A surgical electronic microscope device (10) includes a microscope unit (110) and a support unit (120) that supports the microscope unit (110). The microscope unit (110) images an operative site of a patient (330) on an operating table (340), and outputs an image signal. The support unit (120) includes a prop unit (290c). The prop unit (290c) supports a second arm (290b) rotatably around an axis (05). The second arm (290b) supports a first arm (290a) rotatably around an axis (04). The first arm (290a) supports the microscope unit (110). Pivoting the second arm (290b) on the axis (05) while keeping the first arm (290a) substantially level makes it possible to change a height of the microscope unit (110). A length (V) of the second arm (290b) is greater than a length (H) of the first arm (290a). Accordingly, a movable range of the microscope unit (110) in a vertical direction is wide. Both an operation performed by a surgeon at a standing position and an operation performed by a surgeon at a seated position can be therefore covered.

APPARATUS FOR GUIDING A MEDICAL TOOL

Apparatus and systems herein support sharps containers and medical instruments trays, brackets, fasteners or holders on a mayo cart. Embodiments include an apparatus for attaching to a mayo cart to support a detachably mounted container, bracket or holder. A first portion has an arm extended to approximately the distance from the mayo cart vertical support pole to an outer edge of a mayo cart tray. A second portion attaches to the vertical pole proximate one end of the apparatus. A third portion attaches with the detachable container, bracket or holder proximate the opposite end of the apparatus. Embodiments may also include a detachable container, bracket or holder comprising an attachment portion to receive the third portion of the support apparatus for supportively attaching to the mayo cart. The support apparatus arm may also be extended to an adjustable length for attaching the container, bracket or holder with the mayo cart.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PHOTOTHERAPY

A phototherapeutic device to perform a phototherapy treatment on a subject for healthcare including medical and/or dental, cosmetic, and/or other purposes. The phototherapeutic device comprises a lamp to emit light for treatment of the subject. The phototherapeutic device may also comprise a control system for controlling operation of the lamp; a cooling system for cooling the lamp; and a user interface for use by a user of the phototherapeutic device. The phototherapeutic device may also have various features to facilitate its use and/or treatment of the subject, such as, for example, an enhanced mobility of its lamp and/or an enhanced capability to provide feedback and/or other information to its user.

MEDICAL OBSERVATION DEVICE, SURGICAL OBSERVATION DEVICE, AND MEDICAL OBSERVATION SYSTEM

Provided is a medical observation device including an imaging unit configured to capture an image of an object to be observed, and output a video signal, and a support unit configured with a plurality of arm units rotatably connected to each other via joint units, and configured to support the imaging unit. An actuator that applies driving force with respect to rotation about a rotational axis of at least one joint unit that defines an attitude of the imaging unit, among a plurality of the joint units that form the support unit, is provided. The at least one joint unit and the actuator are arranged separated from each other, and are connected together via a power transmission mechanism that transmits rotary movement between two rotational axes that are substantially orthogonal to each other.

SURGICAL MICROSCOPE DEVICE AND SURGICAL MICROSCOPE SYSTEM

By using a surgical microscope device, it becomes possible to continue surgery more reliably, even in the case in which the picture of the operating site is no longer displayed normally.

Provided is a surgical microscope device including: a microscope unit (110) that images an observation target, and outputs a picture signal; a support unit (120) that supports the microscope unit, and is configured as a balance arm; and an auxiliary observation device (30) that is attachable to the microscope unit or the support unit. A manually operated manual brake mechanism (40) is provided with respect to at least one of a plurality of rotation axis units constituting the support unit.

STAND APPARATUS FOR SURGICAL MICROSCOPE
20180095234 · 2018-04-05 · ·

A stand apparatus for a surgical microscope includes a stand body and a parallel linkage. The parallel linkage is rotatably attached to the stand body by attaching a lower-end joint thereof instead of a vertical intermediate part thereof to the stand body. When the parallel linkage is tilted frontward, no part of the parallel linkage protrudes rearward. Weight balance of the frontward tilted parallel linkage is maintained by, instead of a counterweight, a compression spring arranged along a rear sub-arm.

System and method for virtually tracking a surgical tool on a movable display

The invention comprises a virtual window system that creates a visual coherency between the image of the patient and his or her anatomy and the patient by aligning the image of the patient anatomy on the display to the patient and presenting the image to the user that feels as if the user is looking directly into the patient through the display. The invention is designed to also display medical devices, such as a minimally invasive tool. The system substantially unifies the coordinate systems of the patient, the medical device, the display, and the physician's hands. The invention creates a visual coherency between the motion of the medical device in the image and the motion of the physician's hands manipulating the device. This invention also creates a visual coherency between the motion of the image in the display and of that display.
