The improved medical procedure or catheterization tray is intuitively arranged. In one example, a catheterization package and catheterization tray has a layout and/or arrangement of components that may help reduce CAUTI rates by facilitating ease of use and aiding in proper aseptic technique during insertion. The medical procedure or catheterization package and/or medical procedure or catheterization tray may include various implements, compartments, and components necessary and/or helpful to the medical procedure or catheterization.
TRAY FOR HOLDING STERILIZATION TARGETS
Disclosed embodiments include a tray configured for holding various sterilization targets. The tray may include a perforated floor member connected to a plurality of vertically oriented walls, which may also be perforated. Together, the floor member and walls define an internal cavity that includes at least one wire support for removably holding at least one sterilization target, such as a medical instrument and/or implant or components thereof, within the internal cavity. Each wire support may include two end inserts and a middle portion, the two inserts secured via connection means to one or more walls of the tray. The connection means may comprise mounting fixtures that further include a plurality of receiving slots or holes each configured to receive an insert. The wire supports may increase sterilant flow and circulation, thereby improving sterilization of instruments and/or implants held within the tray disclosed herein.
Clinical waste container comprising wood fibres arranged with first and second snap-locking means and method for producing the same
Clinical waste container (100) comprising a lower basket part (110) and an upper lid part (120), comprising a cylindrical part (121) having an upper lid opening (122); and a lid cap part (130), arranged to be fastened to said lid part so as to cover said lid opening, wherein the lid part and the lid cap part each comprise cooperating snap-lock means (123, 133), comprising several separated elongated protrusions (133a,133b), together defining a broken circle.
The lid part comprises at a lower end (124) a bend (125) of at least 60, with an inner radius (R1) of at the most 5 mm and an outer radius (R2) of at the most 5 mm, defining a local material thickness increase of at least 25%.
The lid part and the lid cap part comprise at least 30% by volume wooden fibres.
The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such a container.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REPROCESSING REUSABLE MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS
A method and system for reprocessing a reusable medical instrument. The method includes providing a container including a tray and a lid, the tray having an opening for inserting therethrough the medical instrument into an inner space of the tray, and the lid being arranged for closing the opening. The method includes inserting the container into a decontamination device, inside the decontamination device decontaminating the tray, the lid and the medical instrument while the lid is positioned away from the opening. The method includes, inside the decontamination device, a container handler of the decontamination device closing the container by closing the lid onto the tray for closing the opening, and removing the closed container containing the decontaminated medical instrument from the decontamination device.
Vented endoscope tray covers, systems and methods
A cover for an endoscope storage tray is provided. The cover comprises a flexibly deformable material substantially impermeable to fluids. The flexibly deformable material is configured to be temporarily secured to the tray so as to cover an endoscope storage compartment of the tray. A one-way valve is attached to the cover that is configured to release air flowing from the endoscope storage compartment of the tray to the cover. Systems and methods are also provided.
PACKAGE FOR AN OBJECT AND AN ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SUCH A PACKAGE
A package for an object includes a support element with means for coupling the object to the support element. A first hollow protective element is provided as a stopper coupled to the support element of the object. The support element presents a grip portion which projects from the stopper, the support element, alone or in co-operation with the stopper, defining a first chamber containing the object. A second hollow protective element is provided as a cover. The cover is coupled to the stopper so as to cooperate with the stopper to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends. The cover is coupled to the stopper, with the grip portion of the stopper projecting from the cover.
Sheet metal handle, and cover with sheet metal handle
A handle, preferably for a lid of a medical sieve basket, and a method of forming a handle. The handle includes a base body having a handle bar and at least one holding portion adjoining the handle bar, and at least one eyelet-shaped or bent fixing lug arranged at an end of the holding portion opposite the handle bar for pivotal mounting of the handle. The base body is formed of a planar sheet metal that includes at least one lug-like projection at the end of the holding portion opposite the handle bar. The projection is bent to form the fixing lug. The handle can be pivotally secured to a lid.
Allergy skin test applicator, and related testing tray, testing kit and testing method
An allergy testing kit contains a plurality of allergy testing applicators, an allergy testing tray and a plurality of allergen bottles each containing an allergen. Each of the applicators contains an elongated handle, a plurality of arms extending from the elongated handle and disposed in an asymmetrical configuration, and a plurality of legs with tines extending from each of the arms. The allergy testing tray contains a main body having an underside and a top surface, a cover for locking with the main body and a plurality of reservoirs extending from the underside of the main body. The reservoirs each have a chamber with an opening extending from the top surface. The reservoirs are disposed in different groups and each group has an asymmetrical configuration matching that of the applicator.
