UNCONSCIOUSNESS ESTIMATION APPARATUS, UNCONSCIOUSNESS ESTIMATION METHOD AND PROGRAM
An aspect of the present invention is a loss-of-consciousness estimation apparatus including: a ventricular state estimation unit configured to estimate whether or not a ventricular state of an estimation target is normal in a predetermined repetition cycle, based on a cerebral blood flow correlation amount time series, which is a time series of an amount correlated with a cerebral blood flow rate of the estimation target; a measurement reliability estimation unit configured to estimate reliability of the cerebral blood flow correlation amount time series; and a loss-of-consciousness probability acquisition unit configured to, based on the reliability, the estimation result of the ventricular state estimation unit, and elapsed time after a probability acquisition start time, which is a time at which it is first determined by the ventricular state estimation unit that the ventricular state is not normal after an estimation start time, which is a time of starting the repetition cycle, acquire a loss-of-consciousness probability indicating a probability that the estimation target has already lost consciousness.
MULTI-FUNCTION WEARABLE MONITORING SYSTEM WITH SLEEP DISORDER WARNING
A wearable medical monitoring system is provided that includes a support structure worn by a patient, which also housing electrodes and sleep sensors for generating health data. The health data includes ECG data, respiration data, and sleep data, which are used to determine cardiac conditions and sleep disorders. Sleep disorder indexes are formulated with various combinations of sleep factors from the health data of the patient, correlating in time with particular periods of sleep by the patient. In comparing the sleep disorder indexes with respective sleep disorder indicators, potential sleep disorders may be discerned by the monitoring system. Sleep information about the sleep disorders and warnings may be transmitted by the monitoring system to health support entities.
Systems, apparatus, and methods for detection and monitoring of chronic sleep disorders
An apparatus for monitoring a sleep parameter of a user includes an adhesive pad configured to conform to a surface of the user and a flexible element coupled to the adhesive pad. The flexible element includes a conductive fabric, and exhibits a modified electrical property in response to an applied force. The apparatus also includes a power source electrically coupled to the flexible element, and an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the power source and the flexible conductive element. The electrical circuit is configured to detect, during use, a change in an electrical property of the flexible element.
Apparatus and method for diagnosing sleep quality
A method of distinguishing sleep period states that a person experiences during a sleep period, the method comprising: using a non-contact microphone to acquire a sleep sound signal representing sounds made by a person during sleep; segmenting the sleep sound signals into epochs; generating a sleep sound feature vector for each epoch; providing a first model that gives a probability that a given sleep period state experienced by the person in a given epoch exhibits a given sleep sound feature vector; providing a second model that gives a probability that a first sleep period state associated with a first epoch transitions to a second sleep period state associated with a subsequent second epoch; and processing the feature vectors using the first and second models to determine a sleep period state of the person from a plurality of possible sleep period states for each of the epochs.
Device for estimating drowsiness of a user based on image and environment information
A camera (26) takes an image of at least one user (U1, U2, U3). A room environment information sensor (13) senses room environment information relating to an environment of a room (r1) in which the at least one user (U1, U2, U3) is present. The estimator (66) estimates a drowsiness condition of the at least one user (U1, U2, U3) based on the image of the at least one user (U1, U2, U3) taken by the camera (26) and the room environment information sensed by the room environment information sensor (13).

The apparatus also includes a power source electrically coupled to the flexible element, and an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the power source and the flexible conductive element. The electrical circuit is configured to detect, during use, a change in an electrical property of the flexible element.
Preventing access to potentially hazardous environments
A method, computer system, and a computer program product for managing a plurality of electronic devices controlling access to one or more hazards in a physical environment. The present invention may include detecting a plurality of brain-wave patterns associated with a user. The present invention may then, in response to detecting motion of the user and the plurality of brain-wave patterns associated with the user matching a pattern, include operating at least one electronic device to disable access to a corresponding hazard. The present invention may further include operating the at least one electronic device to enable access to the corresponding hazard based on receiving input from the user to enable the at least one electronic device, wherein the input being received from the user is in response to prompting the user to correctly respond to a question previously answered by the user.
Weighted blanket with thermally regulated fluid
The present invention provides a weighted article for assisting sleep, wherein the weighted article includes heating and cooling means. The weighted article is perforated by a series of channels, which contribute to the weight of the weighted article and allow the passage of a fluid that is continuously pumped throughout the weighted article while the weighted article is in use. The weighted article is connected to a control unit including means to thermoelectrical heat or cool the fluid such that a user of the weighted article is able to increase or decrease their body temperature.
SLEEP DETECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Disclosed are a sleep detection method and an apparatus, an electronic device and a storage medium. The sleep detection method includes: collecting pressure information from a bed; detecting the pressure information collected within a continuous preset duration, and determining whether the pressure information includes a sleep parameter of a body sign from a sleeping human; and if the pressure information includes the parameter of the sleeping human body sign, turning on a sleep detection function to perform the sleep detection. The sleep detection method and the apparatus, the electronic device and the storage medium can be applied to an apparatus having a sleep detection function, such that the sleep detection function in the apparatus having the sleep detection function is automatically turned on without a manual operation of a user, thereby saving time and labor.
