Method for producing a dental drilling template
In order to make a custom dental drilling template, a single impression element is used that becomes a part of the later drilling template. To achieve this a guide-passage element is glued to the impression element. The exact position of the guide passage relative to the impression element prior to gluing is found by fixing both elements relative to each other on the same mounting plate using a periodic 2-D mounting structure. The passage element is mounted by an intermediate mounting element that is machined such that it carries the same or mating mounting structure according to positional data and that has a fitting area for fitting the guide passage to it.
SURGICAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM, SURGICAL NAVIGATION METHOD AND PROGRAM
A system stores clustering information obtained by clustering multiple sets of viewpoints relative to teeth of a three-dimensional model of a patient and projection images of a head including the teeth from the respective viewpoints. At the time of a surgery, the system creates comparative images from a photographed image taken by a monocular camera and searches for any viewpoint having a projection image similar to the comparative image sequentially from a first hierarchy to a final hierarchy in the clustering information. The system sets a representative viewpoint based on the viewpoint of the final hierarchy, restores position and posture of the teeth of the patient relative to the monocular camera as position and posture of the teeth of the three-dimensional model relative to the representative viewpoint, and generates and outputs a navigation image based on position and posture of surgical information relative to the teeth after the restoration.
Dental drill system
A dental drill system is provided, comprising a drill having a drilling part with a first end configured for drilling a hole in a jaw bone and a shank part with a second end configured for connection to a drill-rotating device and a guiding sleeve for guiding the drill. The guiding sleeve has a first side facing the drill-rotating device and a second side intended to face the jaw bone during a drilling operation. A guiding through-hole extends from the first side to the second side. A rim also extends at least partly around the circumference of the drill, and the system comprises a drill stop sleeve provided with a recess extending circumferentially around an inner side of the drill stop sleeve, allowing the drill stop sleeve to be snap-locked onto the drill. The guiding sleeve also comprises a flange that defines an end position for the drill stop sleeve.
Method of using an edentulous surgical guide
A dental appliance set may include a base frame and at least one attachment. The base frame may be configured to engage at least one of a gum tissue area, a bone structure, an existing detention, and an artificial fixed prosthesis of a patient. The base frame may have an arcuate shaped structure and may not obstruct a surgical site region of an alveolar ridge of a patient jaw. The at least one attachment may be attachable to the base frame using a second connector element selectively engaging the first connector element. The at least one attachment may be configured to obstruct at least a portion of the surgical site region of the top ridge. The base frame and the at least one attachment may be configured to be fully received in the patient's mouth in an assembled orientation.
THERAPEUTIC TOOTH BUD ABLATION
A custom surgical stent for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis.
Fixing pin support for dental prostheses and method of the manufacturing thereof
An improved fixing pin support for a dental prosthesis in order to be able to connect the dental prosthesis to a jaw by means of fixing pins which can each be moved through a guide bore in the fixing pin support. The improved fixing pin support has a guide sleeve separate from it which can be temporarily fitted over the fixing pin support so that the guide bore can be formed in the fixing pin support through a guide channel in the guide sleeve, by precise guidance of a drill. After this, the guide sleeve can be removed from the fixing pin support.
Drill assistance device, screw guide device, and orthodontic tool installation-assisting device set
An aspect of the present invention is a drill assistance device comprising: a drill guide device that serves as a guide when forming a plurality of holes from a curved surface of a hard palate having the curved surface; and a guide sleeve that is fitted in the drill guide device in an attachable and detachable manner. With this device, it is possible to easily and accurately perform the hole making with a drill and the implant of a screw in an oral cavity. The drill guide device comprises: a guide frame unit that is formed by connecting a plurality of tubular guide frames to each other; a fixing member to be capped on a tooth of a patient; a connecting portion that connects the guide frame unit and the fixing member and determines arrangement of the guide frame unit on the curved surface; and at least one protruding portion that holds the guide sleeve inserted in any of holes inside the guide frames. The guide sleeve comprises: a tubular sleeve main body having an inner diameter that allows the drill to be inserted and an outer diameter that allows the sleeve main body to be inserted in any of the guide frames; a water injection slit that is provided in the sleeve main body; and projecting portions that are each fitted in at least one recessed portion provided in the at least one protruding portion when the sleeve main body is inserted in any of the holes of the guide frames.
Tooth implant method
An accurate and precise surgical guide for dental procedures, especially a procedure involving a subject with few or no teeth as well as methods for making and use of such guides.
Capped, guided dental implant shield
A guided dental implant shield having an implant connector piece where the implant is positioned and an inner shield where the implant connector piece is placed in such a way to grasp the implant, an outer shield with monolithic structure which moves by sliding on the inner shield and guides it at an angle inside the cavity opening to the jawbone, and which has an angled part at its lower end, and a cap which is positioned under the outer shield in such a way to isolate the implant inside the shields.
A REUSABLE AND ADJUSTABLE SURGICAL JIG SYSTEM FOR MANDIBLE TUMOR RESECTION AND RECONSTRUCTION
The present disclosure describes a reusable and adjustable surgical jig system (100) for mandible tumor resection and reconstruction. The system 100 comprises base plates (1), L-shaped fixation plate (7), a straight-cut guiding member (10) and an angular-cut guiding member (14). The jig system 100 is formed by connecting plurality of base plates (1) to each other via the mechanical arrangement (6,13) and forming a U-shape structure, adapted for mounting and adjusting the various elements (7, 10, 14) either above or below the base plates (1), as desired for performing mandible tumor resection and reconstruction.
