The first leg member may also include an inner portion at least partially defining the first inner surface and an outer portion at least partially defining the first outer surface. The inner and outer portions may be joined at first and second portions of the first leg member and separated by a channel. The second leg member may include a proximal portion, a distal portion, a second inner surface, and a second outer surface. The first and second leg members may be movable relative to each other between open and closed configurations, and the first and second inner surfaces may be configured to ligate the tissue when in the closed configuration.

HEMI-BRIDGE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND USING SAME

A method of closing a wound includes providing a first bridging portion comprising a first insert having at least one first eyelet, and a first upper layer of material at least partially disposed over the first insert, and a first lower layer of material disposed below the first insert, the first lower layer of material having an adhesive disposed on a first lower surface, wherein the first insert, the first upper layer and the first lower layer form three zones of different elasticity and stiffness than others of the zones.

POLYMERIC FILM DISONTINUITIES IN WOUND CLOSURE DEVICE
20230172760 · 2023-06-08 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a two-component medical device for closing a wound or incision. The two-component device comprising a first and second component, each comprising an adhesive-backed anchoring member having one edge referred to as the wound edge. The adhesive-backed anchoring members are produced from a polymeric film sheet. Disclosed are instances wherein the adhesive-backed anchoring members are characterized by the presence of one or more discontinuities in the polymeric film sheet.

MODULAR SWIVELING STRAP TIE SYSTEM
20170240327 · 2017-08-24 ·

A strap tie includes a body including a receiving channel and a strap engagement member. The receiving channel extends through the body. The receiving channel is configured to receive a remote strap. The engagement member is configured to engage a movement restriction member of the remote strap to prevent translation of the remote strap away from the body. The strap extends from the body. The strap includes a proximal end attached to the body, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and a plurality of movement restriction members. The rotational element of the body is configured to removably couple to a base to allow the strap tie to rotate relative to the base.

BAND FOR SURGICAL WOUND SUTURE
20220031325 · 2022-02-03 ·

The present invention provides a band for surgical wound suture including a first band having a first left band and a first right band and a second band located above the first band and having a second left band and a second right band, in which the first left band is connected to the second right band, and the second right band is connected to the first left band. The band for surgical wound suture of the present invention provides advantages that an incision may be sutured by a simple operation of pulling the left and right bands to the left and right and attaching them, a feeling of heterogeneity after a suturing procedure may be minimized with a suturing device having a small volume and having almost no hard parts, and furthermore, the incision may be joined and firmly fixed by a wide and sturdy joint joined to both sides of the incision.

A strap tie assembly includes a first strap tie including a first base, a first body including a first receiving channel and a first engagement member, and a first strap extending from the first body. The assembly includes a second strap tie including a second base, a second body including a second receiving channel and a second engagement member, and a second strap extending from the second body. The first receiving channel can receive the second strap. The first engagement member can rotate about a first rotation axis to engage the second strap to prevent translation of the second strap away from the first body. The second receiving channel can receive the first strap. The second engagement member can rotate about a second rotational axis to engage the first strap to prevent translation of the first strap away from the second body.

Anisotropic Wound Closure Systems

Novel compositions and systems for closure of wounds are disclosed. The compositions provide devices of improved flexibility and elasticity and are readily applied to wound sites or over wound closure devices. The present invention is also directed to a novel platinum catalyst for use in such compositions. The catalyst provides for rapid curing on topical surfaces such as skin and bonds to such surfaces in about 2-5 minutes.

WOUND CLOSURE SYSTEM
20220175380 · 2022-06-09 ·

A wound closure system includes a device having a first main body and a second main body. Each of the first main body and the second main body has an adhesive backing. The first main body is coupled to the second main body by an adjustable connector. The adjustable connector is permitted to move in a single direction. In the event of an injury, the first and second main bodies are placed on opposite sides of a wound and are then pulled together, thereby sealing the wound.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR WOUND CLOSURE
