Subcutaneous implant integrated instrument

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods that comprise an introducer apparatus for facilitating subcutaneous implantation of a medical device. In certain instances, the apparatus may include a housing, an inserter configured to pass the medical device through the housing, and a tunneler configured to form a subcutaneous pocket for the medical device.

LANCET DEVICE WITH FLEXIBLE COVER

The biological test kit is a device for drawing and, optionally, testing biological samples. The biological test kit is an array of lancets set in wells in a rigid base. Each lancet well is covered by a protective cover which when deformed permits the lancet to puncture a user or other patient. In one embodiment the biological test kit employs distinct covers for each lancet and in another the covers are formed from sheet material formed into blisters which cover the lancet.

INCISION SYRINGE WITH DISPOSABLE CARTRIDGE
20170232160 · 2017-08-17 ·

An incising and medicating syringe is described which is configured to form raised skin areas of effected skin and lance the skin to extract subdermal fluid and distribute medical ointment. The device is employed by placement of an aperture over the effective area whereafter translation of a plunger extends a lance which subsequently withdraws to absorb and contain the excreted fluid.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRELIMINARY REGISTRATION
20220031397 · 2022-02-03 ·

Methods and systems for performing a preliminary registration is provided. Image data corresponding to an image depicting a tracking device and an anatomical element may be received. Robot positional data corresponding to a position of a robot may also be received. The robot and the anatomical element may be located in a common three-dimensional coordinate system based on the image data and the positional data to yield a preliminary registration. A suggested robot position may be determined based on the preliminary registration and a dimensional reach of a robot arm of the robot.

Cannula for use in intraosseous injections
11234733 · 2022-02-01 · ·

A cannula for use in a terminable intraosseous device comprises a cannula body, and a penetrator-independent proximal bone penetration indicator (PBPI) associated with the body for positively indicating initial penetration into the proximal bone. In various embodiments, the PBPI comprises a roughened surface provided at a distal end of the cannula body to assist in increasing an amplitude of vibrations that are generated immediately upon contact with a proximal bone cortex during performance of an intraosseous injection, a resilient element fixed at one end which becomes plastically deformed, a visually indicative element which is exposed when the distance between the cannula body and penetrator is changed, or a frictionally engageable element. In some embodiments, a stopper prevents additional penetration into the proximal bone, and a reinforcing member inserted within a cannula body lumen reinforces a thin-walled portion of the cannula body.

Device and method for access to interior body regions
20170319232 · 2017-11-09 ·

A device and method is provided to gain access to interior body regions. The system includes a safety needle assembly, a stylet assembly, a blade assembly, an obturator assembly, and a dilator assembly. The safety needle assembly or stylet assembly accesses an interior body region, after which the blade assembly expands the pathway created by the safety needle assembly or stylet assembly. The obturator then further expands the pathway and delivers the dilator assembly to the desired location. The safety needle assembly, obturator assembly, and blade assembly are removed, leaving the dilator assembly in place for future procedures.

Retraction Mechanism For Medical Device

A device comprises a retractable shaft; a shaft biasing spring; and an actuator button. The retractable shaft is biased away from the actuator button by the shaft biasing spring. A magnetic attracting force is created between the retractable shaft and the actuator button upon actuation of the actuator button. Before actuation, a distance between the actuator button and the retractable shaft is great enough that the magnetic attracting force is less than a biasing force of the shaft biasing spring such that the retractable shaft is biased away from the actuator button. Upon actuation, the actuator button is depressed to make the distance between the actuator button and the retractable shaft sufficiently small such that the magnetic attracting force is greater than the biasing force of the shaft biasing spring to allow the retractable shaft to be biased towards the actuator button.

Tissue tract lancet

The present disclosure is a method and apparatus to prepare a tissue tract having a handle member with a centerline, and a scalpel member fixedly attached to the handle member having a blunt tip, wherein the handle member has a first side positioned at a first positive angle relative to the centerline, and a second side opposite the first side positioned at a second positive angle relative to the centerline.

SUBCUTANEOUS DELIVERY TOOL

Subcutaneous implantation tools and methods of implanting a subcutaneous device using the same. The tool may include a tool body having a longitudinally extending recess having a distal opening and having a tunneler at a distal end of the tool body extending from the distal opening of the recess. The tool may include a plunger slidably fitting within at least a portion of the tool body recess. The recess may be configured to receive an implantable device and the tunneler preferably extends distally from the recess at a position laterally displaced from the device when the device is so located in the recess. Movement of the plunger distally within the recess advances the device distally out of the recess and alongside of and exterior to the tunneler.

Dissection handpiece and method for reducing the appearance of cellulite

A dermatological skin treatment device is provided. The device comprises a handpiece and a cutting tool, wherein the tool is inserted through the conduit and percutaneously inserted into a tissue disposed within a recessed area of the handpiece. The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes.
