CONFIGURING APPLICATIONS BASED ON A USER'S WAKEFULNESS STATE
Techniques for configuring one or more applications based on a detected wakefulness state of a user are disclosed. A system trains and applies a machine learning model to wakefulness data to compute a wakefulness state of a user. The system obtains the wakefulness data from wearable devices worn by the user and environmental devices in a user's environment. The system configures applications and/or devices based on the computed wakefulness state of the user. The system configures the ability of devices or applications to generate visual, audible, or tactile notifications in response to determining that a user is awake or asleep.
WEARABLE RING-TYPE SENSOR DEVICES FOR MONITORING HEALTH AND WELLNESS CONDITIONS
A ring-type wearable device is provided for sensing biometric data associated with various physiological conditions of the user. In one embodiment, a ring apparatus comprises a ring body including an opening formed therethrough structured to receive a body portion of a user therein when worn by the user; and an electronic computer processor programmed for processing one or more signals detected by the apparatus and associated with one or more biometrics associated with a physiological condition of the user into processed data. A light sensor system connected to the ring body includes multiple light-emitting diodes (LEDs), wherein each LED is associated with a predetermined light wavelength range, a first photodetector configured for light detection in a reflection mode, and a second photodetector configured for light detection in a transmission mode, each for detecting at least a portion of the light originating from the multiple LEDs.

According to one embodiment, an apparatus comprising a portable monitoring device to be affixed to a user. The portable monitoring device including: 1) a set of one or more sensors to generate sensor data indicative of physical activity of a user when the portable monitoring device is affixed to the user; and 2) processing circuitry coupled with the set of sensors, to detect that the user has been sedentary for a period of time, and cause the portable monitoring device to alert the user responsive to the detection to encourage the user to move.

The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for providing mandibular advancement and sleep positional therapy to a user for a sleep session. The system is formed by a mandibular advancement device for treating obstructive sleep disordered breathing (e.g., obstructive sleep apnea and snoring) that includes an electronics module configured to aid in sleep positional training. The present system and method facilitate advancing a lower jaw of the user into a protruding position relative to an upper jaw of the user to increase a size of an airway of the user, determining whether a posture of the user has breached a posture threshold, and, responsive to a breach, prompting the user to change posture such that the posture of the user no longer breaches the posture threshold.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMOTING A SLEEP STAGE OF A USER
System and methods are disclosed that promote a sleep stage of a user. The systems and methods determine a current sleep stage of a user during a sleep session, with the user using a respiratory therapy system during the sleep session. The systems and methods further predict an undesired sleep stage upcoming for the user during the sleep session based, at least in part, on (i) one or more user parameters, information from one or more previous sleep sessions, or a combination thereof, and (ii) the current sleep stage. The systems and methods adjust one or more control parameters of the respiratory therapy system, of one or more devices in an environment of the user, or of a combination thereof to promote a desired sleep stage of the user, thereby optimizing sleep of the user.

DROWSINESS WARNING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A drowsiness warning system is disclosed. Specifically, the drowsiness warning system includes a first sensor unit configured to be mountable on any one of upper eyelids or lower eyelids of a subject being examined under treatment by using treatment equipment, a second sensor unit configured to be mountable on the other one of the upper eyelids or the lower eyelids of the subject being examined, an output unit configured to generate a drowsiness preventing signal for preventing drowsiness of the subject being examined, and
a control unit configured to determine a drowsy state of the subject being examined, based on a distance between the first sensor unit and the second sensor unit, wherein, when the distance is maintained for a predetermined time or more in a state of being shorter than a predetermined distance, the control unit is further configured to determine that the subject being examined is in the drowsy state, and control the output unit to transmit a drowsiness preventing signal to the subject being examined.
