DEVICE, METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING A PHYSICAL AREA NETWORK FOR REPRODUCTIVE PROTECTION
A reproductive protection device, method and system described herein enables a user to more accurately and securely implement reproductive protection by utilizing a physical area network.
Makeup assistance device, makeup assistance method, and makeup assistance program
Provided is a makeup assistance device that can assist in makeup/skin treatment more appropriately. This makeup assistance device comprises: a physical condition acquisition unit (260) that acquires physical condition information related to the physical condition of a person performing makeup and/or skin treatment; a makeup/skincare selection unit (280) that selects a makeup, which is how to apply makeup, and/or a skincare, which is how to treat the skin, on the basis of the acquired physical condition information; and a makeup/skincare presentation unit (290) that presents the selected makeup and/or skincare to the user performing makeup/skin treatment.
CALIBRATION FOR INTRA-BODY PRESSURE SENSOR MEASUREMENTS BASED ON ORIENTATION THEREOF
Disclosed is a computer-implemented method. The method comprises processing, by at least one computing device, exercise measurements taken by a pressure sensor positioned adjacent to a pelvic floor muscle (PFM) of a person at least during performance of a physical exercise, wherein the exercise measurements are indicative of a pressure exerted on the pressure sensor and an orientation of the sensor. The method also comprises calibrating, by the at least one computing device, the pressure of the processed exercise measurements at least based on the orientation of the processed exercise measurements.
Disposable pass through dilator and method of use
A dilator includes a tubular member composed of a flexible material, the tubular member forming a channel; wires extending inwardly from an interior of the tubular member into the channel; a string attached to the wires and extending through the channel; and a handle attached to the string; pulling the handle applies force to the string; force to the string causes the string to disengage from the wires such that the wires recoil against the interior of the tubular member such that the tubular member takes on a diameter of a predetermined dimension; and the tubular member in a recoiled state provides for dilation of a canal.
Chromatography-aided substance sensing in absorbent hygiene and medical products
One embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for analyzing a liquid comprising a plurality of different substances. The apparatus includes an absorber that comprises one or more layers of absorbent material for absorbing the liquid and one or more sensors embedded within the one or more layers of absorbent material. The sensors are configured to provide information associated with the different substances included in the absorbed liquid, and a location of a respective sensor is determined based on a corresponding substance detected by the sensor and a diffusion property of the substance.
Assessing fallopian tubal patency
A method of assessing Fallopian tubal patency includes introducing a distension medium into a patient's uterus, introducing a contrasting medium into the uterus, and observing the contrasting medium, for example, via a hysteroscope, to determine whether the contrasting medium flows into one or both Fallopian tubes. A device for assessing Fallopian tubal patency includes a chamber for receiving contrast media, a flow path through the chamber for delivering distension media to a patient's uterus, and a flow controller for regulating the flow of distension media to the patient's uterus. The flow path is configured to permit flow of contrast media from the chamber into the flow path.
Resonance Raman spectroscopy analyzer instrument for biomolecules in tissues and cells
A method to detect vibrations associated with biomolecules in tissues and cellsuses Resonance Raman (RR) spectroscopy to measure specific biomolecules in tissue and cells signals. The changes of RR lines of key molecules present to the chemical conformations and change due to disease such as cancer and heart disease. Biomolecules are collagen, flavins, tryptophan, NADH, NAD, etc. The laser beams excite RR of vibration associated with absorption of the key native molecules in tissue (Tryptophan, NADH, Flavins, Collagen, carotenoids, porphyrins and others. The margin assessment and RR images in 2D and 3D regions are found by RR signals using position scanners. The intensity and the numbers of molecule fingerprints indicate the presence of and the degree of the changes of chemical conformations.
