Maternity Monitoring Device and Method
20180317834 · 2018-11-08 ·

A monitoring device for monitoring a plurality of parameters of a patient that includes a first sensor placed on the chest wall of a patient, a cord connecting the first sensor to a second sensor placed on a major artery of the upper arm of the patient, and an inflatable cuff placed around the upper arm of the patient. The device includes a screen that displays one of the plurality of parameters and the date and time the parameter was measured. The device can include an automatic messaging system and an automatic alert system, functioning as a standalone unit. When connected to a computer or mobile device, medical personnel can access an obstetric electronic health system to obtain medical guidelines based on alerts from the device. Personnel with the device at a remote center can communicate with a designated center with emergency obstetric care through this electronic health system.

Systems, Devices, and Methods for Tracking Abdominal Orientation and Activity
20180303405 · 2018-10-25 ·

The various embodiments herein relate to systems, devices, and methods for tracking abdominal orientation and activity for purposes of preventing or treating conditions of pregnancy or other types of medical conditions. In certain specific embodiments, the system, device, or method relates to identifying abdominal orientation risk values, calculating and updating a cumulative risk value, comparing the cumulative risk value to a threshold, and outputting a warning when the cumulative risk value crosses the threshold.

METHODS FOR IDENTIFICATION OF PREGNANCY FAILURE
20180299459 · 2018-10-18 ·

Provided is a method for identifying pregnancy failure in a subject, the method comprising determining a concentration of at least one element of fetal or embryonic origin in the vaginal fluid of the subject; and comparing the concentration of the at least one element of fetal or embryonic origin to a reference value, wherein when the concentration of the at least one element of fetal or embryonic origin in the vaginal fluid is higher than the reference value, pregnancy failure is indicated.

INTERACTIVE DATA ACQUISITION AND RECONSTRUCTION BY A MAGNETIC RESONANCE SYSTEM

The disclosure relates to a method for the interactive acquisition of data from an object under investigation by a magnetic resonance system. The data is acquired from the object under investigation with the magnetic resonance system and images are automatically reconstructed and displayed in real time based on the data. A time interval is determined during which a predetermined condition is met in the images. Quality images are automatically reconstructed based on the data acquired within the time interval. The temporal resolution during reconstruction of the quality images is higher than the temporal resolution during reconstruction of the images.

DRUG DEVICE CONFIGURED FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

This invention relates to an ingestible drug delivery device configured for wireless communication with other ingestible drug delivery devices.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING TRANS-ABDOMINAL FETAL OXIMETRY AND/OR TRANS-ABDOMINAL FETAL PULSE OXIMETRY USING DC OXIMETRY MEASUREMENTS

Analysis of a transabdominally-obtained composite non-pulsatile, or DC signal, for a pregnant mammal and her fetus may provide an indication of a hemoglobin oxygen saturation level for the fetus' non-pulsatile, or venous, blood. This analysis of the composite DC signal may allow for the determination of a relative and/or absolute indication of fetal hemoglobin saturation level for non-pulsatile, or venous, blood without requiring analysis of a fetal pulsatile, or AC, signal.

Labor monitoring of pelvic floor
10080520 · 2018-09-25 · ·

The present disclosure provides devices that noninvasively monitor the activity of pelvic floor muscles during labor, and in embodiments also provides perivaginal tissue support. electrode sensors are applied to perivaginal tissue and, in embodiments, a perivaginal support device during labor. The electrode signals are analyzed to estimate an efficacy of voluntary pushing and the efficacy is used, at least in part, to predict a success of vaginal birth. A pressure detection system may also be included with the perivaginal support device to detect pressure indicative of pressure on the perivaginal tissue of a patient, which may be modified to prevent tissue damage to the patient. The incidence of Cesarean childbirth may be reduced by managing the labor process in this manner. In one aspect, a tactile feedback device is positioned adjacent the perivaginal tissues.

TEMPERATURE-SENSING OPHTHALMIC DEVICE
20180267338 · 2018-09-20 ·

The present disclosure relates to sensor systems for electronic ophthalmic devices. In certain embodiments, the sensor systems may comprise a temperature sensor disposed adjacent an eye of a user, the temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature on or adjacent an eye of a wearer of the ophthalmic device, the temperature sensor further configured to provide an output indicative of the sensed temperature and a processor configured to receive the output and to determine a physiological characteristic of the user based at least on the output.

METHOD AND DEVICE TO AUTOMATICALLY DETECT CALVING

The invention relates to a method to automatically predict a calving moment of a cow, comprising: recording, by a three-dimensional camera system, at least one three-dimensional image of the cow, processing, by a processing device, the at least one image of the cow, wherein processing of the image comprises determining a parameter indicative of the calving moment, and predicting a calving moment of the cow on the basis of the parameter.
