In certain aspects, devices and methods for an oral appliance holder that can detect analyte information originating from oral appliances stored in the appliance holder. The analyte information can be derived from found in volatilized compounds detected within the appliance holder. The appliance holder can directly or indirectly communicate with a server that is configured to process the analyte information. The analyte information can be processed to develop a wellness profile.

MACHINE-LEARNING BASED BIOSENSOR SYSTEM

Electrical characteristics of an electrical signal generated by an affinity-based senor are detected, where the affinity-based sensor is configured to bind to a particular biomarker within a body fluid sample and generate the electrical signal based on binding to the particular biomarker. One or more biometric characteristics of a subject are further detected from one or more other sensors. A data set comprising data describing each of the electrical characteristics and each of the one or more biometric characteristics is provided as an input to a machine learning model, which generates an output based on the input that identifies an amount of the particular biomarker present in the body fluid sample based on the input.

Method and apparatus for hydration level of a person

In one embodiment, a hydration sensor or sensing element is configured to measure the hydration level of a user. The sensing element can include a water-permeable material positioned in between two water-impermeable material. The sensing element can be coupled to a bottle of fluid, or a carrier with a timer. The sensing element can be incorporated into a handheld device. The sensing element can be a disposable element, an element applicable for more than one-time use, or a re-usable element. The sensing element or sensor can be calibrated for a specific user or a group of users. One or more additional sensors that do not measure hydration level of the user can be coupled to a hydration sensing element to determine the amount of fluid consumption for the user in different conditions.

An intraoral multisensor device includes a mouthpiece, a plurality of sensors at least one of attached to or integrated with the mouthpiece, and a data communications unit configured to receive signals from the plurality of sensors. The mouthpiece has a form to permit stable arrangement at least partially within a person's mouth such that it can remain for hands-free sensing of a plurality of biological parameters. Also, an intraoral multisensor system includes an intraoral multisensor device and a data processing device adapted to communicate with the intraoral multisensor device.

Oral hygiene system for compliance monitoring and tele-dentistry system

Oral hygiene monitoring system is disclosed to track motion and orientation of an oral hygiene device. The control system may process data output from a motion sensor to determine position and orientation of an oral hygiene device with respect to a user's mouth. In some examples, the system may use machine learning techniques to identify position and orientation, brush stroke type, and other specific actions.

Screening test for caries activity and caries risk assessmbased on the combined production of acid and alkali in the oral cavity (acid-base caries test: abc-test)

Effective monitoring of the acid/base physiology of dental plaque is considered in caries risk assessment. The invention provides a methodology for caries risk assessment and a kit of biochemical tests for acid/alkali generation in dental plaque and in saliva as a screening instrument for identifying subjects with caries. The invention provides simple chair-side tests that measure the ability of dental plaque and/or saliva to metabolize sugars concomitantly with the ability to metabolize urea and other salivary nitrogenous substrates.
