ARTICLE OF APPAREL
A bra including a closure system, the closure system including a first layered fabric body, a second layered fabric body, a loop assembly secured to the first layered fabric body, and a hook assembly secured to the second layered fabric body. The hook assembly is configured to interface with the loop assembly to secure the first layered fabric body to the second layered fabric body, and the first layered fabric body includes a flexible supporting layer, where the flexible supporting layer is configured to provide rigidity to the second layered fabric body such that the second layered fabric body maintains a flat configuration when it is secured to the first layered fabric body.
BANDED SPORTS BRA
A banded sports bra for supporting breasts during exercise or other rapid movement of a person is provided. The banded sports bra has several pathways for bands that allow support of the breasts during oblique and downward breast motion. The banded sports bra can have left and right primary bands that form a rotated S shape about the breasts to reduce unwanted movement of the breasts. The banded sports bra can also have a secondary band that is provided under the breasts to reduce downward motion of the breasts. The primary and secondary bands can be adjustable to control the tension provided by the bands at tension adjustment regions with adjustment straps.
Upper and lower torso garments having an improved band
A torso garment, such as a brassiere or brief, includes a body formed of inner and outer layers, the body including at least one torso band extending from a portion of the body, where the inner and outer layers overlap along a fold line of the torso garment. The torso garment includes an elastomeric band positioned between the inner and outer layers proximate the fold line.
Bra with storage pockets
Aspects herein are directed to a bra with multiple pockets positioned at different locations on the bra to provide a variety of storage options. The bra comprises one or more portions comprised of layers of material where the pocket spaces are formed between the layers of material. The layers of material of the different portions are joined along their perimeter edges except for one or more select areas that form openings in communication with the pocket spaces.
COMPOSITE YARN, FABRIC THEREOF AND BRASSIERE
A fabric includes an inner textile layer, an outer textile layer, and a middle textile layer. The inner textile layer includes a plurality of microfiber yarns and a plurality of elastic fiber yarns. The outer textile layer includes a plurality of composite yarns. The middle textile layer is between the inner textile layer and the outer textile layer and has a plurality of wave-like polyester fiber yarns. Further, the outer textile layer includes a first weaving region and a second weaving region. The content of the composite yarns in the first weaving region is greater than the content of the composite yarns in the second weaving region.
Leak-Proof Maternity Bra and a Fabric-Made Leak-Protection Pad
Leak-proof maternity bra and a fabric-made leak-protection pad. A bra includes two fabric-based cups, configured to cover breast of a human wearer. At least one of the two fabric-based cups includes therein an internal fabric-based Passepartout framing element, integrally attached to an internal side or the fabric-based cup in which it is attached. The internal fabric-based Passepartout framing element is configured to hold in place a fabric-based leak-protection pad. The pad is formed of multiple layers, including: a first layer formed of high-wicking or quick-wicking fabric; a second layer which is a high-absorbency knit structure; a third layer which is a breathable membrane; and a fourth layer which is a pad-lining polyester element.
Hook and eye closure with alternative spacing
A closure portion for a brassiere includes an inner face configured to contact a wearer's skin while the bra is worn. An outer face faces away from the wearer's skin while the brassiere is worn. A first end is attached to a wing of the brassiere. A free second end is opposite the first end. The eyes on the outer face of the closure portion are arranged in a first column of eyes next to a second column of eyes and a third column of eyes next to the second column of eyes. A first lateral spacing is provided between the first and second columns of eyes, which first lateral spacing is different from a second lateral spacing between the second and third columns of eyes. A brassiere with such a closure portion is also provided according to the present disclosure.
BRA, BRA CUP, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A bra cup for a bra includes an inner layer of material configured to face a wearer's breast when the bra is worn and an outer layer of material configured to face away from the wearer when the bra is worn. An outer face of the inner layer of material is adjacent an inner face of the outer layer of material. A thin polymer web is disposed on the outer face of the inner layer of material. A bra including the bra cup and a method of manufacturing the bra cup are also disclosed.
Methods for controlled application of adhesive and garments formed thereby
A method of manufacturing a garment is provided that includes applying an adhesive layer to a first ply and/or a second ply in a first amount in a first zone where structural support is desired and in a second amount in a second zone where breathability is desired; arranging the first and second plies with respect to one another so that the adhesive layer is therebetween; and activating the adhesive layer to secure the first and second plies to one another.
