Mechanical design considerations for table-mounted device used as a sub-assembly in a magnetic tracking system working in conjunction with an X-ray imaging system
A registration fixture is configured for use with a medical imaging system. The registration fixture comprises a rigid internal structure comprising a plurality of fiducial markers arranged in a predefined pattern. The registration fixture further comprises a housing configured to surround the rigid internal structure. The registration fixture is configured to be mounted on a patient table.
Mobile radiographic apparatus/methods with tomosynthesis capability
A mobile radiography apparatus has a moveable (e.g., wheeled) transport frame and an adjustable column mounted at the frame. A boom apparatus supported by the adjustable column can support an x-ray source assembly. Radiation or X-ray source assembly methods and/or apparatus embodiments can provide mobile radiography carts a capability to direct x-ray radiation towards a subject from one or a plurality of different source positions, where the X-ray source assembly includes a first x-ray power source and a second plurality of distributed x-ray sources disposed in a prescribed spatial relationship.
Radiographic System
A controller generates, based on a position of a marker in an X-ray image, an intermediate image in which a device inserted into a subject's body is displayed. After the generation of the intermediate image, the controller matches the marker of the X-ray image with a marker of the intermediate image based on the position of the marker in the X-ray image and a position of a marker in the intermediate image to align the X-ray image and the intermediate image with each other every time the X-ray image is newly generated. The controller then controls the display to display an overlaid image generated by overlaying the X-ray image and the intermediate image aligned with each other.
Image handling and display in X-ray mammography and tomosynthesis
A method and system for acquiring, processing, storing, and displaying x-ray mammograms Mp tomosynthesis images Tr representative of breast slices, and x-ray tomosynthesis projection images Tp taken at different angles to a breast, where the Tr images are reconstructed from Tp images.
X-RAY DIAGNOSIS APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, an X-ray diagnosis apparatus includes an X-ray tube, a diaphragm mechanism, an X-ray detector, image generating circuitry, a display, a first interface, a second interface, and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry controls the diaphragm mechanism and the X-ray tube according to the operation to the first interface so that the X-rays are radiated to a first radiation range, and controls the diaphragm mechanism and the X-ray tube according to the operation to the second interface so that the X-rays are radiated to a second radiation range. The processing circuitry controls the display so that the first display area displays the X-ray images sequentially generated according to radiation of the X-rays, in parallel with the radiation.
Systems and methods for interleaving series of medical images
After selecting two or more image series for comparison, images of the image series are interleaved so that they are alternatively displayed in a comparison pane on a display device. In one embodiment, after one or more image series are selected for comparison, an interleaved image series is created containing each of the images of the one or more selected image series, or, alternatively, the interleaved image series comprises links to the images arranged in the interleaved pattern. If differences exist in the images of the multiple image series, these differences may be more easily detectable as the display device cycles between the images. Comparison of images in an interleaved image series may be more advantageous if the images of each selected image series are of a common anatomical area, common image size, and the images are in the same order.
Assigning different application programs of a medical imaging apparatus to detected display devices
A method is for operating a medical imaging system including at least two executable application programs. An embodiment includes: a) a computing device of the imaging system detecting at least one display device by its properties relevant to visual display; b) the computing device retrieving at least one particular application-specific requirement made of a display device, using the at least two application programs, for visual display of corresponding application program information on a display device; c) comparing the properties detected for each at least one display device and the retrieved requirement; and d) according to a result of the comparison, the computing device either assigning the application programs respectively to the at least one display device or activating an assignment facility for a user, to increase efficiency when operating the medical imaging system having the at least two executable application programs in a manner convenient to a user.
Medical user interfaces and related methods of use
A medical system for use in a lithotripsy procedure may include a processor configured to receive input from a first imaging device, wherein the first imaging device may be configured to send image data representative of an image captured in a lumen of a kidney, bladder, or ureter to the processor. The processor may be configured to display the image on a display device coupled to the processor, and analyze the image to sense the presence of an object within the image. If an object was sensed within the image, the processor may analyze the image to estimate a size of the object, and display the estimate on the display device.
C-ARM IMAGING SYSTEM HAVING COAXIAL INDEPENDENT ROTATION OF MONITORS
A C-arm X-ray imaging system is provided. The C-arm X-ray imaging system includes a base, an extension arm, a first monitor coupled to the base via a first end of the extension arm, a support, and a second monitor coupled to the base via the support. The first end of the extension arm and the support are vertically aligned and configured to rotate about a common rotational axis to enable independent rotation of the first and second monitors.
X-ray computed tomography imaging apparatus and display apparatus
According to one embodiment, an X-ray computed tomography imaging apparatus includes an X-ray source, an X-ray detector, a gantry, a column, and a display. The display configured to display, on the floor surface, a graphic corresponding to one of a range in which a field of view formed by the X-ray source and the X-ray detector is projected onto the floor surface from a vertical direction of the gantry and a range in which an outer edge of the bore is projected onto the floor surface from the vertical direction of the gantry.
