Systems and methods for automated manufacture are provided. User input is received by way of user systems indicating nominal data measurements for an article. Automated material handling machines move parts within view of a machine vision system which performs an initial scan to identify features of said parts. Locations of areas for joining are determined by comparing the identified features to the nominal data measurements and the automated material handling machines move the parts into positions in accordance with the nominal data measurements to form the article. The automated material joining machines join the parts at said areas specified in said user input to form the article.

Method for automated repalletizing of packaged goods

The invention relates to a method for automated repalletizing of packaged goods, the method to be carried out with a conveyor table with devices for the omnidirectional movement of packaged goods from an original layer, formed by units of packaged goods to be reconfigured, to a target layer, formed by units of packaged goods, wherein the conveyor table has an area that is larger than the area that is occupied by an original layer of the units of packaged goods to be configured, having the following steps: providing an original layer of units of packaged goods on the conveyor table, automated separation of the units of packaged goods by the conveyor table such that maneuvering distances are created between at least two of the units of packaged goods, moving the units of packaged goods to a predetermined position of the target layer, and optionally completing and optionally compressing the target layer of units of packaged goods,
wherein at least more than one of the units of packaged goods of the target layer are on the conveyor table during the entire process, as well as a programmed data processing device for controlling a method and a data carrier or data sequence having control instructions for programming such data processing devices.

Factory configurable shock pallet for various integrated rack weights
09932144 · 2018-04-03 · ·

A configurable shock pallet accommodates different types of rack-mounted information handling systems (IHSes) having different weight profiles. A bottom structure has a pair of parallel apertures to receive forklift tines. A top deck receives a rack-mounted IHS of a selected weight profile for shipping. A horizontal array of pad locations is designated between the bottom structure and the top deck. Dampening inserts are assigned to respective pad locations of the horizontal array from dampening inserts of different densities. Attaching components secure the top deck to the bottom structure, separated by the dampening inserts to provide appropriate shock protection for the weight and weight distribution of the IHS. A shock pallet configuring system can receive a weight profile and indicate on an output interface the assigned pad configuration to manually or automatically assemble the configured shock pallet.

PALLETIZER SYSTEM WITH CENTRALIZED PALLETIZING PATTERNS

A palletizing system includes one or more palletizers. A database is configured to maintain a stacking pattern library containing multiple stacking patterns for the palletizers. A computer is operatively connected to the database. The computer is configured to automatically select a stacking pattern for a selected one of the palletizers. In other words, the computer is configured to change the stacking pattern of one of the palletizers without changing the other palletizers. The database is configured to maintain unique palletizer identifiers used for identifying individual palletizers to promote expandability.
