One or more batter chargers are provided on the cart to supply fully charged batteries. A docking station is provided on the cart to receive computers for inventory management and display instructional material. The docking station also can receive communication devices for consultation with outside sources in real time. Additionally, a power strip is provided to power the battery charger (s) and docking station as well as other auxiliary, powered devices and instruments.
SANITATION STATUS INDICATOR FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
An apparatus for indicating a sanitation status of a portable surgical cart or medical tool supported by the portable surgical cart is disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises at least one indicium that visually indicates a sanitation status of the portable surgical cart. The sanitation status is one of at least sterilized or contaminated. The apparatus is configured to be coupled to the portable surgical cart.
Medical cabinet access belt optimization system
A cabinet for securely storing items includes a drawer enclosure, a drawer, a cover, an electric actuator, and a switch. The drawer is slidable at least partially into and out of the enclosure, and includes a compartment. A cover which is configured as a metal belt is designed to selectively block access to the compartments of the drawer when the cover is in a first configuration, and to allow access to the compartment when the cover is in a second configuration. The electric actuator is designed to move the cover from the first configuration to the second configuration in one of two directions. The actuator selects the direction to reduce the time required to make such movement.
Backup surgical instrument system and method
A method for preparing surgical kits for use during a surgery includes preparing a pre-operative surgical plan for a patient and selecting a set of surgical instruments based on the pre-operative surgical plan. The set of surgical instruments includes at least a general instrument, a first size-specific instrument, a patient-specific instrument, and a surgeon-specific instrument. The general instrument is selected from a predetermined group of off-the-shelf instruments. The first size-specific instrument has a first size selected from predetermined sizes. The patient-specific instrument includes a three-dimensional contoured engagement surface configured to nest into a portion of a native anatomy in a single location. The surgeon-specific instrument is selected based on a surgeon preference and is a different instrument than the selected general instrument, first size-specific instrument, and patient-specific instrument. The method further includes preparing a surgeon instrument kit containing the set of surgical instruments in sterilized form.
Smart cart
An interactive surgical device storage and supply cart is provided and includes a top storage assembly having multiple storage containers for various size product packages, a bottom storage assembly having drawers to retain larger packages of sterilized devices and an intermediate shelf having storage trays for frequently used items.
DENTAL LASER SYSTEM AND METHOD
Some embodiments of the invention include a dental laser system including a mobile transportation cart with a cabinet and drawers, and wheels. An adjustment column is coupled to at least one height adjustable table that is configured and arranged to be raised and lowered. In some embodiments, the dental laser assembly is removably supported or mounted on the table, and includes a dental laser, a laser tool or handpiece coupled to the dental laser, and a display assembly mounted in a display mount of the dental laser. In some embodiments, the distance between the dental laser assembly and the cabinet is dependent on an adjusted position of the table. Further, in some embodiments, the display assembly is configured to be pivoted, rotated or tilted, and the display mount includes at least one retractable or moveable grip.
RECOVERY AND PROCESSING OF HUMAN EMBRYOS FORMED IN VIVO
A kit having instructions for use for performing uterine lavage in a female patient includes a uterine lavage catheter configured for insertion into a woman's uterus to remove viable blastocysts from the uterus, and one or more first containers having a sufficient dosage amount of a GnRH antagonist to cause desynchronization of the endometrium of the patient prior to, during and/or following recovery of viable blastocysts from the uterus.
MODULAR AND FULLY TRACEABLE DELIVERY SYSTEM
The exemplary embodiments herein provide a medical cart having a drawer with a post which extends upwardly from a bottom surface of the drawer. The cart further includes a removable medication delivery module having four sidewalls and a bottom wall as well as a plurality of individually-lockable bins placed above the bottom wall and within the four sidewalls. A lock may be positioned above the bottom wall and below the plurality of individually-lockable bins with an aperture on the lock which engages with the post and a hole in the bottom wall sized to accept the post.
Shielded enclosure comprising modular containers
A modular system of medical article containers is used to form enclosures of selectable storage space. The containers are each RF shielded and include an interconnect wall for connecting to another container to form the enclosure. The interconnect walls have a complementary design. The interconnect seam of two containers includes an electrically conductive component that also interconnects the RF shields of the two containers together. The interconnect seam also includes a tortuous path seal for greater RF shielding of the enclosure. The walls of the containers include a substrate of non-electrically conductive material for weight reduction and an electrically conductive element that is coextensive with the substrate. One embodiment is a plastic substrate with a metallic mesh. The enclosure provides a Faraday cage about the interconnected containers. Enclosures of differing heights and sizes can be made, and they may be stacked or otherwise assembled.
Surgical patient side cart with steering interface
A patient side cart for a teleoperated surgical system can include one or more wheels positioned to support the cart for wheeled motion on a ground surface, at least one manipulator portion for holding a surgical instrument, a steering interface having a grasping portion and comprising a sensor positioned to sense turning, fore, and aft forces exerted on the grasping portion to move the cart, wherein the sensor is in signal communication with a drive control system of the patient side cart, and an additional sensor operatively coupled to the drive control system. The additional sensor may be positioned between the steering interface and the wheels on a side of the cart at which the steering interface is positioned, wherein in response to a force exerted on the additional sensor during backward motion of the cart in response to an aft force exerted on the grasping portion, the sensor sends a signal to the drive control system to stop motion of the cart.
