Portable Surgical Methods, Systems, and Apparatus
Portable surgical systems, methods, and kits are described. The surgical systems may include a camera configured to capture images, viewing equipment configured to receive and display the captured images, a processor, and a stand. The camera, the viewing equipment, the processor, and the stand are configured to be housed in a case. Surgery may be performed using the surgical system by retrieving surgical components from the case, assembling the retrieved surgical components into a surgical system, positioning a patient within the surgical system for surgery, configuring the surgical system, performing the surgery with the surgical system, reconfiguring the surgical system during the surgery, disassembling the surgical system after the surgery, and placing the components in the case.
Portable medical treatment kit
A portable medical kit is for treatment of at least one medical condition having first and second levels of severity and includes a portable case having an interior chamber and at least two medicine holders each configured to retain a separate one of a first medicine and a second medicine within the chamber or at least one medicine holder configured to retain both of the first and second medicines within the chamber. A sheet retainer is configured to couple at least one treatment instruction sheet with the case. Further, a first visual indicator is attachable to the first medicine and a second visual indicator is attachable to the second medicine, the second indicator being readily visually distinguishable from the first indicator. Alternatively, the kit includes instructions to form the first indicator and the second indicator.
MEDICAL STERILE PACKAGING UNIT
A medical sterile packaging unit for a sterile-packaged medical product, in particular for a filter module, including a primary packaging with at least one sterile-packaged and hermetically sealed medical product inside it, at least one nestable tray, with a plurality of inserts for each of the medical products packaged in the primary packaging, and at least one sleeve which wraps around the at least one tray with the primary-packaged medical products contained in it.
PATIENT MANEUVERING APPARATUS
A patient maneuvering apparatus including a substantially planar body having a top surface, a bottom surface opposing the top surface, a left end, and a right end. The patient maneuvering apparatus also includes a first handle disposed at the left end of the body and a second handle disposed at the right end of the body, a mesh layer with a mesh layer thickness at least partially defining the bottom surface, a fabric layer of an absorbent material at least partially defining the top surface and with a fabric layer thickness, and a border spanning the perimeter of the body, surrounding the mesh and fabric layers, and with a border thickness greater than the mesh layer thickness and the fabric layer thickness.
WATER-RESISTANT VENTRICULAR ASSIST DEVICE BAG
Embodiments provide a water-resistant VAD bag including an upper unit having the shape of a cylinder, a lower unit having the shape of a cylinder, a controller sleeve, a battery sleeve, two inserted sleeves positioned in between the controller sleeve and the battery sleeve, an inner sleeve, and an inner layer. The upper unit includes a first elongated strap with a clip and second elongated strap without a clip, a cover on top of the upper unit with a handle sewn into the cover, and a zipper around a bottom of the cover. The lower unit includes a connecting strap and a third elongated strap with a receptacle for the clip on the first elongated strap from the upper unit, where the zipper is on the top of the lower unit, and where the connecting strap and second elongated strap are sewn into the lower unit and the upper unit.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR REMOTE PATIENT CARE
A portable patient-care kit is disclosed. The kit includes a housing, a plurality of compartments and a touch-screen user interface device. The housing forms a container space. The plurality of compartments is disposed within the container space such that each compartment is configured to retain at least one medical apparatus. The touch-screen user interface device has a transceiver that can communicate via a mobile data network.
System For Communications in Austere Environments
Systems and methods for remote communications are described. In some embodiments, a telecommunications system may include a case that houses a plurality of antennas, one or more access credentials, and a computing device comprising a processor. The system may be configured to: generate or obtain a plurality of data packets for transmission to a remote site, establish communications links with a plurality of communication nodes, transmit data packets to the first node and the second node, detect an interruption in a communication link to the first node, and transmit a third set of data packets to the second node that would have been sent to the first node in the absence of the detected interruption.
Catheter Storage Assembly
A catheter storage assembly includes a case that is positionable in an open position such that the case forms a table. The case has a first half that is hingedly coupled to a second half. A plurality of pockets is each coupled to the case and each of the pockets has an open end for receiving objects commonly employed for catheterization. A plurality of first legs and a plurality of second legs are each pivotally coupled to the case. Each of the first legs and the second legs is positionable in a deployed position to support the case above a support surface when the case is opened to form the table. A plurality of closures is each coupled to the first half of the case for retaining the case in a closed position.
Systems and Methods for Maintaining a Supply of a Health-Related Item
System and methods for maintaining a supply of health-related items are provided herein. The system includes, but is not limited to, a carrier configured to contain the health-related item. The system further includes, but is not limited to, a container having a compartment configured to store the carrier. The system includes, but is not limited to, an item presence sensor coupled to the container. The system includes, but is not limited to, a sensor tag coupled to carrier and configured to be communicatively coupled with the item presence sensor. The system includes, but is not limited to, one or more data processors configured to be communicatively coupled with the item presence sensor and configured to determine whether the health-related item is present within the container based upon proximity of the sensor tag to the item presence sensor.
ADAPTIVE SPECIMEN COLLECTION ORDER PROCESSING
A method of generating a process for specimen collection is provided. The process includes receiving information about a scheduled specimen collection, determining supplies to complete the scheduled specimen collection, adding the supplies to a toolkit, and generating a standard operating procedure comprising information about the scheduled specimen collection, supplies and toolkit.
