Object provided with an electro-optic display device
An object includes an electro-optic display device provided with an optically active element, the optical properties thereof can be modified by applying an electric voltage or current between at least one electrode and one corresponding auxiliary electrode, between which the optically active element is disposed. The object further includes a middle part which delimits an opening closed by a crystal including a bottom surface beneath which the electro-optic display device is arranged. The crystal is provided with an opaque frame which is made remotely from the edges of the opening and which covers the contour of the electro-optic display device so as to conceal electrical connection elements. The electro-optic display device defines an active display area which is confined by the opaque frame, such that, when the electro-optic display device is activated and displaying information, a transparent area remains between the opaque frame and the edges of the opening.
Wearable electronic device including ventilation and waterproof structure
Provided is an electronic device including a housing, a plate coupled to one surface of the housing, and an adhesive member at least partially disposed in a coupling portion between the housing and the plate and including a plurality of layers. The adhesive member includes at least one waterproof-ventilation layer to perform a ventilation function and a waterproof function.
Display device and timepiece
A display device includes a display panel that has a curved part at least at a part of an outer edge of the display panel. The display device also includes a bent connector that is arranged along the curved part and electrically connected to the display panel.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD
A control method and an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes: a housing having an accommodating space, where the housing is provided with a recess around the accommodating space, and a first electrode and a second electrode are disposed on a bottom surface of the recess; and a bezel, where at least one part of the bezel is disposed in the recess. When the bezel is located at a first position of the recess, the first electrode and the second electrode are conductively connected; and when the bezel is located at a second position of the recess, the first electrode and the second electrode are conductively disconnected.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD
An electronic device and a control method are provided. The electronic device includes: a housing with an accommodating space, where the housing is provided with a groove surrounding the accommodating space, and a first dielectric and a second dielectric are disposed on a sidewall of the groove; and a bezel, where at least part of the bezel is disposed in the groove; and the bezel is capable of rotating around an axial direction of the housing in the groove.
METHOD FOR MANAGING A DISPLAY INTERFACE
The invention relates to a method for managing a display interface formed of a plurality of display screens (3) of smartwatches (1) worn on parts of the body of users, which parts are capable of moving or are moving, said watches (1) being located in proximity of one another, the method comprising the following steps: estimating (10) at least one broadcasting property of each display screen (3) in said display interface which they form together, and managing the display (15) of a visual message on said display interface comprising a substep (18) of generating portions of said visual message as a function of measurement data relating to at least one broadcasting property, each portion being intended to be displayed on the screen (3) of each smartwatch (1); broadcasting (19) portions of said message on each screen (3) constituting this display interface.
User-worn device with extendable display
A user-wearable device comprises a device band and a housing section connected to the device band. The housing section comprises a roller and an extendable display spooled around the roller. The extendable display comprises a first end that is attached to the roller. The user-wearable device also comprises an anchor that is attached to a second end of the extendable display and that is located outside the housing section. The user-wearable device comprises a locking mechanism attached to the anchor. Separating the anchor from the housing section causes the extendable display to unspool from the roller and extend out of the housing section.
Watch band with adjustable color
Watch bands described herein include electrochromic features that provide adjustable color control based on an applied voltage to offer a variety of colors and color combinations to be displayed by a single band. The user or a control system can control, select, and/or adjust one or more colors of the watch band for visual display. Accordingly, a variety of colors can be displayed at different times without requiring different watch bands for each color or color combination. The color changing features can be used as a visual output of information from the watch to the user.
Luxury Smartwatch
A system for transforming a regular smartwatch into a luxury item, comprising, a smartwatch unit including at least the display unit of the smartwatch; and a box including a housing to accommodate said smartwatch, said box having a cover being openable and closeable to cover said display unit, wherein said cover has at least one hole so that a corresponding portion of said display unit is visible to a user when said cover is in closed position, wherein when said cover is in closed position, the smartwatch unit displays the output of the smartwatch in on said corresponding portion of the display.
AUTOMATIC ALIGNMENT OF WRIST-MOUNTED DISPLAY WITH ANOTHER DISPLAY DEVICE
Disclosed are techniques for automatically aligning a wrist-mounted display device to a primary display device to facilitate simultaneous use of both display devices. Historical usage information corresponding to a user using both devices is leveraged to determine usage patterns for the devices together. Subsequently, when the primary display device is used by the user, the usage patterns are used to determine when the wrist-mounted display device can be used together with the primary display device. Position information from each device is used to determine a position for the wrist-mounted display device to automatically relocate to for aligning the wrist-mounted display device and the primary display device to have similar viewing directions. The wrist-mounted display device is automatically aligned to the position, and a usage of the aligned wrist-mounted display device is initiated based on the historical usage patterns.
