SENSORS AND A METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF CHARACTERISTICS OF HUMAN JOINTS AND FOR DIAGNOSIS OF JOINT AILMENTS
A method of conducting a procedure for a diagnosis of a portion of a patient's human musculoskeletal system, the method comprising a remediation recommendation method comprising the steps of: obtaining patient demographics, applying sensors above and below the joint, and then taking an image of the joint using a mobile device. Next, analyzing the image to determine bone centerlines, then instructing patient via a mobile device to perform a task involving assuming certain positions and performing certain movements, then the patient performing the task while the sensors record data about joint location and movement information. Next, using the data, image analysis and patent demographics to make a recommendation regarding joint ailment remediation.
SYSTEM FOR INCREASING A PATIENT'S COMPLIANCE WITH A THERAPY RELATING TO AN UPPER AIRWAY DISORDER
A device and method for increasing a patient's compliance with a therapy relating to an upper airway disorder are presented. The device comprises a receiving unit for receiving for receiving vital sign data including glucose level data of the patient, and therapy data including information regarding the therapy of the patient; a processing unit configured to process the therapy data and the vital sign data in order to determine feedback information based on the therapy data and the vital sign data; and a display unit for displaying the feedback information based on the therapy data and the vital sign data.
Wearable device assembly having athletic functionality and milestone tracking
Various types of technology have been incorporated into fitness and other athletic activities. Systems and methods described herein relate to determining activity milestones based on collected user activity data. The user activity data may be collected during an activity time period. User activity information may be displayed via an interactive interface and associated with the activity time period.
Systems and methods for individual identification and authorization utilizing conformable electronics
An identification device includes, but is not limited to, a deformable substrate configured to conform to a skin surface of a body portion of an individual subject; a sensor assembly coupled to the deformable substrate, the sensor assembly including one or more identity sensors configured to generate one or more identity sense signals associated with at least one physical characteristic of the individual subject; circuitry configured to compare the one or more identity sense signals generated by the sensor assembly to reference data indicative of one or more physical characteristics associated with an identity; circuitry configured to compare at least one of the one or more identity sense signals or the identity with one or more authorization parameters; and a reporter operably coupled to the circuitry and configured to generate one or more communication signals associated with the comparison with the one or more authorization parameters.
PERSONAL MONITORING SYSTEM
A system includes a processor; a cellular, WiFi, or Bluetooth transceiver coupled to the processor; an accelerometer or a motion sensor coupled to the processor; and a sensor coupled to the processor to sense mood, wherein text, image, sound, or video is rendered in response to the sensed mood.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO GATHER AND ANALYZE ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC DATA
Example devices are disclosed herein that include a first elongated band coupled to a first housing to be located on a first side of a head of a subject and a second housing to be located near a second side of the head of the subject, the first elongated band comprising a first set of electrodes. The example device also includes a second elongated band coupled to the first housing and to the second housing, the second elongated band comprising a second set of electrodes. In addition, the device includes a third elongated band coupled to the first housing and to the second housing, the third elongated band comprising a third set of electrodes.
Labor management methods for decreasing the duration of second stage labor
The present disclosure provides methods for decreasing the duration of second stage labor by managing the labor process. In one aspect, a tactile feedback device is positioned adjacent the perianal tissues. A mother's labor is monitored for the progression of the baby along the birth canal and adjustments are performed in response to the progression of labor to promote a vaginal childbirth. A perianal support device includes a perianal support member having a pressure surface configured for engagement with tissue adjacent an anal orifice and a pressure detecting system associated with the perianal support member to detect pressure indicative of pressure on the perianal tissue of a patient.
WEARABLE SHOULDER COIL
Provided is a wearable shoulder coil including a signal receiving device and a signal transmitting device. The signal receiving device includes a flexible coil array that forms an examination space for accommodating an examined region. The signal transmitting device is provided with a processing unit to process signals, and is connected with the signal receiving device. The coil array may receive a first signal and transmit the first signal to the processing unit. The signal transmitting device may generate a second signal from the first signal and output the second signal.
G-LOC WARNING METHOD AND SYSTEM USING G-LOC WARNING ALGORITHM
The present invention relates generally to a method for preventing gravity-induced loss of consciousness (G-LOC), which arises from increased acceleration during flight, and more particularly, to a G-LOC warning method and system using a G-LOC warning algorithm, which detects, in advance, risk factors that cause a G-LOC state by monitoring a change in the electromyogram (EMG) signal in real time. According to the G-LOC warning method and system using the G-LOC warning algorithm of the present invention, because information about the EMG signal is measured and collected in real time, changes in the EMG signal of a pilot who is exposed to high levels of acceleration during a flight maneuver are measured and checked on the spot.
Wearable Device Assembly Having Athletic Functionality
An activity monitoring device may provide data indicating one or more activities performed by a user. The wearable device may send the data to another computing device. An interface may be used to display the data. One or more display characteristics associated with the interface may be determined based on a location of the activity monitoring device.
