An undergarment, comprising an upper portion configured to cover a portion of an abdomen of a user, the upper portion comprising a front side, a back side, a top side, and a front side end, and a back side end, a lower portion configured to cover a genital region of the user, wherein the lower portion comprises a first end and a second end. The undergarment includes a first seam positioned between the front side end and the first end of the lower portion, the first seam configured to be disposed at or above the mons pubis of the user, and a second seam positioned between the back side end and the second end, the second seam configured to be disposed at or below the sacroiliac joint of the user, wherein the lower portion comprises a single-ply fabric panel, said single-ply fabric panel comprising a breathable fabric.

Articles of athletic garments, particularly sports bra and methods of treating the athletic garments with a shear thickening fluid (STF) are disclosed. The athletic garment comprises a STF treated fabric. The STF treated fabric in contact with the wearer's body part restricts movement of the body part when the shear stress exceeds the shear stress threshold value and stretches and conforms to the wearer's body part when the shear stress is less than the shear stress threshold value. The STF treatment method may include immersing the untreated fabric in a diluted STF bath, metering an amount of the fluid on the fabric, and removing the diluent from the treated fabric.

The present invention is a disposable garment for alleviating unpleasant scents and bodily waste when worn by users. Disposable undergarments such as diapers and other similar garments can be a challenge to use when the garment has been soiled. Various applications of specially designed layers of material can be an effective tool when odors and excretion are unbearable. A sock and/or outer footwear having one or more portions with reduced frictional characteristics. One or more of the heel portion, the arch portion and the ball portion of the sock and/or interior of the outer footwear is fabricated with one or more fibers having the reduced frictional characteristics. The reduced frictional characteristics are established with the one or more low-friction fibers that are integrated with fibers having additional complementary characteristics of thermal regulation and moisture management. The provision of reduced frictional characteristics in one or more of the heel, arch and ball facilitates insertion of a foot into footwear.

A clothing item that allows a user to display an erasable static message to an audience surrounding the wearer of the clothing item. The clothing item comprises or a shirt and a plastic sheet that is fixedly attached to the front of the shirt. The clothing item may further comprise of a cord that attaches to the shirt and an erasable marker that attaches to the cord. In still a further embodiment of the clothing item, a second strip of material can be attached to the shirt, the strip will allow a user of the shirt to erase the static message and replace it with another static message. The clothing item allows a user of the clothing item to deliver a static message to those around his or her immediate periphery. The clothing item can be used by people suffering from communication disorders to express themselves.

A textile laminate as described herein comprises a water vapor permeable outward facing protective membrane comprising an inner surface and an outer surface and a textile attached to the inner surface of the membrane, wherein the textile has a surface having a pattern of high regions and low regions. The outer surface of the membrane has a surface topography comprising a pattern of high and low regions that are dimensionally coordinated with a pattern of high and low regions on the surface of the textile.

Described herein is a footwear and an article for keeping a foot dry, and a related method. A footwear member may have an exterior surface defining an exterior of the footwear member, an internal surface defining an internal cavity sized to receive the foot and at least portions of the removable membrane, and a footwear size. The removable membrane may be made of a non-rigid, disposable, resilient material that is impermeable to water. The removable membrane may have a membrane exterior surface, a membrane interior surface, and a membrane size corresponding to the footwear size. The removable membrane configured to conform to a shape and a size of the foot. The method may include providing a footwear assembly including a footwear member and a removable membrane, placing the provided membrane over the foot, and positioning the removable membrane with the foot inserted therein within the boot.

A swaddling device is described. The swaddling device is Y-shaped pod shaped and configured to substantially enclose a baby. The device includes sleeves having at their ends foldover mitten cuffs or similar selectively openable fasteners. The cuffs allow a caregiver to expose the hand or hands of the baby so as to provide skin-to-skin contact. Alternatively, the caregiver can close the cuffs if scratching is a concern.
