The apparatus further including a probe coupled to the main processing unit, the probe having a sensor for detecting oxygen saturation of blood circulating through a human. A method is further described including simultaneously measuring and analyzing heart sounds, cardiac electrical signals (ECG) and oxygen saturation of blood circulating through a human. The method further includes performing an algorithm to determine the presence of a significant congenital heart disease and displaying management recommendations based on results of the algorithm.
WEARABLE COMPUTING DEVICE
A smart ring includes a curved housing having a U-shape interior storing components including: a curved battery approximately conforming to the curved housing, a semi-flexible PCB approximately conforming to the curved housing and having mounted thereon: a motion sensor for generating motion data from physical perturbations of the smart ring, a memory for storing executable instructions, a transceiver for sending data to a client computer, a temperature sensor, and a processor for receiving motion data and performing executable instructions in response thereto, and a potting material disposed in the interior, forming an interior wall of the smart ring, wherein the potting material encapsulates the components and is substantially transparent to visible light, infrared light, and / or ultraviolet light.
SOLID BODY OF A BIOMEDICAL DEVICE FOR ACQUIRING PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF A PATIENT, AND RELATED BIOMEDICAL DEVICE
The present disclosure is directed to a solid body for a biomedical device, wearable by a patient and configured to acquire one or more physiological parameters of the patient. The solid body includes a first rigid portion, a second rigid portion and a connection portion of flexible type which couples the first and the second rigid portions to each other; and a control circuitry accommodated inside the first and/or the second rigid portions. The connection portion is interposed between the first and the second rigid portions, is integral therewith and is deformable so as to allow a relative movement of the first and the second rigid portions. The first and the second rigid portions are physically couplable to a first and to a second ECG electrode to couple the solid body to the torso of the patient. When the rigid portions are coupled to the ECG electrodes, the control circuitry is electrically coupled to the ECG electrodes and is configured to acquire, through the ECG electrodes, respective electrical signals indicative of said one or more physiological parameters.
Pumping fluid delivery systems and methods using force application assembly
A method of dispensing a therapeutic fluid from a line includes providing an inlet line connectable to an upstream fluid source. The inlet line is in downstream fluid communication with a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a pump outlet. The method also includes actuating a force application assembly so as to restrict retrograde flow of fluid through the inlet while pressurizing the pumping chamber to urge flow through the pump outlet. A corresponding system employs the method.

MEDICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF STERILITY TESTING THE MEDICAL SYSTEM
A medical system is disclosed. The medical system has a housing and a module received in the housing. The module includes an analyte sensor configured for detecting an analyte in a body fluid of a user, an electronics unit electrically connected to the analyte sensor, an insertion component configured for inserting the analyte sensor into body tissue of the user, and a sterility cap at least partially surrounding the insertion component. A removable protective cap is connected to the housing and covers the module. The protective cap at least partially surrounds the sterility cap. The sterility cap has a sterility testing access that has at least one of a septum and a multiple-step sealing. A method of sterility testing the medical system is also disclosed in which a rinsing liquid is inserted into an interior space of the sterility cap and microbial testing of the rinsing liquid is then completed.
MEDICAL OR SURGICAL EQUIPMENT
In a medical or surgical equipment for receiving signals or for outputting signals from or to organic signal transmitters or receivers (4), such as in particular nerves, wherein on or in at least one carrier strip (1) at least one signal transmitter (2) for signals from or signals to the organic signal transmitter or receiver (4) is provided, which can be brought into contact with the organic signal transmitter or receiver (4), the carrier strip (1) is intended to change its shape when there is a change in a medium surrounding it or in a medium present in it or by a medium that can be introduced into it, in such a way that it adapts to the organic signal transmitter or receiver (4).

DISPOSABLE PATCH ELECTRODE STRUCTURE AND CONNECTOR OF BIO-SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM, BIO-SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONNECTING WITH DISPOSABLE PATCH ELECTRODE STRUCTURE
A disposable patch electrode structure comprises a front flap and a main structure, which is attached to skin for a bio-signal measurement, the patch electrode structure feeding electrical bio-signals to a bio-signal device separate from the patch electrode structure. The front flap is separated from the main structure by a non-enclosing front flap cut, material of the front flap being thus formed as continuous material of the main structure. Materialistic connection of the continuous material between a rear section of the front flap at a non-enclosing side of the front flap cut and the main structure allows tilt of the front flap with respect to the main structure in response to rise of a frontal section of the front flap with respect to the main structure. The front flap is fully surrounded by the main structure. The front flap comprises contact electrodes at the frontal section, the contact electrodes being both connected with measurement electrodes of the main structure through conductors via the materialistic connection and connectable with counter-electrodes of a connector separate from the patch electrode structure.
