Waste container lid assemblies configured for attachment to a base having a lid body and cap portion slidably connected by a tether. The lid body having an opening sized to accept medical waste and restrict access to prevent individuals from reaching into the waste container through the opening. A slot is in the lid body to permit slidable movement of the tether through the slot such the cap can be moved from a resting position in which the opening is configured for receiving waste to a closed position such that the cap portion covers the opening.

Container for surgical instruments and system including same

A system for use in an orthopedic surgical procedure including a container for orthopedic surgical instruments. The container includes a first shell, and a second shell configured to be coupled to the first shell to define a chamber therein. The second shell is configured to be coupled to the first shell in a plurality of orientations including a first orientation in which fluid is permitted to advance into and out of the chamber, and a second orientation in fluid is prevented from advancing into and out of the chamber.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING AND PREPARING A PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE AND ASSOCIATED DELIVERY SYSTEM

A valve cover apparatus for use in a medical assembly including a prosthetic valve and a valve delivery apparatus. The valve cover apparatus includes a housing, a chamber disposed within the housing for receiving a prosthetic heart valve in an at least partially expanded state, a tapered surface defining a portion of the chamber, and a lock ring that is axially movable over at least a portion of the housing between a locked position and an unlocked position. The tapered surface is enables loading and/or guiding of the prosthetic heart valve from the chamber of the valve cover apparatus into a delivery sheath of the valve delivery apparatus and transition the prosthetic heart valve to a radially compressed state. The lock ring restricts movement of the valve cover relative to the delivery sheath when in the locked position, and enables movement of the valve cover when in the unlocked position.

Implantable sphincter assistance device with 3D printed or mim unibody housing

An apparatus includes a plurality of beads, and a linking assembly. Each bead in the plurality of beads includes at least one magnet and a unibody housing encasing and sealing the at least one magnet. The unibody housing includes a magnetically inert material being formed of a particulate powder composition. The linking assembly joins the beads together such that the beads and the linking assembly in arranged in an annular arrangement sized to form a loop around an anatomical structure of a patient. The loop may transition between a contracted configuration and an expanded configuration while being magnetically biased toward the contracted configuration by a magnetic bias of the beads.

Implantable sphincter assistance device with single use emergency release decoupling interconnection link

An apparatus includes a plurality of beads. Each bead includes a housing and a magnet positioned within the housing. The apparatus also includes a plurality of interconnection elements. Each interconnection element movably joins together a corresponding pair of beads. The plurality of beads and the plurality of interconnection elements are sized and configured to form an expandable loop around an anatomical structure in a patient. The apparatus further includes a decoupling element. The decoupling element is positioned along the loop and is configured to selectively release a first portion of the loop from a second portion of the loop in response to application of a threshold force to the at least one decoupling element in a circumferential direction relative to the loop.
