A garment portion comprises a flexible resilient belly panel portion adapted to substantially conform to and cover a wearer's belly. A heat blocking apron assembly includes an apron that may be worn on a front of a pregnant woman's body. A first strap is coupled to the apron and the first strap is placed around a neck of the pregnant woman. A pair of second straps is provided and each of the second straps is coupled to the apron.
