SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR MUSCULOSKELETAL ERGONOMIC IMPROVEMENT
Systems, apparatus, and methods for musculoskeletal ergonomic improvement are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a performance analyzer to predict a musculoskeletal strain event for a portion of a body of a user based on strain sensor data collected via one or more strain sensors associated with the user and transmit, in response to the prediction of the strain event, an instruction including an alert to be output by the output device. The example apparatus includes an ergonomic form recommendation generator to transmit, in response to the prediction of the strain event, an instruction including an ergonomic form measure to be output by the output device.
Measurement device for measuring a load magnitude and a position of applied load to a curved surface
A system is disclosed herein for providing a kinetic assessment and preparation of a prosthetic joint comprising one or more prosthetic components. The system comprises a prosthetic component including sensors and circuitry configured to measure load, position of load on a curved surface, joint stability, range of motion, and impingement. In one embodiment, the system is for a ball and socket joint of a musculoskeletal system. The system further includes a computer having a display configured to graphical display quantitative measurement data to support rapid assimilation of the information. The kinetic assessment measures joint alignment under loading that will be similar to that of a final joint installation. The kinetic assessment can use trial or permanent prosthetic components. Furthermore, adjustments can be made to the applied load magnitude, position of load, and joint alignment by various means to fine-tune an installation.
SURGICAL SYSTEM FOR REVISION ORTHOPEDIC SURGICAL PROCEDURES
A surgical planning system for use in surgical procedures to repair an anatomy of interest includes a preplanning system to generate a virtual surgical plan and a mixed reality system that includes a visualization device wearable by a user to view the virtual surgical plan projected in a real environment. The virtual surgical plan includes a 3D virtual model of the anatomy of interest. When wearing the visualization device, the user can align the 3D virtual model with the real anatomy of interest, thereby achieving a registration between details of the virtual surgical plan and the real anatomy of interest. The registration enables a surgeon to implement the virtual surgical plan on the real anatomy of interest without the use of tracking markers.
Systems and methods for measurement of anatomic alignment
Systems and methods for estimating anatomic alignment between two or more bones are described herein. An example method can include registering an anatomic reference frame. Additionally, the method can include establishing a respective rotational relationship between each of one or more bones and an orientation sensor attached to each of the one or more bones. The method can also include receiving, from each of the orientation sensors, orientation information, and then calculating an orientation of a bone relative to the anatomic reference frame. The method can further include calculating, using the respective orientations of the bones relative to the anatomic reference frame, an anatomic alignment parameter between first and second bones.
Measurement system configured to support installation of a ball and socket joint and method therefor
In one embodiment, the system is for a cup and ball joint of a musculoskeletal system.
IMPROVEMENTS TO POSITIONAL FEEDBACK DEVICES
An apparatus comprising at least one sensor to detect the position and/or orientation of a body portion of a subject, the sensor in communication with a computing device to process sensor data and optionally a transmitter to transmit sensor data between the sensor and the computing device and/or one or more computing devices.
3D SHOULDER MOTION MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND SCAPULAR ANGLE LOCATOR
Examples of systems, devices, and methods as described in this disclosure include a shoulder motion measurement system comprising a mounting device comprising a receptacle configured to hold an electronic device at a fixed orientation relative to a scapula of a patient, wherein the mounting device comprises one or more structures configured for handling by a user when aligning the shoulder motion measurement system against the patient.
Shoulder Monitoring and Treatment System
A system and method is used to monitor, control, and/or provide feedback relative to one or more factors related to a patient's body, such as a shoulder, pursuant to a treatment process. The system monitors, controls, and/or provides feedback relative to shoulder factors including shoulder motion, shoulder muscle contraction, and external pressure on the shoulder.
Kinematic analysis based on MRI bone marrow signals
A method of a measuring kinematic parameter in a subject is provided. The method includes obtaining a first magnetic resonance (MR) image set of a bone marrow segment of the subject in a first position and obtaining a second MR image set of the bone marrow segment of the subject in a second position where the second position different from the first position. The method further includes registering the first image set with the second image set and measuring a kinematic parameter.
MOVEMENT MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for monitoring a range of motion of a joint are described. For example, in one embodiment, a first set of sensors may sense accelerations of a first body portion located on a first side of the joint and a second set of sensors may sense accelerations of the second body portion located on a second opposing side of the joint. The acceleration data may then be used to compute the relative motion of the first and second body portions to determine movement of the joint. This joint movement may then be used to determine one or more range of motion movement metrics which are output for viewing by a subject or medical practitioner.
