An allergen exposure system includes a mixing chamber, delimited by walls and distinct from the air inlet duct and from the exposure room in which the patients are situated. A mixing between a stream of allergen particles from an allergen injection device and a flow of air devoid of allergens which has passed through a filtration device, occurs through a phenomenon of microturbulence in this mixing chamber which forms a widening with respect to the air inlet duct and makes it possible to obtain a flow of air laden with allergen particles which is injected into the exposure room through at least one diffusion outlet so that it can be inhaled by the patients. This invention is of benefit to medical and pharmaceutical research in the field of allergy study.

Detecting anomalous behaviors within aircraft context

A pilot may be more stressed during take-off or landing, which is not abnormal. Physiological data of the pilot may be received. Placing the physiological data in context of the current situation may be advantageous in detecting anomalous behaviors of the pilot. A system and method are described. The system and method receive a stream of images from a camera and detect whether the pilot is exhibiting anomalous behavior. The anomalous behavior is further put into context based on the flight state and various avionics information.

Sensing an environment by confining a monitored live subject in an enclosure, detecting an effect on a coaxial piezoelectric cable resulting from the monitored live subject, wherein the coaxial piezoelectric cable is located at least proximate to the enclosure, and deriving information about a state of the monitored live subject based on the detected effect.

Vertigo diagnosis and treatment system

Disclosed is a vertigo diagnosis and treatment system including a frame, a revolution device, a rotation device and a seat, the frame comprising a primary frame and a secondary frame arranged oppositely. The revolution device includes a power mechanism and a slewing frame. The slewing frame is arranged between the primary frame and the secondary frame. The primary frame and the secondary frame provide slewing support for the slewing frame. The rotation device includes a power mechanism and a seat rotating frame. The vertigo diagnosis and treatment system further includes a seat biasing mechanism. Under the combined action of the revolution device and the rotation device, the vertigo diagnosis and treatment system according to the present invention can realize three-dimensional free rotation and hovering in any position, thus achieving vertigo diagnosis and treatment.

Systems and methods for optical medical instrument patient measurements

Presented are systems and methods for the accurate acquisition of medical measurement data of a body part of patient. To assist in acquiring accurate medical measurement data, an automated diagnostic and treatment system provides instructions to the patient to allow the patient to precisely position a medical instrument in proximity to a target spot of a body part of patient. Based on a series of images acquired from a kiosk camera and an instrument camera, these instructions are generated. Subsequent images from instrument camera are analyzed by automated diagnostic and treatment system utilizing a database and deep convolution neural network (DCNN) to obtain measured medical data. An error threshold measurement by the automated diagnostic and treatment system may determine the accuracy of the instrument positioning and the medical measured data. The measured medical data may be communicated to a physician.

Exercise apparatus simulating mild to high altitude environments

A personal physical conditioning system, for a single, full-size human subject, has a sealable chamber that is configured to allow entry therein and occupancy thereof by the entirety of the single, full-size human subject and to allow the subject to exercise in a standing position using an item of physical conditioning equipment entirely contained within the sealable chamber. The system also has a ventilation system, including a pump, operable to change air in the sealable chamber and to establish, within the sealable chamber, a desired non-zero air pressure level of less than 1 atmosphere and down to pressure conditions substantially equivalent to an elevation of 25,000 feet above sea level. Related methods are also provided.
