Physiological test credit method
A physiological test credit method determines if test credits are available to the monitor and checks if a Wi-Fi connection is available. If test credits are less than a test credit threshold, the monitor connects to a test credit server, processes server commands so as to download test credits and disconnects from the server. In various embodiments, the monitor is challenged to break a server code, the server is challenged to break a monitor code. The server validates monitor serial codes, and saves monitor configuration parameters.
ATRIAL ARRHYTHMIA EPISODE DETECTION IN A CARDIAC MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device is configured to detect an atrial tachyarrhythmia episode. The device senses a cardiac signal, identifies R-waves in the cardiac signal attendant ventricular depolarizations and determines classification factors from the R-waves identified over a predetermined time period. The device classifies the predetermined time period as one of unclassified, atrial tachyarrhythmia and non-atrial tachyarrhythmia by comparing the determined classification factors to classification criteria. A classification criterion is adjusted from a first classification criterion to a second classification criterion after at least one time period being classified as atrial tachyarrhythmia. An atrial tachyarrhythmia episode is detected by the device in response to at least one subsequent time period being classified as atrial tachyarrhythmia based on the adjusted classification criterion.
Device For Measuring The Therapeutic Observance Of The Wearing Of A Textile Item By A Patient, Instrumented Item Comprising Such A Device, And Measurement Method
A device for measuring therapeutic compliance with wearing a textile item by a patient. The device includes: a flexible electronic card having two opposed faces and designed to be integrated into the item in a manner such that one of the faces is disposed against a limb of the patient when the item is worn; two capacitive electrodes each disposed on one of the faces of the electronic card, orientated in opposing directions and capturing measuring signals which are a function of their environment; a monitoring system disposed on the electronic card and capable of generating compliance data from the measuring signals; and a communications system disposed on the electronic card and designed to transfer data remotely from the item. The device is suitable for selectively detecting Wearing, Not Wearing or Washing of the item, as well as for estimating a potential level of wear of the item.
Optoacoustic component utilization tracking
A serialized probe component for an optoacoustic device has a unique identifier associated therewith and includes, in an embodiment, an operative connection between a read-write memory and the optoacoustic device. Software adapted to generate and store logs in a read-write memory is executed on the optoacoustic device and stores logs concerning utilization of the serialized probe component on the read-write memory. A method for logging operational information concerning an optoacoustic device is further disclosed.
PHACOEMULSIFICATION SURGICAL MULTI-USE PACK USAGE TRACKER SYSTEM
A surgical cassette/pack usage tracker for tracking a number of uses for a cassette/pack to prohibit uses from exceeding a maximum amount. A usage tracker system engages with or scans a portion of the cassette/pack to determine the number of uses. In illustrative embodiments, an implement interacts with a film in the cassette after each use and determines remaining uses for the cassette/pack. In other embodiments, an implement interacts with a rotatable wheel that rotates with each use, the implement configured to permit the tracker to identify the number uses and determine remaining uses for the cassette/pack. When a maximum usage amount is reached, the tracker system may issue a warning, eject or reject the cassette/pack and/or disable the surgical device from further use.
“Smart” electrode assembly for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS)
Apparatus for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation in a user, the apparatus comprising: a stimulation unit for electrically stimulating at least one nerve using electrical pulses; an electrode assembly connectable to the stimulation unit, the electrode assembly comprising a sensing unit, a storage unit, and a communications unit; and a control unit connected to the stimulation unit and the communications unit, the control unit being configured for controlling operation of the stimulation unit based on information from the electrode assembly.
INTELLIGENT ELECTRODE
The invention relates to a medical electrode for recording bioelectrical signals from a muscle, in particular a cardiac muscle, via the skin of a human or animal. The medical electrode comprises: a metal contact (2) for connection to an electrode cable; an electrically conductive electrode plate (3) for receiving the bioelectrical signals; a contact means (4) for establishing an electrical contact between the electrode plate and the skin; and an electronic circuit (7) which comprises a memory (6) for storing electrode-related data.
ENERGY TREATMENT DEVICE
An energy treatment device includes, a first power accumulator which accumulates electric power; a clock generation portion which generates a clock signal based on the electric power; a controller which uses the clock signal to control supply of an energy to be used for treatment at a treatment portion; a trigger portion which generates a trigger signal that permits the clock generation portion and the first power accumulator to be electrically connected so that the controller receives the clock signal; and a switching portion which, in accordance with a presence/absence of the trigger signal at the trigger portion, switches between a connected state, where the clock generation portion and the first power accumulator are electrically connected, and a disconnected state, where the clock generation portion and the first power accumulator are electrically separated.
"SMART" ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY FOR TRANSCUTANEOUS ELECTRICAL NERVE STIMULATION (TENS)
