The method also includes storing the set of resource requests, and receiving a resource configuration profile. A setpoint operating state is determined for each peripheral of the set of peripherals of the vehicle depending on the received set of resource requests and the received resource configuration profile. The method further includes controlling the set of peripherals depending on the specified setpoint operating state, such that an actual operating state of a respective peripheral of the set of peripherals corresponds to the specified setpoint operating state of the respective peripheral of the set of peripherals.
