Apparatus and method for determining cosmetic skin attributes
A method of determining a cosmetic skin attribute of a person is provided. The method includes obtaining a color channel image of a person's skin, analyzing the color channel image with a computer using entropy statistics to obtain an entropy value, and then determining a cosmetic skin attribute for the person based on the entropy value.
SYSTEM FOR CHARACTERIZING TISSUE AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A system for characterizing tissue includes a probe that delivers a continuous and periodic mechanical vibration to a tissue of a subject; an ultrasound emitter that emits a sequence of ultrasound shots and an ultrasound receiver that receives corresponding echo signals to track how the tissue is moved by the periodic mechanical vibration delivered to the tissue; and a control module programmed to provide homogeneity information to an operator of the system, the homogeneity information being determined from at least some of the echo signals and being representative of the ability of the tissue to transmit elastic waves and of the homogeneity of the tissue with respect to the propagation of elastic waves.
Matching Cosmetics and Skin Care Products Based on Skin Tone and Skin Condition Scanning
Scanning a person’s skin allows one to more easily find products that match their skin tone and skin condition. A skin scan can assist one to determine what products are appropriate for them and then purchase them from a retailer. A scanning device is used to scan one or more locations of a person’s skin. For example, two different locations of a person’s face can be scanned, such as the forehead and cheek. An additional third scan may be near the person’s eyes. The scan determines skin tone and skin condition results for the person’s skin. These results can be used to determine and present a listing of products that are appropriate for the person’s skin tone and skin condition.
Continuous glucose monitoring device
An apparatus includes a body and an actuator is coupled to the body. A needle is mounted to the actuator. The needle comprises a slot along a length to a tip. A sensor is coupled to a plurality of wires. A base is configured to be moveable by the actuator and includes a cutout, a circuit board having a microprocessor, and a plurality of contacts. Each contact is coupled to a wire of the plurality of wires. A power source is connected to the circuit board and to the base. A bracket is coupled to the bottom surface of the body and configured to receive the base. A patch is coupled to the bracket and has an adhesive. A needle is configured to be moveable by the actuator. The plurality of wires extend from the circuit board of the base, through the needle and out of the slot.
ROBOTIC TATTOOING AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES
An automatic tattoo apparatus can be used to robotically apply tattoos. A customer can shop on an online tattoo marketplace to select designs created by various artists located anywhere. The online tattoo marketplace can process and manage payments, artist and/or customer profiles, bookings, tattoo design uploads, browsing and design selection, design changes, and/or perform other actions. The automatic tattoo device can apply tattoos precisely, quickly, and may with reduced pain. The tattoo apparatus can apply a wide range of different types of tattoos, including but not limited to micro tattoos, dotwork, blackwork tattoos, realism tattoos, fine-line tattoos, etc.
PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION METHOD
The invention relates to a method for recommending cosmetics, skin care products and/or dermatological products that are adapted to the condition of the skin.
Skin measurement apparatus and skin measurement system comprising ultraviolet ray emitting device
A skin measurement apparatus for emitting a plurality of lights for photographing an image of the skin. A skin measurement apparatus includes an ultraviolet ray emitting device; a white light emitting device; a focus lens enabling incident light, which is an ultraviolet ray emitted by means of the ultraviolet ray emitting device and a white light emitted by means of the white light emitting device reflected off the skin and transmitted, to pass therethrough; and an emission control device for controlling the ultraviolet ray emitting device and the white light emitting device such that the ultraviolet ray and the white light can be emitted together. The emission control device adjusts the strength of the white light on the basis of white light control information from the outside.
Determining Skin Complexion and Characteristics
Various techniques predict body complexion characteristics at least by predicting one or more objects in a plurality of first inputs via executing an object extractor. These techniques receive and classify the one or more objects into one or more respective classes, where a class of the one or more respective classes corresponds to a color index or value in a L*A*B* color space or a Lch color space. A body complexion index or value may be predicted for the at least one subject area based at least in part upon the class, where the body complexion index or value represents a body complexion characteristic of the at least one subject area. Textual and graphical information pertaining to the body complexion index or value may then be presented in a user interface of the mobile computing device that captured at least some of the plurality of first inputs.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EDEMA DETECTION
A system has an electronic interface, one or more sensors, a memory, and a control system including one or more processors. The processors are configured to execute instructions for activating an edema test, automatically or in response to receiving a user request via the electronic interface. Upon activation, user instructions are provided to locate, via one or more of the sensors, a skin area in the subject for testing. A user is instructed to depress the skin area for causing a temporary indentation. One or more images of the temporary indentation are captured, via one or more of the sensors, over a period of time following the depression of the skin area by the user. The images are analyzed for characteristics of skin bounce-back, which represents rebounding of the skin area after the temporary indentation. An edema result is determined based on the characteristics of the skin bounce-back.
GENETIC TESTING METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SKIN CARE COUNSELING
Since skin condition is significantly influenced by environmental factors associated with lifestyle habits, it has been difficult to forecast skin condition by means of SNP analysis. The purpose of the present invention is to determine one's congenital skin characteristics, which has been difficult with the prior art. The present invention provides a method for determining not only one's congenital skin characteristics but also future skin type by determining skin condition from genetic and environmental factors.
