In-Line Suspension Ultrasound Rollstand
Disclosed herein is a system, apparatus and method directed to stabilizing a rollstand for an ultrasound system. The system, apparatus and method pertain to a rollstand comprising a base, an off-center vertical support, and an overhanging support for an ultrasound display of the ultrasound system. The off-center vertical support rises vertically from the base and is offset horizontally from a centroid of the base. A center of gravity of the rollstand may be located above the centroid of the base and above a vascular site of a patient being imaged by the ultrasound system. The overhanging support may be offset horizontally from the centroid of the base in a direction substantially opposite the off-center vertical support.

FUNCTIONAL REACH ASSESSMENT DEVICE AND METHOD
A device that enables an assessment or a management of a medical condition in a patient, includes a base member comprising a pair of surface spaced apart from each other to define a thickness of the base member. The base member can be provided as an elongated base member. Markings are disposed on one surface from the pair of surfaces of the elongated base member along a length of the elongated base member. An array of targets is provided with targets being disposed, during use of the device, below a bottom edge of the elongated base member. Coupling members are also provided with each coupling member coupling a respective target from the array of targets to the elongated base member for a reciprocal linear movement along the length of the elongated base member. The device can be affixed to a structure or provided as a mobile device.

SURGICAL SYSTEM HAVING ASSISTED NAVIGATION
A surgical navigation system comprises a computer system, a tracking system and a projector. The computer system includes instructions for performing a surgical plan. The tracking system is electronically connected to the computer system and has a viewing area in which markers can be located within a three-dimensional space relative to the viewing area. The projector is electronically connected to the computer system and has a beam projectable into the viewing area to display a step of the surgical plan based on a location of a marker. A method for guiding a surgical instrument comprises tracking a surgical instrument within a three-dimensional space using a computer-operated tracking system, matching the surgical instrument to a step in a surgical plan for conducting the surgical procedure using the surgical instrument, and projecting a visual instruction into the three-dimensional space for the step in the surgical plan related to the instrument.

DETACHABLE MOTOR POWERED SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A detachable motor-powered surgical instrument. The instrument may include a housing that includes at least one engagement member for removably attaching the housing to an actuator arrangement. A motor is supported within the housing for supplying actuation motions to various portions of a surgical end effector coupled to the housing. The housing may include a contact arrangement that is configured to permit power to be supplied to the motor only when the housing is operably attached to the actuator arrangement.
