Posterior nasal packing with integrated sensor as patient tracker
An apparatus includes an occlusion device operable to fit securely in an anatomical passageway within a head of a human. The occlusion device is configured to move unitarily with the head when the occlusion device is installed in the anatomical passageway. The occlusion device is further configured to prevent passage of fluid through the anatomical passageway when the occlusion device is installed in the anatomical passageway. A position sensor is fixedly integrated into the occlusion device. The position sensor generates signals indicating a position of the occlusion device in three-dimensional space, thereby indicating the position of the head in three-dimensional space. A connector communicatively coupled to the position sensor is operable to receive and transmit the signals generated by the position sensor.
Detecting artifacts in a signal
This disclosure is directed towards detecting artifacts in an ECG signal. An ECG system may include multiple sensors which can sense an ECG signal when attached to a patient. Bipolar leads connect the sensors, and provide the ECG signal from the sensors to a computing device. The computing device receives respective signals from the bipolar leads, where the respective signals are indicative of the ECG signal. The computing device identifies, based on the respective signals, a potential artifact corresponding to a subset of the plurality of bipolar leads. The computing device determines that each lead of the subset of the plurality of bipolar leads is connected to a common sensor. The computing device may use signals originating from a remainder of the bipolar leads (e.g., the bipolar leads that are not connected to the sensor(s) where the artifact is detected) to detect a condition of the patient.
ELECTRODE BAND, ELECTRODE STRUCTURE, FEED LINE, AND ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE IMAGING DEVICE
The present invention provides an electrode band, an electrode structure, a feed line, and an electrical impedance imaging device. The electrode band comprises: a band (1) which is elastic and is provided with a first surface (11) and a second surface (12) which are oppositely disposed; and a plurality of electrodes (4) fixed on the first surface (11) and provided with male buckles (43) which penetrate through the band (1) and are exposed on the second surface (12), the male buckles (43) being electrically connected to the electrodes (4). The electrode band of the present invention is simple in structure and low in cost, and can rapidly and conveniently fix the electrodes to the body of an object to be measured, and the fixing efficiency is high; the electrode band is elastic, and when the electrode band is fixed around the thoracic cavity of the measured object, the elastic force of the band is converted into pressing force on the electrodes, so that good contact between the electrodes and the skin of the thoracic cavity can be ensured; and the electrode band and the feed line are provided in a split mode by means of a male buckle-female buckle structure, so that the design of the electrode band is simplified, the feed line can be repeatedly used, and the replacement cost of the electrode band is reduced.
HEAD SIZE ADAPTATION MECHANISM FOR AN EEG NET
An electroencephalography net (44) comprised of electrodes (34, 36) coupled together by a connector (28) comprising separate elastically (32) and plastically (30) deformable elements.
ORAL BODY DEVICE
An oral body device is provided for attaching to and detaching from an oral appliance that has an electrical connection portion. The device includes a body, and an attachment/detachment operation unit that has an electrical connection conductor and is configured to detachably attach the oral appliance to the body portion by operating application and release of force to the oral appliance. Moreover, the attachment/detachment operation unit fixedly attaches the oral appliance in a state in which the electrical connection portion is electrically connected to the electrical connection conductor by applying a force to the oral appliance, and releases the fixation by releasing the force applied to the oral appliance to detach the oral appliance.
CONVERSION ADAPTER
A conversion adapter is provided that includes a radio communication unit that receives biological information based on digital data transmitted from an external biological sensor by radio communication; a converter that converts the biological information based on the digital data received by the radio communication unit to biological information based on analog data; a connection unit that is connectable through wire to an external biological information monitor and that outputs the biological information based on the analog data converted by the converter; a power supply unit that supplies power to the radio communication unit and the converter; an operation input that receives operation performed by a user; and a body part provided with the connection unit and the operation part.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR EXTERNAL CARDIAC PACING
Systems and methods for cardiac pacing during a procedure are disclosed and may include an external pulse generator (EPG) for connecting to a lead. A remote-control module (RCM) wirelessly connected to the EPG may include user inputs to control the EPG. A central processing unit (CPU) with a memory unit for storing code and a processor for executing the code may be included where the CPU is connected to the EPG and RCM. The code may control the EPG in response to user input from the RCM. The CPU may be disposed in the EPG or the RCM, or an interface module (IM) configured to communicate between an otherwise conventional EPG and the RCM. The executable code may perform a continuity test (CT) routine, a capture check (CC) routine, rapid pacing (RP) routine, and/or a back-up pacing (BP) routine, in response to user input from the RCM.
