20220331582 · 2022-10-20 · ·

The present disclosure relates to an acupoint stimulation device and an acupoint stimulation method using the same. The acupoint stimulation device includes: a power supply unit configured to supply power; a controller configured to generate an electrical stimulus signal applied to a skin of the subject; and an electrical stimulation unit including two or more electrodes configured to receive power from the power supply unit and to supply the stimulus signal to the acupoint area, wherein the electrodes are arranged in a state of being electrically insulated from each other and are in electrical contact with the skin of the subject. Thereby, it is possible to provide an appropriate amount of stimulation required for treatment and symptom relief by providing stimulation to an accurate acupoint position.

CONFIGURABLE WAKE UP ALARM USING PHYSIOLOGICAL MONITORING

A controllable window of time is provided for waking a user from sleep. A system uses this window to variably control the acquisition of physiological data from a device such as a wearable monitor, such as by initiating data acquisition at the beginning of the window, and the acquired data can be used in turn to control when, during the window, an active alarm to the user might be provided. Using this technique, data acquisition from a physiological monitoring device or the like can be increased around the onset of the window to more accurately calculate a suitable waking time for the user within the window. This advantageously avoids the need for continuous, high-frequency data communications during long intervals of sleep, and focuses data transmission, related communications, and computing resources on those intervals when up-to-date data might be most useful for optimizing the user's wake up experience.

Method For Recognizing Abnormal Sleep Audio Clip, Electronic Device

A method for recognizing an abnormal sleep audio clip, includes: obtaining a plurality of initial audio clips collected by a sensor, and determining a target audio clip matching a preset sleep state from the initial audio clips; determining first snore information before the target audio clip and second snore information after the target audio clip based on the initial audio clips; determining a confidence value for the target audio clip based on the first snore information and the second snore information; and determining whether the target audio clip is the abnormal sleep audio clip based on the confidence value of the target audio clip.

Sleep study system and method

A sleep study system comprises a set of sensors for monitoring physiological parameters of a subject during sleep as part of a sleep study and for monitoring the sleep stage of the subject. It is determined if intervention to the subject is needed for maintenance or repair to the sleep study system. If so, a time to perform the intervention is also derived based on the sleep stage of the subject, in particular so as to be least disruptive to the subject.

Smart pad and system thereof

The invention provides a smart pad for detecting a physiological state and movement, together or individually, of a user. The smart pad comprises: a sensing portion, having a plurality of sub-sensing portions, wherein the plurality of sub-sensing portions are respectively separated from each other by a plurality of partitions; a channel portion, communicating with one opening of each of the plurality of sub-sensing portions; and a collection portion, communicating with the plurality of sub-sensing portions through the channel region. The physiological state and movement, together or individually, is determined according to a fluid status change in the plurality of sub-sensing portions delivered to the collection portion through the channel portion. The interior of the plurality of partitions is separated from the interiors of the sensing portion, channel region, and collection portion.

Apparatus and method for diagnosing sleep quality

A method of distinguishing sleep period states that a person experiences during a sleep period, the method comprising: using a non-contact microphone to acquire a sleep sound signal representing sounds made by a person during sleep; segmenting the sleep sound signals into epochs; generating a sleep sound feature vector for each epoch; providing a first model that gives a probability that a given sleep period state experienced by the person in a given epoch exhibits a given sleep sound feature vector; providing a second model that gives a probability that a first sleep period state associated with a first epoch transitions to a second sleep period state associated with a subsequent second epoch; and processing the feature vectors using the first and second models to determine a sleep period state of the person from a plurality of possible sleep period states for each of the epochs.

System for variably configurable, adaptable electrode arrays and effectuating software

Electrical non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) delivers weak electrical currents to the brain via electrodes that are affixed to the scalp. NIBS can excite or inhibit the brain in areas that are impacted by that electrical current during and for a short time following stimulation. Electrical NIBS can be used to change brain structure in terms of increasing white matter integrity as measured by diffusion tensor imaging. Together the electrical NIBS can induce changes in brain structure and function. The present methods and devices are adaptable to and configurable for facilitating the enhancement of brain performance, and the treatment of neurological diseases and tissues. The present methods and devices are advantageously designed to utilize modern electrodes deployed with, inter alia, various spatial arrangements, polarities, and current strengths to target brain areas or networks to thereby enhance performance or deliver therapeutic interventions.

Device for estimating drowsiness of a user based on image and environment information

A camera (26) takes an image of at least one user (U1, U2, U3). A room environment information sensor (13) senses room environment information relating to an environment of a room (r1) in which the at least one user (U1, U2, U3) is present. The estimator (66) estimates a drowsiness condition of the at least one user (U1, U2, U3) based on the image of the at least one user (U1, U2, U3) taken by the camera (26) and the room environment information sensed by the room environment information sensor (13).

Weighted blanket with thermally regulated fluid
11633053 · 2023-04-25 · ·

The present invention provides a weighted article for assisting sleep, wherein the weighted article includes heating and cooling means. The weighted article is perforated by a series of channels, which contribute to the weight of the weighted article and allow the passage of a fluid that is continuously pumped throughout the weighted article while the weighted article is in use. The weighted article is connected to a control unit including means to thermoelectrical heat or cool the fluid such that a user of the weighted article is able to increase or decrease their body temperature.

Secure Pairing of Devices Via Pairing Facilitator-Intermediary Device
20230118508 · 2023-04-20 ·

The present inventions, in one aspect, are directed to systems and circuitry for and/or methods of establishing communication having one or more pairing facilitator-intermediary devices (for example, a network connected server) to enable or facilitate pairing and/or registering at least two devices (e.g., (i) a portable biometric monitoring device and (ii) a smartphone, laptop and/or tablet) to, for example, recognize, interact and/or enable interoperability between such devices. The pairing facilitator-intermediary device may responsively communicates information to one or more of the devices (to be paired or registered) which, in response, enable or facilitate such devices to pair or register. The present inventions may be advantageous where one or both of the devices to be paired or registered is/are not configured (e.g., include a user interface or certain communication circuitry that is configured or includes functionality) to pair devices without use of a facilitator-intermediary device.
