Molds for custom dental implant abutments and impression posts
Molds for fabrication of custom and potentially modifiable abutments and impression posts for dental implants with various degrees of angulations (including zero degrees) and various dimensions are provided, with a generally oval shape that expands laterally upwards, a symmetrical or asymmetrical cross-section, and regular surfaces, that are fabricated as one piece, or as two coupling pieces snapping onto each other. Custom abutments achieve the development of a custom gingival emergence profile, three dimensionally, which is potentially modifiable according to the needs of each particular clinical case. Custom impression posts that correspond in dimensions and angulations to the abutments allow the accurate recording and transfer of the developed gingival emergence profile from the mouth onto the working cast, where the final implant prosthesis is fabricated. Custom abutments and impression posts have properties and design that allows their preparation and usage as temporary abutments for the cementation and support of temporary prostheses.
Method and system for tooth restoration
A method for denture restoration includes steps of generating sets of digital information of a mouth cavity of a person for providing firstly either an orientation appliance or a temporary restoration and subsequently a final restoration. The digital information is generated firstly from the mouth cavity alone and subsequently with the orientation appliance or the temporary restoration within the mouth cavity. The invention also relates to a system for performing this method, and to an orientation appliance and a prosthetic guide to be used in performing the method.
Disposable surgical intervention guides, methods, and kits
The present invention relates to devices, kits, and methods for planning and carrying out surgical interventions and/or radiographic imaging, particularly dental implant radiographic imaging or surgical interventions.
Positioning jig and improved methods to design and manufacture dental implants
This invention is directed to a positioning jig for preparing a two or more of adjacent teeth for a dental prosthesis comprising a member with (i) three or more parallel bores in the member and (ii) one or more means to attach the member to a dental articulator. The invention is also directed to methods of use of the position jig such as to prepare a series of aligned holes in teeth or aligned holes mockup of a dental bridge for a prosthesis.
DENTAL COMPONENT GRIPPING DEVICE
A dental component gripping device may have an exterior surface with a proximal end, a distal end, and an intermediate region between the proximal end and the distal end, and a bore with a distal portion within the distal end, a proximal portion within the proximal end, and an intermediate portion between the distal portion and the proximal portion. The distal portion may be sized to receive and grip an exterior, proximal surface of at least one dental component such as an abutment, a transfer, and a healing collar. The intermediate portion may have a reduced-diameter zone in which the bore has a diameter smaller than in an entirety of the distal portion. The reduced diameter portion may help to retain a fastener within the distal portion of the bore. The dental component gripping device may be formed of a resilient material such as a Silicon-based material.
Fixation Base and Guides for Dental Prosthesis Installation
Apparatus and method for installing a multi-tooth dental prosthesis in one session are shown and described. A first tool attaches to the jawbone, and serves as a foundation for subsequently used guides. Existing teeth and dental fixtures are removed, and the bone tissue is removed to accommodate the prosthesis. Subsequently, a drill guide is used to drill implant holes. An abutment guide is then used to place abutments. Copings are then installed. Next, the prosthesis may be installed and cemented to the copings. A resinous filler material may be applied to fill gaps and holes in and between the copings and the prosthesis, and is sanded smooth. The first tool, the guides, and the prosthesis are predesigned and prefabricated based on images taken of the patient anatomy.
Therapeutic Tooth Bud Ablation
Ablation probe tips (108, 148, 320, 360) and physical and virtual stents (110) for use in tooth bud ablation procedures that result in tooth agenesis as well as tooth bud ablation methods are described herein.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DENTAL IMPLANT PLANNING
Disclosed are a system and method for dental implant planning. The method for dental implant planning includes: detecting a region in which a plurality of teeth has been lost based on a teeth image; placing a plurality of virtual crowns in the region in which the plurality of teeth has been lost; receiving a user's confirmation for the plurality of virtual crowns; and setting up a plan for a plurality of implant objects, to be placed in the region in which the plurality of teeth has been lost, based on the plurality of virtual crowns.
Partial surgical guide
A method for forming a surgical guide for a dental patient rotates material about a rotation axis to a first angular position and drills a drill guiding hole using a drilling tool having a drilling tool axis. The drill guiding hole is centered about a guide axis that is orthogonal to the rotation axis. A first planar surface of the guide is formed from the material, wherein the first surface is. oblique to the guide axis. The material is repositioned to orient the first surface orthogonal to the drilling tool. A hole pattern is formed having two or more positioning holes in the first surface, with the pattern corresponding to a pin pattern in a tray that is positionally registered to a dental arch of the patient. A second planar surface of the surgical guide is formed, parallel to the first planar surface.
