Fabric-based pressure sensor arrays including intersecting elongated conductive strips on opposite sides of a textile sheet

A fabric-based pressure sensor array includes: (1) a first layer including M elongated conductive strips coated thereon; (2) a second layer including N elongated conductive strips coated thereon, the M elongated conductive strips extending crosswise relative to the N elongated conductive strips to define M×N intersections; and (3) a unitary textile sheet extending between the first layer and the second layer so as to overlap the M×N intersections, the textile sheet having a variable resistivity in response to applied pressure so as to define M×N pressure sensors at locations corresponding to the M×N intersections.

POSTURE MEASUREMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD

A posture measurement apparatus and method is described. The posture measurement system includes a wearable sensor leader node comprising a UWB transceiver coupled to at least two antennas and one or more wearable sensor follower nodes each comprising a UWB transceiver coupled to one antenna. A first UWB signal is transmitted from the wearable sensor leader node to the one or more wearable follower sensor nodes. A second UWB signal is received by the wearable sensor leader node from each follower sensor node in response to receiving the first UWB signal. A time-of-flight value of a signal transmitted between the wearable leader sensor node and the wearable follower sensor node is determined from the first UWB signal and the second UWB signal. An angle of arrival value is determined from the second UWB signal. The body posture can be determined from the time-of-flight and angle-of-arrival value.

Systems and methods for estimating anatomic alignment between two or more bones are described herein. An example method can include registering an anatomic reference frame. Additionally, the method can include establishing a respective rotational relationship between each of one or more bones and an orientation sensor attached to each of the one or more bones. The method can also include receiving, from each of the orientation sensors, orientation information, and then calculating an orientation of a bone relative to the anatomic reference frame. The method can further include calculating, using the respective orientations of the bones relative to the anatomic reference frame, an anatomic alignment parameter between first and second bones.

Motion evaluation system, motion evaluation device, and motion evaluation method

To be capable of efficiently transmitting appropriate information on the motion improvement to a person in motion. A motion evaluation system includes a sensor unit, an information processing device, and an information presentation device. The information processing device includes a communication device, a storage device, and an arithmetic device. The arithmetic device acquires motion data acquired by observing a user through the use of a sensor via the communication device, checks the motion data against information about the correctness of motions in the reference information, determines a state of motion of the user, specifies a motion in a state to be improved as an improvement, check the motion data after the motion corresponding to the improvement against information about busy levels of the user to specify a busy level of the user, and outputs, as improvement suggestion information about the improvement, information with different contents at each of multiple times to an information presentation device based on the improvement and a rule predetermined according to each situation of the busy level.

The present invention provides an information acquisition device, comprising: a cushion for supporting a subject to be tested; a neck pillow for the subject to be tested to place his neck thereon; a fiber-optic sensor group for obtaining physical signs of the subject to be tested; and a signal acquisition module connected to the fiber-optic sensor group; wherein the signal acquisition module is wrapped in the neck pillow, the fiber-optic sensor group is placed in the cushion, and the neck pillow is connected with the cushion. In the present invention, by setting a neck pillow connected with the cushion so that the subject can adjust the body position independently without assistance to a preferred measurement position, and can complete information acquisition by himself. In addition, the signal acquisition module is placed in the neck pillow, so that the structure of the information acquisition device is more concise.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO DETECT RESPIRATORY DISEASES

Systems and methods for monitoring patients with respiratory diseases are described. A system may include a sensor circuit to sense a respiration signal and at least one hemodynamic signal. The system may detect a specified respiratory phase from the respiration signal, and generate from the hemodynamic signal one or more signal metrics that are correlative to at least one of a systolic blood pressure, a blood volume, or a cardiac dimension. The system may detect a restrictive or obstructive respiratory condition when the hemodynamic signal metric indicates hemodynamic deterioration during a specified respiratory phase. The system may additionally classify the detected restrictive or obstructive respiratory condition into one of two or more categories, and deliver a therapy based on the detection or the classification.
