Method and apparatus for occlusion removal
A system for removing a thrombus. The system includes an expandable device that maintains axially fixed engagement with the thrombus. The expandable device applies a first force to the thrombus according to surrounding vessel size. The expandable device applies a second force to the thrombus according to an increased vessel size to maintain axially fixed engagement.
METHODS OF MANAGING NEUROVASCULAR OBSTRUCTIONS
Systems, methods, and devices for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke that provide immediate blood flow restoration to a vessel occluded by a clot and, after reestablishing blood flow, address the clot itself Immediate blood flow restoration advantageously can facilitate natural lysis of the clot and also can reduce or obviate the concern for distal embolization due to fragmentation of the clot. Several embodiments of the invention provide for progressive, or modular, treatment based upon the nature of the clot. For example, the progressive treatment can include immediate restoration of blood flow, in-situ clot management, and/or clot removal depending on the particular circumstances of the treatment. The in-situ clot management can include, for example, lysis, maceration, and/or removal.
MAGNETIC DEVICES FOR RESECTIONING A PORTION OF A BODILY ORGAN
There is provided a resection device to remove a portion of a solid organ of a patient in the context of resection surgeries. The resection device includes a magnet assembly implantable into a body cavity of the patient, the magnet assembly including a plurality of magnet elements flexibly connected in series. The magnet assembly is configured to be positioned around a portion of an outer surface of the solid organ to magnetically attract opposite magnet elements together to compress opposite sides of the solid organ along a resection line therebetween to separate the solid organ in a resectioned portion and a remaining portion. The magnet elements can be received in a housing and have various shapes. The resection device can include additional features such as a leading elongated member that can aid in the positioning of the resection device, and a trailing elongated member.

IMPLANTABLE DEVICES AND METHODS TO TREAT BENIGN PROSTATE HYPERPLASIA (BPH) AND ASSOCIATED LOWER URINARY TRACT SYMPTOMS (LUTS)
The invention is devices and methods to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and associated lower urinary tract symptoms infections (LUTS). The devices are intra-urethral implants placed in a patient in need thereof by minimally invasive procedures, preferably under local anesthesia in an office environment. The devices are sized and designed for atraumatic insertion and expansion within the urethra to engage and retract enlarged prostatic tissue proximate to the urethra that is leading to adverse symptoms associated with BPH. The methods include steps to deploy the implant devices of the invention using a delivery system of the invention and at target prostatic tissue that is visualized during the procedure and yields a reduction in the symptoms of BPH.
Method and Devices for Treating Obesity, Incontinence, and Neurological and Physiological Disorders
Methods and devices are disclosed that provide therapeutic benefit and treatment for a variety of neurologic and physiologic conditions that include obesity, urinary incontinence, and sensory system disorders.
Off-wall electrode device and methods for nerve modulation
Systems for nerve modulation through the wall of a blood vessel are disclosed. An example system for nerve modulation may include an elongate member extending along a central elongate axis and having a proximal end and a distal end. The elongate member may have a radially expandable member disposed proximate the distal end. A tubular sheath may be cooperatively engaged with the expandable member such that the expandable member is collapsed when in the sheath and can expand when moved distally relative to and past a distal end of the sheath. The expandable member may include a plurality of electrodes and a plurality of spacer struts. Each spacer strut may be configured such that when the self-expanding member is in an expanded state the spacer strut extends out radially further than the electrodes from the central elongate axis.
RADIAL CUTTER IMPLANT
An implant for creating incisions in the tissues surrounding the bladder neck and the urethra of a patient, for relaxing the opening of the bladder, the implant includes a central connector and at least one wire, the wires extend radially outwardly from the center of the central connector, the wires apply continuous pressure on the surrounding tissues, the wires are foldable within an implant sheath for enabling delivery and extraction thereof, the implant is implanted within a restricted location of the urethra for a period of time for creating incisions at the locations where the wires apply pressure on the surrounding tissues.
TISSUE EXTENSION
A tool for elongating a fibrous length of tissue, the tool comprising: a first group of cutters, the first group of cutters comprising a plurality of cutters spaced apart across a width of the tool so as to form an interleaved set of cutting widths and non-cutting widths; a second group of cutters, the second group of cutters comprising a plurality of cutters spaced apart across the width of the tool so as to from an interleaved set of cutting widths and non-cutting widths; and wherein each cutter of the second group is positioned so as to at least partially overlap at least one non-cutting width of the first group. As each group of cutters is arranged to form interleaved areas of cutting and non-cutting, when the tool is used, each group of cutters will cut some fibres of the fibrous length of tissue while leaving other fibres uncut.
