ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, AND PROCESSOR FOR ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS
An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus (1) includes a frame thinning-out unit (8), a urinary bladder extraction unit (9), a feature quantity calculation unit (10), a candidate frame extraction unit (11), and a urine volume measurement unit (13). The frame thinning-out unit thins out ultrasound images of some frames from ultrasound images of a first frame group to form a second frame group of ultrasound images, the second frame group being constituted by a smaller number of frames than the first frame group of ultrasound images. The urinary bladder extraction unit extracts a urinary bladder region from each ultrasound image. The feature quantity calculation unit calculates a feature quantity of the urinary bladder region. The candidate frame extraction unit extracts, based on the feature quantity, an ultrasound image of at least one candidate frame from the ultrasound images of the second frame group. The urine volume measurement unit analyzes an ultrasound image of a measurement frame selected from the ultrasound image of the at least one candidate frame to measure a urine volume.
Ultrasound Detection System
Disclosed herein is an ultrasound imaging system configured to guide medical device insertion. The ultrasound imaging system includes an ultrasound probe having an ultrasound generation device configured to detect one or more anatomical targets within a target area, and one or more projectors configured to project one or more icons within the target area. The ultrasound imaging system can also include a console configured to generate the one or more icons. The console can be coupled to the ultrasound probe, and be in communication with each of the ultrasound generation device and the one or more projectors.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLINICAL DECISION SUPPORT FOR LIPID-LOWERING THERAPIES FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
Provided herein are methods and systems for making patient-specific therapy recommendations of a lipid-lowering therapy for patients with known or suspected cardiovascular disease, such as atherosclerosis.
Methods and apparatuses for measuring tissue stiffness changes using ultrasound elasticity imaging
A method of evaluating tissue stiffness of a target area includes positioning an ultrasound elasticity imaging apparatus adjacent a surface of an area of tissue where the target area is located and applying a dynamic range of force to the tissue. A plurality of ultrasound beams can be directed at the tissue and a plurality of ultrasound echoes can be acquired from the strained tissue in the target area to calculate an amount of developed strain within the target area.
Ultrasound system and method for detection of kidney stones using twinkling artifact
A method color Doppler imaging in accordance with some examples of the present disclosure includes transmitting with a probe of an ultrasound imaging system, ultrasound pulses towards a region of interest in a subject, receiving with the probe echoes responsive to the pulses, generating B-mode image data and Doppler signals based on the ultrasound echoes, filtering the Doppler signals, wherein the filtering includes rejecting lower intensity signals which have amplitudes below a threshold amplitude and passing higher intensity signals which have amplitudes above the threshold amplitude, generating color data based on the higher intensity signals, overlaying the color data with the B-mode image data to produce a color Doppler image, and displaying the color Doppler image in a kidney stone detection interface.
Enhanced ablation and visualization techniques for percutaneous surgical procedures
A medical instrument for enhancing diagnosis and treatment comprising a handle, an ablation probe extending from the handle, a catheter extending from the handle. The catheter defines a lumen and the ablation probe is located within the lumen of the catheter. A port in fluid communication with the lumen of the catheter is configured for connection to a vacuum or fluid source, and application of a vacuum or an injection of fluid creates a consistent zone of permittivity around the ablation probe.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR A MEASUREMENT TOOL FOR MEDICAL IMAGING
Methods and systems are provided for evaluating a subject for a liver disease using ultrasound images. In one example, a method includes, in response to a request to evaluate the liver disease, determining, with a measurement model, that a selected medical image frame of the subject includes a target anatomical view and has an image quality above a threshold image quality, and in response, measuring, with the measurement model, a marker for the liver disease in the selected medical image, and outputting, for display on a display device, the measurement of the marker.
Medical image processing device, endoscope system, medical image processing method, and program
There are provided a medical image processing device, an endoscope system, a medical image processing method, and a program which detect an optimal lesion region according to an in-vivo position of a captured image. Images at a plurality of in-vivo positions of a subject are acquired from medical equipment that sequentially captures and displays in real time the images; positional information indicating the in-vivo position of the acquired image is acquired; from among a plurality of region-of-interest detection units that detect a region of interest from an input image and correspond to the plurality of in-vivo positions, respectively, a region-of-interest detection unit corresponding to the position indicated by the positional information is selected; and the selected region-of-interest detection unit detects a region of interest from the acquired image.
Enhanced catheter navigation methods and apparatus
Methods, apparatus, and systems are provided for facilitating the navigation of a catheter between first and second locations within a subject based on display of serial images corresponding to positions of the catheter at successive incremental times. Image production includes sensing catheter positions to produce location data for each time increment. For each position P.sub.i, the corresponding location data is processed to respectively produce an image I.sub.i reflecting the position of the catheter at a time T.sub.i. Each image I.sub.i is successively displayed at a time equal to T.sub.i+d, where d is an image processing visualization delay. Upon a condition that the catheter is displaced to a selected interim location between the first and second locations, the processing of the location data is switched from being performed by a first process associated with a first visualization delay to a second process associated with a second different visualization delay.
