MULTIFUNCTIONAL DEVICE AND METHODS FOR IMAGING SURFACE/VOLUME IRREGULARITIES
The disclosure relates to systems, methods and programs for generating an image depicting the deformations of a surface and/or volume portion of a subject as a consequence of the surface's and/or volume's structural irregularities (SViR), as a function of density and/or changes in refraction index irregularities and less as a function of color. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a method of imaging a scattering surface and/or volume implementable in a system having a radiation source (RS) operable to illuminate the scattering surface and/or volume portion from different states of illuminations, such as, for example, angular position changes of RS's Poynting Vector (PV), and collect a plurality of images for each state of PV. Due to the effect generated by the altering PV, images experience lateral motion and lateral phase flow as a new tool to reveal SViR.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING SKIN TIGHTENING
Embodiments relate to an apparatus for evaluating skin tightening and a method for evaluating skin tightening by using the same, the apparatus comprising: a suction device for suctioning skin by a predetermined pressure for a predetermined time; a height measurement unit for measuring the height of the skin, which is changed by the suctioning; and a skin tightening evaluation unit for evaluating the degree of skin tightening on the basis of the measured height.
Electronic device which can be adhered to skin and method for manufacturing the same
Exemplary embodiments relate to a skin-adherable electronic device including a semiconductor circuit unit including a circuit element including an electrode and an interconnect, and a semiconductor device including an insulating layer and an active layer; and a flexible patch that can adhere to skin and including a plurality of through-holes, wherein the insulating layer includes a plurality of through-holes corresponding to the plurality of through-holes of the flexible patch, and a method of manufacturing the same. When the active layer is made of a piezoelectric material, the electronic device may be used as a skin sensor that can acquire skin deformation and/or elasticity information.
Personal care device with camera
A personal care system having a treatment device for applying a treatment to the skin or hair of a user is provided. The treatment device has a camera for taking an image of the skin. The system may include or be in communication with an application programming interface (API) that can process the image. The system or an associated API can recommend the use of treatment regimens or topical products according to information determined from the digital image of the skin.
SNAPSHOT MULTISPECTRAL IMAGER FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
The present invention is a camera with video-rate acquisition and processing for medical imaging applications. In particular, the invention is used to determine the health of a body area by quantitatively measuring blood oxygen levels and melanin content from a real-time video image of a body segment. In certain embodiments, a camera comprises an objective lens; a filter tray located at an aperture stop of the objective lens, wherein the filter tray comprises a plurality of elements, each element passes a spectral band of light; a micro-lens array located at an exit pupil of the objective lens comprising a plurality of micro lenses to form an image plane, wherein the objective lens produces a focused image at the image plane; and a focal plane array comprising a plurality of sensors, wherein each sensor receives light from at least one micro-lens of the micro-lens array.
HYPERSPECTRAL SCANNING TO DETERMINE SKIN HEALTH
A system, method, and computer readable media are provided for obtaining a first set of skin data from an image capture system including at least one ultraviolet (UV) image of a user's skin. Performing a correction on the skin data using a second set of skin data associated with the user. Quantifying a plurality of skin parameters of the user's skin based on the first skin data, including quantifying a bacterial load. Quantifying the bacterial load by applying a brightness filter to isolate portions of the at least one UV image containing fluorescence, applying a dust filter, identifying portions of the at least one UV image that contain fluorescence due to bacteria, and determining a quantity of bacterial load in the users skin. Determining, using a machine learning model, an output associated with a normal skin state of the user and a current skin state of the user.
MACHINE LEARNING BASED SKIN CONDITION RECOMMENDATION ENGINE
A skin condition recommendation engine identifies skin conditions of a user's face and recommends actions and/or products that increase a likelihood that the skin conditions will be remedied. The skin condition recommendation engine trains a machine learned model using a training set of information that includes images and identified skin conditions of training users' faces. The skin condition recommendation engine inputs images of the user's face into the machine learned model, which outputs identified skin conditions of the user. The skin condition recommendation engine accordingly identifies actions that, if performed by the user, would increase a likelihood of the skin conditions being remedied. The skin condition recommendation engine modifies an interface of a device of the user to show the identified actions.
SKIN TORSIONOMETER
Skin torsionometers, methods and systems for using such skin torsionometers, and systems including a skin torsionometer, computing device configured to capture images, and an application (app) for determining the tautness of skin are described herein.
