Identifying an attribute of an electromagnetic source configuration by matching simulated and patient data
11622732 · 2023-04-11 · ·

Systems are provided for generating data representing electromagnetic states of a heart for medical, scientific, research, and/or engineering purposes. The systems generate the data based on source configurations such as dimensions of, and scar or fibrosis or pro-arrhythmic substrate location within, a heart and a computational model of the electromagnetic output of the heart. The systems may dynamically generate the source configurations to provide representative source configurations that may be found in a population. For each source configuration of the electromagnetic source, the systems run a simulation of the functioning of the heart to generate modeled electromagnetic output (e.g., an electromagnetic mesh for each simulation step with a voltage at each point of the electromagnetic mesh) for that source configuration. The systems may generate a cardiogram for each source configuration from the modeled electromagnetic output of that source configuration for use in predicting the source location of an arrhythmia.

A personal electronic device holder with a clamp is described. The clamp including a body having a U-shape, a first surface, and a second surface. The first surface and the second surface positionable to selectively clamp against a side rail of health care facility equipment. The holder also includes a structure for retaining and powering or providing data and power to a personal electronic device at the end of a positionable arm connected to the clamp.

Systems and methods for monitoring physiological parameters with capacitive sensing

A smart object may be used to monitor physiological parameters of a user. The object has at least one capacitive sensor to sense a change in capacitance when a tissue of the user comes into contact with the at least one capacitive sensor. The change in capacitance can be used to detect physiological parameters of a user such as heart rate, inter-beat interval and respiratory rate. The smart object may also be used with another smart object to determine the identity of the user or other physiological parameters of the user such as blood pressure.

Intelligent model based patient positioning system for magnetic resonance imaging

A subject support (14) is configured to dock with a medical imaging device (50) with a fixed spatial relationship between the docked subject support and the medical imaging device. A patient positioning device includes a range camera (10) that acquires a two-dimensional (2D) range image of a human imaging subject (12) disposed on a subject support (14). The range image has pixel values corresponding to distances from the range camera. An electronic processor (16) is programmed to perform a positioning method to determine a reference point on or in the human subject in a frame of reference (F.sub.S) of the subject support from the 2D range image. This reference point is translated to a frame of reference (F.sub.D) of the imaging device based on a priori known spatial relationship of the medical imaging device and the docked subject support. Using 3D models, the loading process may be simulated.

COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE AND COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM

A cognitive impairment diagnostic device includes: an obtainer that obtains a distribution map representing a distribution of gaze points of a subject on a movie for cognitive assessment; and a diagnoser. The movie for cognitive assessment includes, in time order: a first movie including a first region including an image for encoding displayed in a visually enhanced manner, and a plurality of second regions including normal images displayed without being enhanced; and an assessment movie including a third region including an assessment image similar to the image for encoding and displayed at a same position as the image for encoding without being visually enhanced, and the second regions. The diagnoser calculates, in a distribution map on the assessment movie, a percentage of fixation duration for which the third region is focused on, and makes diagnosis of suspected memory impairment when the percentage of fixation duration is lower than a threshold.

Device and method to determine objectively visual memory of images

Apparatus, system, and computer readable media determine the probability of visual recognition of an image by a subject using electroencephalography (EEG) corresponding to a Visual Evoked Potential (VEP). The apparatus comprises means for presenting a series of visual stimuli corresponding to said image to evoke EEG signals. The visual stimuli of the image are presented in an orientation sequence based on a timing cycle. At least one prism is provided for placement in front of the series of visual stimuli corresponding to said image. The EEG signals evoked in response to said visual stimuli and said prism placed in front of said visual stimuli are recorded and processed by a processor. VEP is generated corresponding to the presence of a shift and thereby provides object statistic reliability of the visual recognition of the image by the subject.

Wearer physical status indication using an electronically adjustable garment

From a first sensor in a set of sensors, a set of sensor measurements corresponding to a wearer of a garment is collected. Using a model and the set of sensor measurements, a performance deviation index corresponding to the wearer is determined, the performance deviation index corresponding to a deviation from a baseline performance level of the wearer. Responsive to the performance deviation index being above a threshold, a characteristic of the garment is altered.
