Tomography apparatus with integrated lighting
A tomography apparatus has a gantry with an exterior surface, and a tunnel-shaped opening proceeding through the gantry that defines an examination region, from which tomographic data are acquired from a patient in the opening. An illuminant is integrated into the gantry. The illuminant has a light exit window with a smooth transition to the exterior surface of the gantry.
Radiation detector and X-ray CT apparatus provided therewith
An X-ray detector and an X-ray CT apparatus that facilitate collimator plate arrangement are characterized by comprising radiation detection element arrays in which a plurality of radiation detection elements detecting a radiation generated from a radiation source are arranged in a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, collimator plates that are arranged along the first direction on the radiation source side of the radiation detection element arrays to remove scattered radiations, and collimator plate support members that have grooves supporting the collimator plate and are arranged along the second direction between the radiation detection elements.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTROLLING MEDICAL DEVICES
The present disclosure provides a method and system for controlling a medical device. The method for controlling the medical device may include: obtaining information related to the medical device and/or information related to a target object; controlling the medical device based on the information related to the medical device and/or the information related to the target object.
BREAST IMAGING APPARATUS
A breast imaging apparatus includes a radiation generation unit configured to generate radiation and a radiation detection unit configured to detect radiation irradiation from the radiation generation unit and can rotate the radiation generation unit and the radiation detection unit in a state in which they face each other. Imaging is performed in a state in which a body part (breast) of an object to be imaged is sandwiched by a pressing panel on a first side of the breast imaging apparatus. In addition, imaging is performed while rotating the radiation generation unit and the radiation detection unit in a state in which the body part (breast) of the object to be imaged is inserted between the radiation generation unit and the radiation detection unit from a second side opposite to the first side of the breast imaging apparatus.
Apparatus for digital imaging in the head region of a patient
An apparatus for Digital Imaging in the Head Region of a Patient includes an X-ray source and an X-ray sensor, supported on i a rotary arm supported on a structure by a motor driven translation and rotation means. The rotary arm is provided with adjustment means for varying the distance between the source and the sensor. The apparatus comprises a single sensor for both panoramic imaging and computed tomography, and has a control unit, that controls the source, the sensor, the adjustment means, and the translation and rotation means and operates the apparatus in a basic operation mode for bigger patients and in an alternative operation mode for smaller patients, in which the distance between the source and the sensor is reduced as compared to the distance used for the basic operation mode.
Bore based medical system comprising a camera carrier configured to be mounted in the bore-based medical systems and utilized for positioning and monitoring of patients during radiotherapy treatment
Disclosed is a bore based medical system comprising a camera carrier configured to be mounted in the bore based medical system and configured to monitor and/or track patient motion within said bore based medical system during radiotherapy, the bore based medical system comprising a rotatable ring-gantry configured to emit a radiotherapy beam focused at an iso-center of the bore based medical system, wherein the ring-gantry is configured to rotate at least partly around a through-going bore having a front side and a back side, configured to receive from said front side, a movable couch configured to be moved into and out from the through-going bore, wherein further the through-going bore comprises an inner side facing an inside of the bore, and wherein the camera carrier is configured to be mounted inside the bore in connection with the inner side of the through-going bore.
ELECTRONIC CALIBRATION OF FOCAL SPOT POSITION IN AN X-RAY TUBE
Technology is described for calibrating a deflected position of a central ray of an x-ray tube to a radiation imager. An x-ray system includes an x-ray tube and a tube control unit (TCU). The x-ray tube includes a cathode that includes an electron emitter configured to emit an electron beam, an anode configured to receive the electron beam and generate x-rays with a central ray from electrons of the electron beam colliding on a focal spot of the anode, and a steering magnetic multipole between the cathode and the anode that is configured to produce a steering magnetic field from a steering signal. At least two poles of the steering magnetic multipole are on opposite sides of the electron beam. The TCU includes at least one steering driver configured to generate the steering signal. The TCU is configured to convert a position correction value to the steering signal.
