A load detector for detecting a load of a subject on a bed (BD) having a caster (CT) includes: a plate portion (1) which is one-fold and which is to be supported above an installation surface (F), on which the load detector is installed, separately from the installation surface; and a slope portion (SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4) which is provided around the plate portion and which is inclined relative to a surface of the plate portion so as to extend between the surface of the plate portion and the installation surface. The plate portion includes: a peripheral part (13); a placing part (11) on which the caster is to be placed, and which is provided inside relative to the peripheral part separately from the peripheral part; and a linking part (12) which links the placing part and the peripheral part. The load detector further includes a strain sensor (G) attached to the linking part, and the slope portion includes at least two pairs of slopes (SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4) each including a pair of slopes opposed to each other such that the placing part is interposed between the pair of slopes.

Automated Urinary Output Monitoring System
20230083906 · 2023-03-16 ·

Disclosed herein is an automated urinary output monitoring system including urine collection assembly that includes a first drainage tube coupled between a urinary catheter and an interim container, and a second drainage coupled between the interim container and a final container. A scale measures the weight of urine collected in the final container and a display depicts the volume of urine collected in the final container. A vacuum pump can be coupled with the final container to draw urine from the interim container into the final container, and an air vent can isolate the patient from the vacuum within the final container. The system can be configured to wirelessly transmit urine volume data to an external computing device. A gyroscope can be coupled with the scale to determine the orientation of the scale. Logic of the system can calculate urine volume and correlate with the time of day.

PATIENT MOBILITY CLASSIFICATION

A patient support apparatus comprises a plurality of load cells, a frame supported on the load cells, a mattress, a plurality of air pressure sensors, and a control system. The mattress includes a plurality of inflatable zones positioned on the frame, the mattress and frame cooperating to direct any patient load through the mattress and frame to the load cells. Each of the plurality of air pressure sensors measures the pressure in a respective inflatable zone of the mattress. The control system includes a controller operable to receive a separate signal from each of the plurality of load cells and each of the plurality of air pressure sensors and process the signals to identify motion of the patient. A motion classifier assesses major and minor motions based on the amplitude and frequency of patient movement and determines a mobility score for the patient.

Multidimensional Multivariate Multiple Sensor System

Devices and methods for determining item-specific information for single or multiple items on one or multiple substrates are described. The method includes generating multiple sensor multiple dimensions array (MSMDA) data from multiple sensors, where each of the multiple sensors capture sensor data for one or more items in relation to a substrate. For each item, the method includes determining relationships between the multiple sensors based on characteristics of the MSMDA data, determining a location of the item on the substrate based on at least the determined relationships between the multiple sensors, determining an angular orientation of the item on the substrate based on at least the determined relationships between the multiple sensors, and determining a body position of the subject on the substrate based at least the determined relationships between the multiple sensors, the location of the subject, and the angular orientation of the item.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATING BEDSIDE INFECTION AUDITS USING MACHINE LEARNING

Obtainment of cleaned sequences relating to a center of gravity

Methods and systems are provided for obtaining cleaned sequences showing trajectories of movement of a center of gravity and for estimating a biometric information pattern or value of a target. One of the methods includes removing noises from initial sequences showing trajectories of movement of a center of gravity to obtain the cleaned sequences. Another one of the methods includes reading cleaned sequences of the target into a memory, extracting features from the cleaned sequences, and estimating a biometric information pattern or value of the target from the extracted features, using a classification or regression model of biometric information patterns or values. The biometric information pattern may be a pattern derived from respiratory or circulatory organs of a target.
