DENTAL ARCH WIDTH MEASUREMENT TOOL
Systems and methods for rapidly and reliably determining an arch width of a patient's dental arch. A three-dimensional (3D) model of a patient's teeth, including a target tooth, can be received. Dental features from the 3D model may be extracted. The dental features may include a point of intersection between an occlusal surface of a tooth and a long axis of the tooth. An arch width between the target tooth and an opposing tooth may be determined based on the extracted dental features.
Method and apparatus for imaging a jaw region
The disclosure relates to a technique for providing an image of diagnostically relevant area of a jaw region of a patient by means of a magnetic resonance apparatus by capturing information about the jaw region of the patient, which comprises at least one reference to a position and/or an extent of the diagnostically relevant area of the jaw region. The technique also includes adjusting a parameter of a magnetic resonance measurement as a function of the captured information about the jaw region of the patient, carrying out the magnetic resonance measurement with the adjusted parameter, capturing image data of the jaw region of the patient, reconstructing an image of the diagnostically relevant area of the jaw region as a function of the captured image data, and providing the image of the diagnostically relevant area of the jaw region of the patient.
DENTAL COIL FOR A MAGNETIC RESONANCE SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a dental coil comprising a transmitter unit including an antenna, a receiver unit with an array of antennas, and a carrier element to be positioned in use on the jaw region of the patient and to follow at least part of the outer shape of the jaw region of the patient, wherein the carrier element is moreover designed to hold the array of antennas of the receiver unit in a predetermined relative position with respect to the jaw region of the patient, such that the array of antennas of the receiver unit borders the outer shape of the jaw region in the predetermined relative position. The disclosure further relates to a magnetic resonance system having a magnetic resonance apparatus and a dental coil, wherein the magnetic resonance apparatus is designed to detect magnetic resonance signals from a jaw region of the patient via the dental coil.
Multifunctional oral prosthetic system
Various methods and systems are provided for multifunctional denture systems. In one example, among others, a multifunctional oral prosthetic system includes an oral prosthetic device that may be located in an oral cavity. The oral prosthetic device includes a plurality of sensors and an internal module in communication with the plurality of sensors. The internal module is configured to provide sensor data corresponding to at least one of the plurality of sensors to an external processing unit when located in an oral cavity.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OBTAINING CLEANER PHYSIOLOGICAL INFORMATION SIGNALS
An earpiece module includes a housing configured to be attached to an ear of a person, a first audio sensor within the housing configured to detect auscultatory sounds from an ear canal of the ear and generate a physiological information signal from the auscultatory sounds, and a second audio sensor within the housing and oriented in a direction towards an outside environment of the person. The second audio sensor is configured to detect sounds external to the person including voice sounds and footstep sounds, and to generate an environmental information signal from the external sounds. A processor is configured to receive the physiological information signal and the environmental information signal, process the external sounds in the physiological information signal and the environmental information signal to reduce the voice sounds and the footstep sounds from the physiological information signal and generate a cleaner physiological information signal.
TRACKING PIECES FOR TRACKING MOVEMENTS OF HARD TISSUE OF A JAW
The invention relates to tracking pieces (110) used in the context of tracking movements of hard tissue of a jaw. According to the invention, a tracking piece (110) to be used in such context is designed to be patient-specific by including in the design of the tracking piece (110) a surface model representing a part of a person's intraoral anatomy, which surface model is generated based on imaging results acquired by imaging the anatomy.
Tracking a dental movement
It is described an arrangement (230, 330, 430, 530) and a method for tracking a movement of an upper jaw (100) relative to a lower jaw (120), the arrangement comprising: a lower mounting structure (231) mountable relative to the lower jaw (120); at least one lower motion sensor system (233) mounted at the lower mounting structure; and at least one data transmission unit (127) adapted to transmit measurement data (245) from the lower motion sensor system to an analysis unit (239).
Measuring and/or characterizing feeding behavior
A feeding analysis system reviews collected feeding data and provides analysis of data regarding nutritive sucking, feeding, and related activity.
ACQUISITION KIT
An acquisition kit including: a mobile telephone; a mobile telephone holder including: a spacer opening via an oral aperture, intended to be inserted into the user's mouth, and via an acquisition aperture, and an adapter fastened to the spacer and defining, with the spacer, a chamber opening via the oral aperture and via an adapter aperture, the adapter including a base to which the mobile telephone is rigidly but removably attached in an acquisition position in which the objective lens of the mobile telephone has an at least partial view of the oral aperture, through the adapter aperture and the acquisition aperture. In the kit, the mobile telephone is clamped onto the base and the adapter includes a plate movably mounted on the base and on which the spacer is rigidly affixed.
