AUTOMATED CONDITION SCREENING AND DETECTION
Embodiments are disclosed that enable an electronic device to instruct as user how to user one or more noninvasive sensors to measure one or more physiological parameters of a patient. In one embodiment, the measured parameters are used to obtain a diagnosis, such as a diagnosis of a critical congenital heart defect.
Method for detecting blockage in a fluid flow vessel
A method for measuring sound from vortices in the carotid artery comprising: a first and second quality control provisions, wherein the quality control compares detected sounds to pre-determined sounds, and upon confirmation of the quality control procedures, detecting sounds generated by the heart and sounds from vortices in the carotid artery for at least 30 seconds. A method for determining stenosis of the carotid artery in a human patient consisting of a first step of placing a sensing device comprising an array and three sensing elements onto the patient, wherein a first sensing element is placed near the heart and the two remaining sensing elements are placed adjacent to the carotid arteries; the sensing elements then measure sounds from each of the three sensing elements, resulting in sound from three channels. The sound is measured in analog and modified to digital format and then each of the three channels are analyzed before a power spectral density analysis is performed. The power spectral density graph reveals peaks that are not due to noise, that are then analyzed to provide for a calculation of percent stenosis or complete occlusion of the carotid artery.
Continuous transdermal monitoring system and method
Various embodiments of methods and systems for continuous transdermal monitoring (“CTM”) are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment of a continuous transdermal monitoring system comprises a sensor package. The sensor package may include a pulse oximetry sensor having a plurality of light detectors arranged as an array. One exemplary method for continuous transdermal monitoring begins by positioning a pulse oximetry sensor system, similar to the system described immediately above, adjacent to a target tissue segment. Then, the method continues by detecting a light reflected by the target tissue segment. Then, the method continues by transmitting a pulse oximetry reading(s), based at least in part on the light reflected by the target tissue segment, of the target tissue segment. Then, the method continues by analyzing the pulse oximetry reading(s). Then, the method continues by assessing the accuracy of the pulse oximetry reading from the first light detector relative to the pulse oximetry reading from the second light detector.
Arrangement and method for carrying out electrode measurements
An arrangement is disclosed for carrying out electrode measurements on the surface of the skin of a patient's head for recording the electrical activity of the brain, the arrangement including a matrix electrode configuration, which includes a body part of non-conductive material conforming to the contours of the surface of the skin. The arrangement includes electrodes for producing the measurement data connected to the body part, means for transmitting the measurement data connected to the body part, and a measurement data unit for receiving the measurement data transmitted by the means for further processing of the measurement data. The body part can include an electrode placement configuration for maintaining the mutual placements of the electrodes with respect to one another and an active attachment surface located between the electrodes and the surface of the skin to produce measurement data.
Reverse battery protection device and operating method thereof
A wearable device includes: a touch screen; an acceleration sensor configured to generate an acceleration signal; an optical sensor using a light source and configured to generate a touch interrupt signal; and a control unit configured to detect a wearing state of the wearable device, the wearing state of the wearable device including a not-wearing state for the wearable device, a wrist wearing state, and a hand gripping state on the basis of the acceleration signal and the touch interrupt signal, and to execute a function corresponding to the wearing state of the wearable device.
Method and System for Automated Personal Training that Includes Training Programs
Systems and methods for creating personalized exercise programs are disclosed. An image capture device and a computer device are used to capture images of a user while the user performs athletic movements. The images may then be evaluated to create a human movement screen score. The human movement screen score, goal and time commitment information may then be used to create a personalized exercise program tailored to the specific user.
System and method of monitoring association between wireless sensors and a monitored patient
Systems and methods of wireless sensing of physiological data includes obtaining physiological data from a patient with a wireless sensor. A patient location device determines a location of the patient. A location of the wireless sensor is obtained. The physiological data from the wireless sensor is associated to the patient based upon a determined proximity of the location of the wireless sensor to the location of the patient.
Advanced electronic instrumentation for electrical impedance myography
Embodiments of devices and methods for evaluating tissue are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for measuring a characteristic of a tissue may include passing a current through the tissue, measuring a signal corresponding to the voltage resulting from passing the current through the tissue, analyzing current passed through the tissue and resulting voltage to determine the electrical characteristics of the tissue; and analyzing the electrical characteristics of the tissue to determine a status of the tissue. Disposable sensors are disclosed.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
The present technology relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program capable of facilitating fixed-point observation on skin condition. The information processing device according to an aspect of the present technology acquires an image that shows a predetermined feature point of a user who is a measurer of skin condition, and a measurement portion of skin condition, and analyzes the image, and then recognizes a position of the feature point. Furthermore, information indicating the measurement portion is displayed at a predetermined position on the image while setting, as a reference, the recognized position of the feature point. The present technology is applicable to information processing devices such as a tablet terminal, a smartphone, and a personal computer.
MEASURING MYOCARDIAL PHYSIOLOGIC PARAMETERS
A method for measuring a myocardial physiologic parameter according to an embodiment includes placing an at least partially convex portion of a spectral sensor against an intercostal space of a human over a heart of the human and measuring the physiologic parameter of a myocardium of the heart with the spectral sensor over time during an emergency medical event. The spectral sensor may be configured to determine and visually display a suggested position adjustment for directing the spectral radiation more directly toward the tissue of interest (e.g. the myocardium), and/or for placing the operative elements of the spectral sensor closer to the tissue of interest (e.g. the myocardium).
