THREADING DEVICES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE THEREOF
This disclosure enables various threading devices (e.g., suturing devices) that can sequentially send a plurality of carriers (e.g., needle caps, sleeves) to an object (e.g., animate, inanimate, human tissue, organ tissue, heart tissue) or sequentially receive a plurality of carriers (e.g., needle caps, sleeves) from an object (e.g., animate, inanimate, human tissue, organ tissue, heart tissue). For example, some threading devices can sequentially send some carriers in a relatively rapid succession or some threading devices can sequentially receive some carriers in a relatively rapid succession.
Method for suturing along path and apparatus thereof
An apparatus for suturing includes an inner strut, a spiral suturing needle, a driving mechanism, a recovery mechanism, a suture-taking-up mechanism, and a suture-feeding mechanism. Grooves are distributed on periphery with respect to an axial direction of the inner strut, a path of the groove is consistent with a path of a metallic stent to be sutured, and a width of the groove matches an outer diameter of the spiral suturing needle; the spiral suturing needle is an elastic retractable structure and a length of the spiral suturing needle without deformation is longer than a length of the path of the groove, and a suturing needle tip is arranged on a head portion of the spiral suturing needle and a suture-piercing hole is arranged on a tail portion of the spiral suturing needle.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE FIXATION DEVICES FOR FIXATING A FELTABLE TEXTILE, SETS COMPRISING A FIXATION DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR FIXATING A FELTABLE TEXTILE AT A TARGET SITE IN A PATIENT
Disclosed is a less or minimally invasive fixation device for fixating a feltable textile (108) at a target site that includes an elongate tubular member, a needle and a drive assembly. The elongate tubular member has a proximal end and a distal end and an interior lumen extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The needle assembly comprises at least one felting needle, which is arranged or arrangeable at the distal end of the elongate tubular member and is movable relatively to the elongate tubular member with a reciprocal motion. The drive assembly is arranged in the interior lumen of the tubular member and operably connected to the needle assembly for moving the at least one felting needle with the reciprocal motion when the at least one needle is located at the distal end such that the feltable textile can be fixated at the target site.
APPARATUS, DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR INCREASING FORCE DISTRIBUTION AT SUTURE-TISSUE INTERFACE
The present disclosure relates generally to apparatus, devices, and methods for increasing force distribution at a suture-tissue interface. In some embodiments, a tissue suturing device may include a deployment device and a plurality of tissue supports deployable from the deployment device towards a target tissue. The plurality of tissue supports may each include a central opening for receiving a suture during deployment.
SUTURE DELIVERY DEVICE
A suture-based vessel closure device can perform the dilation of an arteriotomy puncture and does not require previous dilation of the arteriotomy puncture by a separate device or by a procedural sheath dilator. The suture-based vessel closure device can place one or more sutures across the vessel access site such that, when the suture ends are tied off after sheath removal, the stitch or stitches provide hemostasis to the access site.
SUTURE PASSER DEVICE
A suture passer device for passing a length of suture through an object. The suture passer device includes a hollow tube having a proximal end and a curved distal tube portion extending to a distal end. The suture passer device also includes a handle attached to the proximal end of the hollow tube, an actuator on the handle movable between first, second, and third positions, and an internal arm within the curved distal tube portion and connected to the actuator. The internal arm is movable between first, second, and third configurations. When the actuator is in the first position, the internal arm extends out from the distal tube portion at an angle from the distal tube portion in the first configuration. When the actuator is in the second position, the internal arm is retracted within the distal tube portion in the second configuration.
SUTURE DEVICE
A suture device is provided comprising an elongate body having a longitudinal axis and opposite proximal and distal ends. The distal end inserts into a wound and the proximal end operates the device. A suture needle connects with the elongate body at or near the distal end and is movable relative to the elongate body in longitudinal direction along a needle trajectory having a suturing space. A spreader connects with the elongate body at or near the distal end and engages tissue to be sutured adjacent the needle trajectory and provides a pulling force on the tissue to pull a portion of the tissue into the suturing space; and/or comprises a spring. The device is configured to urge at least a portion of the suture needle from a first position to a second position along a needle trajectory past a suturing space by a spring action of the spring.
SUTURE BASED CLOSURE DEVICE FOR USE WITH ENDOSCOPE
A suture device for use in combination with a delivery system including a lumen extending through the delivery system includes a needle usable to carry a suture, a distal shuttle configured to releasably secure the needle, a sleeve disposable over the distal shuttle, the distal shuttle movable relative to the sleeve between a locked position in which the needle is locked to the distal shuttle and an unlocked position in which the needle is releasable from the distal shuttle. A shaft is operably coupled to the sleeve and a control wire is operably coupled to the distal shuttle. A needle may include a needle cap.
Filamentous tissue implant
A tissue fixation system including a delivery tube and an elongated fastener with a loop at a proximal end and a distal end. A proximal end of an elongated curved needle is attached to the delivery tube. A distal end of the needle is configured to penetrate tissue. The needle includes an open channel sized to receive the elongated fastener with the loop located near the proximal end of the elongated curved needle and the distal end of the elongated fastener located near the distal end of the elongated curved needle. A capture needle is slidably positioned in the delivery tube to slide through the loop in the proximal end of the elongated fastener. The capture needle is configured to grasp the distal end of the elongated fastener and pull the distal end of the elongated fastener through the loop to cinch the elongated fastener.
SUTURING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A suturing system including a sheath, a handle assembly proximal the sheath, an elongate body disposed between the sheath and the handle, a plurality of needles disposed distal the elongate body in a pre-deployed configuration and movable into the elongate body in a deployed configuration, each of the plurality of needles including a needle tip, each needle tip being orientated proximally towards the elongate body in the pre-deployed configuration, and a needle capture assembly disposed between a distal end of the elongate body and the handle, the needle capture assembly including two needle engaging edges longitudinally spaced with respect to each other, with each being configured to interlock with at least one of the plurality of needles.
