Temporary dental prosthesis for use in developing final dental prosthesis
A method of manufacturing a permanent prosthesis for attachment to a dental implant installed in a mouth of a patient includes scanning a patient specific temporary prosthesis (PSTP) to obtain scan data. The PSTP is attached to the dental implant in the mouth of the patient. Gingival tissue surrounding the PSTP is permitted to heal in the mouth of the patient. In response to aesthetics of the healed gingival tissue surrounding the PSTP in the mouth of the patient not being acceptable, the PSTP is physically modified by (i) removing material from the PSTP, (ii) adding material to the PSTP, or (iii) both. The modified PSTP is scanned and a permanent prosthesis is fabricated as a replica of the modified PSTP using scan data generated from the scan of the modified PSTP.
DENTAL IMPLANT SURGICAL GUIDE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A dental implant surgical guide and manufacturing method thereof are provided. The dental implant surgical guide comprises a retainer, a guide portion, and an indicator. Said guide portion is located on either the tongue side or the palatal side of a patient, and comprises a guiding groove corresponding to an implant hole and an opening being connected to the guiding groove; said indicator comprises an extension portion and a terminal, wherein the extension portion is extended from the retainer to an implant platform of a missing tooth portion, while the terminal indicates a location of the implant platform. Therefore, locations of the implant platform and the implant hole of the missing tooth portion will be positioned by the dental implant surgical guide when placing the dental implant surgical guide on the missing tooth portion.
Force-closure or form-closure positioning of surgical templates for guided implant dentistry
Surgical templates and methods of manufacture to assist in a surgical procedure such as dental implant placement, where the positioning of the surgical template onto its supporting surface is achieved through using a limited number of contact features that are located such that a force-closure or form closure positioning of the surgical template with respect to the supporting surface is achieved.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED BONE SUPPORTED SINUS GUIDE FOR EDENTULOUS MAXILLARY ARCH
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
Guide for zygomatic dental implant drills
An apparatus for guiding a zygomatic implant dental drill installed in a dental handpiece includes a collar configured to seat on a neck portion of the dental handpiece, with an offset post extending from the collar. A first extension extends from the offset post parallel to the neck portion, and a second extension extends from the first extension. The second extension is oriented parallel to the zygomatic implant dental drill, extending from the first extension to be co-terminal and off-set from the zygomatic implant dental drill. By observing the travel of the second extension along a patient's face, a dental surgeon can guide the zygomatic implant dental drill inside the patient toward the patient's zygomatic bone.
Implant placement key
A guide-sleeve is couplable to an oral surgical guide at a fixed rotational orientation, height, and angle with respect to oral anatomy. An implant delivery device, couplable to a dental implant, drives the implant into tissue of the subject by rotation of the delivery device about its longitudinal axis until the delivery device lockingly engages the guide-sleeve. When the implant lockingly engages the guide-sleeve, the implant is disposed in the tissue at a fixed rotational orientation, depth, and angle with respect to the oral anatomy, and any further advancement and rotation of the dental implant with respect to the tissue is prevented. Other embodiments are also described.
NANOCERAMIC DENTAL PROSTHETIC
A method of installing a dental prosthetic device includes securing a first guide member to an alveolar arch in a mouth of a patient. The first guide member is utilized to achieve a substantially planar bone surface along the alveolar arch. A second guide member is coupled with the first guide member. The second guide member is utilized to install one or more implants in the alveolar arch through substantially planar bone surface. A dental prosthetic is secured to the one or more implants. The dental prosthetic includes nanoceramic material.
ENDODONTICS SURGICAL STENT
Dental surgical stents can be used to assist a dental surgeon. A hard tissue stent can include an access hole formed in one side and may be placed over one or more of the patient's teeth where the access hole is accurately aligned at a location for drilling to, for example, remove infection. A soft tissue stent may be placed over one or more of the patient's teeth, where the stent can include a mark positioned where the surgeon is to cut to create an access flap in the soft tissue. By keeping the flap attached to the semi-circular window of the soft tissue stent, the surgeon can more easily return the flap to the proper position.
Dental implant system
A dental implant and final prosthetic placement system for small-diameter implants (and method for using the system) in which a final prosthetic is digitally designed and created, and is itself used as the drill guide to place the implants. The final prosthetic is held in the predetermined proper drilling position by a stent, such as an occlusal guard. The combination of final prosthetic (with holes through which the small-diameter implants are drilled to secure it) and the stent encasing the final prosthetic, is itself the drill guide.
Therapeutic tooth bud ablation
Ablation probe tips (108, 148, 320, 360) and physical and virtual stents (110) for use in tooth bud ablation procedures that result in tooth agenesis as well as tooth bud ablation methods are described herein.
