Controller modules
A module is described which is slidably attachable to a controller. Resource wires are connected to the module through resource connectors, The module has a circuit board that can perform actions. The module can modify the function of its resource connectors. These modifications may be to meet the requirements of resources that are to be connected to the module. The module may be able to monitor voltage, current, or power, or check for faults on the wire. The results of such monitoring may be displayed on a screen associated with the controller.
System and method for remote monitoring and control of landfill and recycling operations
A system and method for remote monitoring and control of landfill and recycling operations provide an intelligent centralized platform for remote, real-time industrial data gathering and process control for management of landfill and recycling operations such as leachate, gas, water and other liquids. The system and method can directly upload machine data (such as liquid volumes, flows, level, equipment runtime, sorter data, status, etc) into a centralized platform. This data can be used for analytics and automation of processes and equipment control.

SAFETY-DIRECTED CONTROL SYSTEM
A safety-directed control system comprises at least one safety sensor unit and at least one safety actuator unit, which are connected to one another via a fieldbus, and a programming device. Sensor connections for connecting safety sensors to the fieldbus are provided by the at least one safety sensor unit, the sensor connections being associated with safety lines. The programming device displays the available safety lines to a user via an output interface and receives a user input via an input interface, with the user input associating a selected safety response, which is executable by the safety actuator unit, with at least one selected safety line. The programming device further stores the association between the selected safety line and the selected safety response in the safety actuator unit as a safety configuration.

Apparatus and method for controlling comfort temperature of air conditioning device or air conditioning system
A method for controlling a temperature in an air conditioning device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: calculating an exponentially-weighted running mean temperature for outdoor temperatures measured for a predetermined period, setting a variable constant and a fixed constant according to the exponentially-weighted running mean temperature and an operation condition, setting a comfort temperature by multiplying the exponentially-weighted running mean temperature by the variable constant and adding the fixed constant, and controlling an indoor temperature by using the set comfort temperature. Here, the fixed constant and the variable constant are constants obtained through a regression analysis of a distribution relationship between an exponentially-weighted running mean temperature and a comfort temperature, and the distribution of comfort temperatures is linearly increased from the fixed constant with a gradient of the comfort temperature according to the exponentially-weighted running mean temperature.

Safety switch
A series connection having multiple safety switches. Here, the series connection includes wiring connecting the safety switches. The safety switches can output signals. Depending on the registration of these signals by additional safety switches of the series connection it will be detected whether the wiring is laid out for connecting a master, and whether such a master is connected. Depending on this, the operation of the safety switches is predetermined.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAG RANGING DRILLING CONTROL
System and method for controlling the drilling of a second wellbore in close proximity to a first well bore. A computer system obtains information regarding a previously drilled wellbore, as well as information regarding a second wellbore being drilled. Using information obtained from one or more magnetic sensors, the computer system determines an optimal target path for continued drilling of the second wellbore and may issue one or more control signals to one or more control systems coupled to a drilling rig to automatically drill in accordance with the selected path. The computer system can generate a plurality of potential paths using one or more cost curves and/or value curves to determine the optimal path for the second wellbore.
