SYSTEM, METHOD AND ARTICLE FOR NORMALIZATION AND ENHANCEMENT OF TISSUE IMAGES
In medical imaging, a fiducial marker facilitates tissue image correlation that allows for image analysis, normalization and correction of the optical exposure and spectral and spatial distribution in order to compensate for the surface reflections, sub surface tissue interactions and spatial orientation of the excitation and imaging axes to the subject tissue. Using a cross comparison, clinicians can model tissue image data in different forms in order to reference and compare data from various spectral components and or from different images. This may enhance human interpretation between images including the variations between images even when the spectral, spatial and optical conditions or the image resolution or sensitivity are compromised. Such may be used to assess cosmetic, moisturizing, therapeutic materials and treatments.

The sensor includes a working electrode having a first wire with a first flat surface and an electrochemical element on the first flat surface. A reference electrode includes a second wire with a second flat surface and a counter electrode includes a third wire with a third flat surface. The first wire is a first sensor wire for the working electrode, the second wire is a second sensor wire for the reference electrode and the third wire is a third sensor wire for the counter electrode in a plurality of sensor wires. The second flat surface and the third flat surface face toward each other.

An apparatus includes a body and an actuator is coupled to the body. A needle is mounted to the actuator. The needle comprises a slot along a length to a tip. A sensor is coupled to a plurality of wires. A base is configured to be moveable by the actuator and includes a cutout, a circuit board having a microprocessor, and a plurality of contacts. Each contact is coupled to a wire of the plurality of wires. A power source is connected to the circuit board and to the base. A bracket is coupled to the bottom surface of the body and configured to receive the base. A patch is coupled to the bracket and has an adhesive. A needle is configured to be moveable by the actuator. The plurality of wires extend from the circuit board of the base, through the needle and out of the slot.

A skin care evaluation method, which is adapted for an electronic device to evaluate a skin care procedure including a plurality of skin care behaviors. The skin care evaluation method includes following steps. A plurality of image information is sequentially captured at a plurality of image capturing time. A plurality of user actions corresponding to the image information is analyzed, where a plurality of consecutive image information of the image information corresponds to one of the user actions. The image information is classified to the skin care behaviors according to the user action corresponding to each of the image information. Each of the skin care behaviors corresponds to a plurality of the user actions. A duration of each of the skin care behaviors is calculated according to the image capturing time of the image information classified to each of the skin care behaviors. An electronic device using the skin care evaluation method is also provided.

A method of facial treatment of a user while wearing a treatment system is disclosed. The treatment system includes a flexible film and circuitry disposed on or within the flexible film. The method includes conformally disposing the flexible film over a face of the user and applying a radio frequency (RF) wave, generated by the circuitry, on skin of the face. The method eliminates the need for a user (or a third-party operator) to hold the device by hand. In addition, the thin film can be configured as a face mask allowing treatment over a large area of skin at any given time.

A tool for use with an image capturing device for enabling capture of an image for analysis and/or evaluation. The tool includes a first end and a second end being connected by at least one wall. The first end is configured to be positioned over a surface enclosing a target facial area of a user for image capture thereof, and the second end is configured to receive the image capturing device. The second end includes an inner surface facing the first end and an outer surface. The tool may also include a reflective device located at the inner surface of the second end for aligning the position of the first end over the surface such that the target facial area is enclosed for image capture thereof.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AND MONITORING CHANGES OF A SUSPECT AREA OF A PATIENT
A device for acquiring first and subsequent images of a suspect area on a patient and methods for monitoring or detecting changes of the suspect area over time and providing notification when the changes exceed a threshold. The device may be an imaging device, such as a digital camera, possibly augmented with physical or optical devices for arranging the orientation and/or distance of the imaging device with respect to the suspect area. In addition, methods for identifying, relocating, acquiring a first and/or subsequent image of the suspect area, and performing a comparative analysis of respective images are also described. Results of the comparative analysis can be used to notify and/or assist a medical professional in treating or counselling the patient.
