Device and method for folding an instrument set in a package
Device for folding an instrument tray into a packaging material, comprising a supporting surface for supporting the instrument tray during folding of the instrument tray into the packaging material, a first folding plate and a second folding plate, a movable folding aid for fixing the packaging material over a predefined line portion before and/or during the making of a fold, at least one movable clamp for gripping and moving the packaging material, a control unit for controlling the movement of the first folding plate between its respective first and second positions, the movement of the second folding plate between its respective first and second positions, the movement of the folding aid, and the movement and clamping and release of the at least one clamp.
HAND-HELD ELECTROMECHANICAL SURGICAL SYSTEM
A hand-held electromechanical surgical device is configured to selectively connect with a surgical accessory. The surgical device includes a power-pack, an outer shell housing, and a gasket. The power-pack is configured to selectively control a surgical accessory. The outer shell housing includes a distal half-section and a proximal half-section, the distal half-section and the proximal half-section together defining a cavity configured to selectively encase substantially the entire power-pack therein. The gasket is located between the distal half-section and the proximal half-section of the outer shell housing. The gasket is configured to create a seal between the distal half-section and the proximal half-section and to provide a sterile barrier between the power-pack and an outside environment outside the outer shell housing.
PACKAGE FOR CAPSULE ENDOSCOPE
The present invention discloses a package for a capsule endoscope. The package includes an inner package. The inner package includes a base and a cover arranged above the base. A first end of the cover is connected to a first side of the base and a second end of the cover is connected to a second side of the base in an assembled mode. When the second end of the cover is assembled and connected to the second side of the base, the bottom surface of the cover and the base form an holding slot for holding the capsule endoscope. Through such arrangement, the present invention improves the existing package and avoids a reduction of performance of the capsule endoscope during transportation.
Packaging Container For A Medical Device
A packaging container for a protected instrument (such as a medical device) includes: (a) first and second complementary clam-shell container components; (b) a cradle for seating a protected instrument formed into the interior side the first clam-shell container component, where the cradle is surrounded on at least three sides by weakened lines formed into first clam-shell container component; (c) a pull-tab extending from the exterior side of the first clam-shell container component, where the pull-tab is positioned within the weakened lines; and (d) a protected instrument seated on the cradle. The first and second complementary clam-shell container components are closed together to enclose the cradle and the protected instrument therein, and the first and second complementary clam-shell components are then fixed together about their respective outer peripheral edge surfaces. Consequently, upon pulling the pull-tab by a user, the weakened lines will tear allowing the cradle to pull away from the first clam-shell container component, presenting the protected instrument to the user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING AND PREPARING A RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION KIT
A system for packaging a kit for a radiofrequency ablation procedure protects a radiofrequency ablation kit without compromising its sterile barrier system through the hazards of handling, distribution, and storage. The system includes: an introducer tray configured to hold at least one introducer; a probe tray configured to hold at least one radiofrequency ablation probe; an outer carrier tray, a pouch configured to hold a tubing kit; and a dispenser carton. The introducer tray and the probe tray are held within the outer carrier tray, and the outer carrier tray and the pouch are configured to be held within the dispenser carton. A method of packaging a radiofrequency ablation kit is further described.
SPINAL DRAINAGE KIT CONTAINER
A spinal drainage kit container includes a body, lid, and hinge; the body includes a peripheral portion and a first grip that is gripped when the lid is to be opened; the first grip is at a first corner of the body, opposite the hinge; the first grip has a first protrusion protruding in a first direction; the lid includes a contact that contacts the peripheral portion when the lid is closed, and a second grip that is connected to the contact and is gripped when the lid is to be opened; the second grip is at a second corner of the lid, which overlaps with the first corner when the lid is closed; and the second grip has a second protrusion that protrudes in a second direction and does not overlap with the body when the lid is closed, and the second direction is orthogonal to the first direction.
SHARPS MEDICAL ADHERENCE LID
Methods and apparatus for a sharps medical adherence lid. A sharps medical adherence lid includes a housing, and a clasping device, the clasping device configured to removably attach the housing to a medical sharps bin, the housing including an upper latch, a spring loaded hinged door secured by the upper latch, a slide adapted to capture an object passing through the spring loaded hinged door, a lower opening configured to receive the object from the slide and enable it to pass in the medical sharps bin.
Systems and Methods for Maintaining a Supply of a Health-Related Item
System and methods for maintaining a supply of health-related items are provided herein. The system includes, but is not limited to, a carrier configured to contain the health-related item. The system further includes, but is not limited to, a container having a compartment configured to store the carrier. The system includes, but is not limited to, an item presence sensor coupled to the container. The system includes, but is not limited to, a sensor tag coupled to carrier and configured to be communicatively coupled with the item presence sensor. The system includes, but is not limited to, one or more data processors configured to be communicatively coupled with the item presence sensor and configured to determine whether the health-related item is present within the container based upon proximity of the sensor tag to the item presence sensor.
