A swaddling garment, such as for swaddling a baby or use as a compression garment, includes a tubular body having a circular neck opening, arm sleeves formed within the tubular body defining arm-receiving spaces, and a torso-receiving space within the tubular body between the arm sleeves. The swaddling garment is a one-piece, seamless, or/or knit swaddle, without closures, configured to snugly receive a wearer's torso and arms.

The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a garment that includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The present disclosure relates to an infant headrest assembly with cloth garment and provides multiple configurations to that system. More particularly, this disclosure describes a structure that may support an infant's head and body. In one illustrative embodiment, the structure may have a cushion that may include an angular indent. The angular indent may include a top on one end and bottom on the other end with a wider gap near the top and a narrow gap near the bottom. The wider gap may provide a head support and the narrow gap may provide a neck support. A cloth garment may be coupled to the cushion near the bottom of the angular indent. The cloth garment may include a plurality of apertures and fastener for supporting or securing the body of the infant.

The knitted textile further comprises a second knit textile that is integrally knit with the first knit textile and comprises a plurality of linear knit portions. A first linear knit portion comprises a first percentage by weight of the first yarn type and a second linear knit portion comprises solely the second yarn type. The first linear knit portion of the plurality of linear portions is directly interlooped with a second leaner knit portion.

The sewing machine is configured to knit and close the open end of a tubular knitted article, comprising a frame, a knitting head and a thread cutter. The knitting head and the thread cutter are disposed rotatably on the frame, the knitting head has a needle, a needle-shaped hook and a knot making peg to form thread knots, and the thread cutter is configured to cut the knitting thread, wherein the thread cutter is configured in a fashion of making a relative movement to the knitting head.

A lower torso garment, such as a brief, includes a body having a pair of leg openings, a crotch portion between the leg openings, and a waist opening, and a waist band connected to the body and positioned at the waist opening. The waist band includes a folded fabric portion forming an inner layer and an outer layer surrounding an elastomeric band. The elastomeric band includes a thermoplastic elastomer film including a styrenic block copolymer, and is positioned between the inner and outer layers.

The knitting method of the present invention includes a thick portion knitting step of forming at least one complete thick portion texture by continuously repeating a thick portion knitting substep n times (n is an integer equal to or larger than 5) while alternating yarn feeding directions, the thick portion knitting substep including feeding a knitting yarn once to a needle row made up of n knitting needles. The thick portion knitting substep performs knit stitch formation and tuck stitch formation on at least one each of the knitting needles and performs miss stitch formation on at least n?3 or more knitting needles.

An improved waistband for lower body garments, such as pantyhose, tights, leggings, or underwear. The waistband is knitted as a tube on a circular knitting machine with horizontal courses with respect to the length of the tube. The tube is configured into a continuous loop and seamed. The tube is perpendicularly sewn to the top of the panty portion of the garment to create the waistband such that the knit courses in the waistband align vertically with respect to the length of the garment. The vertical alignment of the courses in the waistband provide comfort and support while resisting the roll down effect that occurs in knitted waistbands having horizontally aligned courses.

A therapeutic sock is formed from a knit sock body formed in a tubular shape and terminating in a closed toe portion, the toe portion being divided into a first compartment configured accommodating a big toe and at least one additional compartment for other toes. At least one of the compartments has a area of increased compression as compared to a compression in other areas of the sock. The area of increased compression can be disposed on the first compartment and extend longitudinally along a medial edge of the first compartment and/or can be disposed on the at least one additional compartment and extend laterally around a circumference of the at least one additional compartment.
