SYSTEM AND METHOD TO ENHANCE IN-FLIGHT CONTROLLED REST FOR FLIGHT CREW
In one embodiment, a system to enhance in-flight controlled rest for a flight crew includes a pilot user interface, a co-pilot user interface, and a flight crew monitoring system. The flight crew monitoring system is configured to: (i) determine a physiological state of both a pilot and a co-pilot, (ii) selectively generate one or more alerts for the pilot and/or the co-pilot based on the determined physiological state, (iii) inhibit generating the one or more alerts for the pilot upon receipt of a first inhibit signal from the pilot user interface, (iv) inhibit generating the one or more alerts for the co-pilot upon receipt of a second inhibit signal from the co-pilot user interface, and (v) generate and store data indicating a time of day and a duration that the one or more alerts for the pilot or co-pilot, respectively, were inhibited.
DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS, DATA PROCESSING METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A data processing apparatus selects content to be provided as a stimulus. The data processing apparatus includes a selecting part that selects the first content to be provided to a user as a stimulus from a plurality of pieces of content, and an acquiring part that acquires sleep data indicating sleep quality of the user provided with the first content selected by the selecting part. The selecting part selects the second content having an attribute different from that of the first content on the basis of a relationship between an attribute of a stimulus that the first content provides to the user, and sleep quality indicated by sleep data.
Method For Recognizing Abnormal Sleep Audio Clip, Electronic Device
A method for recognizing an abnormal sleep audio clip, includes: obtaining a plurality of initial audio clips collected by a sensor, and determining a target audio clip matching a preset sleep state from the initial audio clips; determining first snore information before the target audio clip and second snore information after the target audio clip based on the initial audio clips; determining a confidence value for the target audio clip based on the first snore information and the second snore information; and determining whether the target audio clip is the abnormal sleep audio clip based on the confidence value of the target audio clip.
Systems, apparatus, and methods for detection and monitoring of chronic sleep disorders
An apparatus for monitoring a sleep parameter of a user includes an adhesive pad configured to conform to a surface of the user and a flexible element coupled to the adhesive pad. The flexible element includes a conductive fabric, and exhibits a modified electrical property in response to an applied force. The apparatus also includes a power source electrically coupled to the flexible element, and an electrical circuit electrically coupled to the power source and the flexible conductive element. The electrical circuit is configured to detect, during use, a change in an electrical property of the flexible element.
Method of analyzing, displaying, organizing and responding to vital signals
A system for monitoring vital signs includes: an imaging device for acquiring video image files of a living individual; a data analysis system including a processor and memory; a computer program running in the data analysis system to automatically analyze the video images, autonomously identify an area in the images where periodic movements associated with a selected vital sign may be detected and quantified; and, an interface that outputs an electrical signal corresponding to the waveform of the selected vital sign. The system may include a Graphical User Interface, which may display a visual graph of the waveform and a single video frame or a video stream of the individual.
Apparatus and method for diagnosing sleep quality
A method of distinguishing sleep period states that a person experiences during a sleep period, the method comprising: using a non-contact microphone to acquire a sleep sound signal representing sounds made by a person during sleep; segmenting the sleep sound signals into epochs; generating a sleep sound feature vector for each epoch; providing a first model that gives a probability that a given sleep period state experienced by the person in a given epoch exhibits a given sleep sound feature vector; providing a second model that gives a probability that a first sleep period state associated with a first epoch transitions to a second sleep period state associated with a subsequent second epoch; and processing the feature vectors using the first and second models to determine a sleep period state of the person from a plurality of possible sleep period states for each of the epochs.
Traumatic nightmare detection and intervention
The present disclosure, in one embodiment, is a computer-implemented method for the detection of and intervention in traumatic nightmares. In one embodiment, a user wears a watch wirelessly connected to a phone. The watch may include an accelerometer, gyroscope, and heartrate monitor. The application may monitor these sensors and intervene with haptic feedback if the application detects a traumatic nightmare. In one embodiment, the application may include a monitoring module that collects data from the watch's accelerometer, gyroscope, and heartrate sensors. The application may then estimate and record stress levels based on these sensors. The application may also include an intervention module that responds to high stress levels with haptic feedback that increases in intensity of previous efforts to intervene were unsuccessful.
Weighted blanket with thermally regulated fluid
The present invention provides a weighted article for assisting sleep, wherein the weighted article includes heating and cooling means. The weighted article is perforated by a series of channels, which contribute to the weight of the weighted article and allow the passage of a fluid that is continuously pumped throughout the weighted article while the weighted article is in use. The weighted article is connected to a control unit including means to thermoelectrical heat or cool the fluid such that a user of the weighted article is able to increase or decrease their body temperature.
System and method for measuring infant weight
An infant sleep device may include a platform for supporting an infant, a base upon which the platform is supported, and one or more weight sensors positioned to measure weight of an infant positioned on the platform.
