed to be significantly more accurate, safer for the patient, and highly modular for easy future modifications compared to previously available commercial devices.
ORGAN CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present invention relates to an organ classification system, and the system for classifying the type of an organ may comprise: a search unit for searching an input image for a frame where an image regarding an organ starts, on the basis of a plurality of organ images pre-learned according to types of organs; an obtainment unit for obtaining an image of a found frame from the input image; and a storage unit for storing location information of the found frame in the input image.
MEDICAL STRING KIT
An apparatus comprising a string for insertion into the oesophagus of a patient, the string comprising proximal end and a distal end, wherein the string forms a structure at the distal end thereof to assist in the insertion of the string into the patient.
PROCESS FOR VISUAL DETERMINATION OF TISSUE BIOLOGY
A method of analysing a target bodily tissue of a subject. The method involves manipulating image data from the target bodily tissue and a background bodily tissue after dosing the subject with a contrast agent. The relative intensities of the light emitted from selected areas of the target bodily tissue and background bodily tissue at different time points after dosing are compared to determine whether 1) the intensity of light emitted from the target bodily tissue is lower than the intensity of light emitted from the background bodily tissue during the first part of the time period; and/or 2) the intensity of light emitted from the target bodily tissue is higher than the intensity of light emitted from the background bodily tissue during the second part of the time period; to assist in the determination of whether the target bodily tissue is benign or malignant.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC PERFUSION MEASUREMENT
The present disclosure relates to a system and a method for automatically measuring and assessing hemodynamics in tissue of an anatomical structure of a subject. In particular the present disclosure relates to continuously measuring and assessing hemodynamics in medical procedures using fluorescence imaging and wherein the administration of the fluorescent agent is controlled and automated. One aspect relates to a method of automatic perfusion assessment of an anatomical structure of a subject, the method comprising administration into a vein of a bolus corresponding to less than 0.005 mg ICG/kg body weight of a first fluorescence imaging agent. Another aspect relates to a system for automatic perfusion assessment of an anatomical structure during a medical procedure of a subject comprising a controllable injection pump for holding at least one first fluorescence imaging agent, the injection pump being configured for injecting a predefined amount of said first fluorescence imaging agent into the blood of the subject, wherein the system is configured for receiving and analysing a time series of fluorescence images of the tissue of said anatomical structure following the injection of the first fluorescence imaging agent, and determining at least one perfusion parameter of said anatomical structure based on said analysis.
Esophagus position detection by electrical mapping
A method of estimating a spatial relationship between at least a part of a patient esophagus and a heart chamber, including: measuring at least one electric parameter at one or more positions within the heart chamber to obtain measured values; and estimating the spatial relationship based on the measured values.
Diagnosis Support Apparatus and Diagnosis Support Program
A diagnosis support apparatus includes an examination unit, a landmark setting unit, an analysis-and-diagnosis unit, and a display control unit. The examination unit acquires a pressure when an object passes through a gastrointestinal tract inside a subject from a sensor placed along a longitudinal direction of the gastrointestinal tract. The landmark setting unit automatically sets a landmark according to a predetermined condition based on an examination result acquired by the examination unit. The analysis-and-diagnosis unit analyzes the examination result using the set landmark to acquire an analysis result. The display control unit displays the analysis result on a display unit.
Systems and methods for mechanical displacement of an esophagus
An example assembly for use with a vacuum system and an esophageal positioning device esophageal positioning device includes an introducer, in which the esophageal positioning device includes a handle, a first segment, a second segment and an articulation driving mechanism. The first segment being coupled to the handle. The second segment being pivotally connected to the first segment. The articulation driving mechanism being configured to pivot the second segment about the first segment upon articulation.
