Automatic visual and acoustic analytics for event detection
Systems and methods are provided for detecting events in industrial processes. An acquisition system may include one of a camera and an audio recorder to acquire monitoring data in the form of one of imaging data and acoustic data, respectively. A computer system, may include a machine learning engine and may be programmed to classify the monitoring data under a classifier, quantify, based on the classifier, the monitoring data with at least one quantifier, and detect an event when the at least one quantifier satisfies a predetermined rule corresponding to the at least one quantifier.

Control device with current protected solid state relays
A control device, such as a smart thermostat, employs solid state relays as switches to activate and deactivate systems controlled by the device. By measuring the current flow through the power buses to one or more of the solid state relays of the control device, potentially damaging over current conditions can be distinguished from permissible transient over-current conditions and the control device can deactivate any solid state relays which would be damaged while allowing solid state relays which are experiencing allowable transients to remain operating. In the case of a severe over current condition, a current monitoring device can issue a fault signal, triggering an interrupt condition which will cause a processor in the controller to shut down the affected solid state relays very quickly.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing a visual program for machine vision systems
Techniques include systems, computerized methods, and computer readable media for creating a graphical program in a graphical program development environment. A spreadsheet node having an input terminal in the graphical program is instantiated. The spreadsheet node is associated with a spreadsheet that specifies a list of functions to be executed in a computing device, and the input terminal is connected to the first terminal of the first node, indicating a data connection between the first terminal of the first node and the input terminal of the spreadsheet node. The input terminal of the spreadsheet node is associated with a first cell in the spreadsheet, indicating that the first cell in the spreadsheet be populated with any data received by the input terminal. A human readable file is generated specifying the graphical program, including the spreadsheet node.

APPARATUS FOR DETECTING WEARING OF BODY PROTECTION GEAR
A personal protective equipment wearing detection apparatus is provided which can accurately detect the approach or contact of a person's head by use of a plurality of contact detection sensors. A personal protective equipment wearing detection apparatus 100 includes a headband contact detection sensor 110 and a chin strap contact detection sensor 120, which are mounted on a headband 92 and a chin strap 94 of a helmet 90, respectively. The headband contact detection sensor 110 and the chin strap contact detection sensor 120 are connected to a controller 103 of a detection apparatus body 101. While one of the two contact detection sensors, the headband contact detection sensor 110 and the chin strap contact detection sensor 120, outputs a contact detection signal to the controller 103, the controller 103 connects the other contact detection sensor to GND.
Physiological monitoring devices and methods using optical sensors
A monitoring device configured to be attached to a subject includes a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor configured to measure a plurality of physiological parameters from the subject, a motion sensor configured to detect an activity state of the subject, and a processor coupled to the PPG sensor and the motion sensor. The PPG sensor is configured to measure each physiological parameter in a respective one of a plurality of time intervals. The processor instructs the PPG sensor to measure a first one of the plurality of physiological parameters if the activity state is at or above a threshold, and to measure a second one of the plurality of physiological parameters if the activity state is below the threshold.
