OCCLUSAL PRESSURE ANALYSIS PROGRAM
Provided is an occlusal pressure analysis program capable of improving the accuracy of grasping the occlusal contact state in occlusal pressure acquisition by a pressure detection means, including a step of obtaining a pressure value for each minimum unit from which the pressure value can be recognized by a pressure detection means, and a step of, regarding each of the minimum units where the pressure value exists as a detection unit, separating the detection units into the detection units which can be regarded as due to occlusion and the detection units which are unclear whether they are due to occlusion, based on the pressure value.
Augmented reality enhancements for dental practitioners
A method of using AR for dentistry and orthodontics is provided. An image of a dental arch is received, the image having been generated by an image capture device associated with an augmented reality (AR) display. A processing device registers the image to previous image data associated with the dental arch, compares one or more areas of the dental arch from the image to one or more corresponding areas of the dental arch from the previous image data, determines a position of an area of interest on the dental arch based on the comparing, generates a visual overlay comprising an indication of the area of interest, and outputs the visual overlay to the AR display, wherein the visual overlay is superimposed over a view of the dental arch on the AR display at the position of the area of interest.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING AN ORAL ARCH GEOMETRY AND SELECTING A MOUTHPIECE BASED ON ORAL ARCH MEASUREMENTS
A system (10) and method for selecting a mouthpiece (25) for a user. The method includes receiving a signal with a personal care system (10) to initiate oral arch measurements using a personal care device (12). Data is collected from a position sensor (16) related to a location of a probe (14) of the personal care device as the probe is moved about an oral arch of the user. A controller (18) of the personal care system determines a dimension of the oral arch from the data. The controller selects a mouthpiece for the user based on the dimension of the oral arch. Information identifying the mouthpiece is transmitted to the user or other intended recipient.
MULTI-PLANAR INTRAORAL RF COIL FOR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
A multi-planar intraoral radio frequency (RF) coil apparatus for use in a magnetic resonance imaging system can include a housing having a shape configured to be positioned in an occlusal plane between an upper jaw and a lower jaw of a subject and a plurality of coil elements disposed within the housing. The plurality of coil elements includes a first coil element positioned in a first plane and a second coil element positioned in a second plane different from the first plane and substantially parallel to the first plane. The coil elements can be loop coil elements or dipole coil elements.
Augmented reality enhancements for dental practitioners
A system comprises a scanner, an augmented reality (AR) display and a computing device. The scanner generates intraoral images of a dental arch and the AR display generates additional image data representative of a view from a wearer of the AR display. The computing device receives the intraoral images from the intraoral scanner, generates a virtual three-dimensional model of at least a portion of the dental arch from the intraoral images, receives the additional image data from the AR display, determines, from the additional image data, a region of the view that is outside of the dental arch, generates a visual overlay comprising the virtual three-dimensional model, and sends the visual overlay to the AR display. The AR display displays the visual overlay such that the virtual three-dimensional model is shown in the region of the view that is outside of the dental arch.
Device for measuring oral cavity pressure, pressure measuring probe
A device for measuring oral cavity pressure includes the following: a pressure measuring probe having a balloon made of an elastic material is supported by a balloon base; a communicating member having an inner bore that communicates with the inside of the balloon via the balloon base to transmit the air pressure in the balloon; and a pressure detecting unit that is connected to the rear end of the communicating member and detects the transmitted air pressure. The balloon includes a pressure receiving portion that forms a cavity and a balloon tubular portion that communicates with the inside of the pressure receiving portion, and the balloon is joined to the front end portion of the balloon base with the balloon tubular portion. The balloon base has a rib that protrudes outward along the outer circumferential direction of the front end portion on the balloon side.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING PERSONAL HEALTH ADVICE BASED ON MULTIMODAL ORAL SENSING DATA
The present invention provides a system and method for providing personal health advice based on multimodal oral sensing data obtained from a plurality of user(s). The system comprises a handheld multimodal oral scanning device (101) for scanning and collecting oral health data which is transmitted to a user interface device (102) through a wireless network infrastructure. Further, an oral scanning and feedback module (103) provides real-time guidance and feedback to user(s) regarding the optimum usage of the multimodal oral scanning device (101). The collected oral health data is stored in a dynamic oral data aggregation module (104) and pre-processed by a disease classifier module (105) to detect the presence or absence of one or more disease(s) after which a personal health advice generation module (106) provides a personalized primary level advice to the user(s).
System and method for diagnosis and assessment of disc derangement disorders
A method and system for assessing disc derangement disorders (DDD) in patients comprises an image scanning module, a DDD screening system and a diagnosis and assessment module. The DDD screening system is in communication with the image scanning module via a network. The DDD screening system includes an application server residing on a computer having a processor installed with a disc derangement disorders (DDD) screening application and coupled with a memory unit integrated with a central database. The DDD screening application provides a set of statistical probability data of the at least one image utilizing a normalized measurement of at least one image to a diagnosis and assessment module. The diagnosis and assessment module generates a report that allows the DDD system to evaluate the presence or absence of DDD based on the statistical probabilities.
